The nation’s leader in Executive Function coaching has been serving clients since 2006. Beyond BookSmart works with students and our WorkSmart Coaching division focuses on serving adults. Executive function coaching teaches students and adults how to organize, plan, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, self-assess, and study efficiently. Self-management skills are increasingly important in a complex world with many distractions and competing priorities. People who learn these skills are better equipped to navigate the challenges of school and adult life. Many of our clients are bright, capable individuals in late elementary school to adults of all ages who are not achieving their potential as a result of ineffective work habits. Some have diagnoses such as ADHD or other learning differences and see coaching as excellent additional support to school-based interventions. Some of our clients have emotional challenges such as anxiety which impact their ability to work effectively. Other clients we work with have no formal diagnoses yet benefit from learning more effective ways to manage their academic or workplace demands. Our coaches work 1:1 online to help people learn how to manage their time, attention, effort, and emotions, as well as stay organized, plan and prioritize, self-advocate, and become more self-aware. Using our deep understanding of the nature of behavior change, our coaches help clients discover their own motivation to become more effective at school or at work. All of our coaches have master’s level degrees or higher (or equivalent) and have been rigorously vetted and trained, with access to over 400 tools and strategies to customize each client’s experience, according to their needs and preferences.

A Total Game-Changer for My Son!
So far we've had an amazing & supportive experience with Beyond BookSmart. The initial phone call with Stephanie was great. She was compassionate & easy to talk to. Unfortunately, Stephanie was not included in the coach-matching process, which was completed in less than 12 hours after we submitted the form. So at first, my son was matched with a coach I knew would not be a good match for several reasons. This left me wondering if they even read Stephanie's notes from the initial call.
I immediately emailed Stephanie to express our concerns with the coach they chose. She understood & took my concerns seriously. She immediately began the re-match process for us. And now my son is matched with the perfect coach for him. His coach really gets him. They had instant rapport & from the first session he's felt so supported, understood & heard. It's truly a game-changer for my son.

We are two weeks in and are learning a lot. I appreciate having a partner in this work with my son. Nancy is knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. The things that I appreciate most thus far are:
• Affirming/ asking about him/ his interests
• Emphasis in questionning goes beyond academics to family/ non-academic/ going on campus
• Distinguishing between perfection vs. awareness
• Reflecting on when he is having problems
• A chance for me to listen in and learn

We had an incompetent EF coach
We had an incompetent EF coach. I called and spoke to a team member who seemed very receptive. I was told that we would be contacted for a rematch.
We were never contacted.

Magic
Our coach is a perfect match for our child. I refer to all of her tips as “magic” because my child is open to trying them and their motivation to organize and complete homework is suddenly much higher. We haven’t totally nailed all things but everything about school work is different now.

Employer With Very Neurodiverse Workforce
As an employer with a very neurodiverse workforce, we've had Beyond BookSmart present at our Neurodiversity Guest Speaker Series and our EAP Mental Wellbeing Expo. Both presentations were informative, interactive, helpful and well received! Our Beyond Booksmart coach has been a gamechanger
Our Beyond Booksmart coach has been a game changer for our college student. Our coach has helped our kid develop successful strategies for managing their coursework and dealing with challenges. Our kid has also been really engaged in the process, setting goals for themself and engaging with all of the techniques and tools that their coach has recommended.

Huge strides in time management and organization!
My daughter’s coach, Meghan, really took the time to understand what makes my daughter tick and how to coach her towards better behaviors based on what she puts value in. My daughter always looked forward to their sessions and I can see big changes in her organization, her setting of priorities and follow through and her time management.
