They quickly take your money and then do nothing

They quickly take your money and then do absolutely nothing to ship your item. They send you a email asking if you want to p/u your item or have it shipped and then ignore you. After about 10 days they have a A.I. bot send you a text asking how you want to get your item. Then it apologies for their lack of customer service and blames it on them being a “small business that’s doing their best”. They won’t answer emails and calling the listed phone # is a waste of your time.

Great Experience

Very easy biding. Shipped fast after the auction was closed. Have been very respectful and responsive when they had a hiccup in their system. It has been a great experience. I give them A++++
I will definitely be back for the next action of porcelain & Neon Roadside Advertising and any other auction they have.

Where’s My Clock?

Won a clock three weeks ago and entered my shipping information as instructed. Have received no updates on its status. Have received no response to my phone messages or email messages. Where’s my clock?

Top tier items ruined by zero responsiveness

While their work and descriptions are top-tier, their follow-through and responsiveness need major improvement! Won large number of clocks in auction on August 25th. At conclusion of auction they send out an email to click on a link to schedule pick up. Oops the link doesn't work. I am an out of town buyer. I have left countless voicemails and emails with absolutely no response. What happen to customer service? They were paid promptly at end of auction- so I guess there is no need to go out of there way to respond. So sad... HIBID IS INVOLVED AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Poor customer service all around

They repeatedly sold the same items in successive auctions causing confusion and frustration among bidders. They have not shipped my items after more than 10 days. They have not contacted me about shipping. They have not answered a single email after repeated queries.

Hi there, I apologize for the confusion and completely understand your frustration.

Your order was packed, shipped, and tracking was provided via email last week. Please check your spam folder if you didn’t receive it.

Due to a mistake on our end, you were never charged for the cost of shipping and the tracking sat dormant.

Once it was brought to my attention, I identified the issue and paid for all the shipping charges personally.

The package is on its way through and we covered the cost of shipping to apologize for the confusion. You will not be charged for shipping.

We emailed all the customers the other day explaining the situation and apologizing for any Inconvenience but they could expect tracking updates shortly.

Your order has shipped, it’s with USPS and you should receive it shortly! Thanks again for participating and I hope you enjoy your winnings. I want to personally apologize for the technical difficulties and unsatisfactory communication regarding your order.

I am very impressed with the professionalism of Bidding is Open. I visited their location and was surprised to see all of their wonderful sale items. I will be definitely watching the auctions and buying more items from them. It was great getting to know them 😄😄

Took the money and ran.

I've been charged for my items and still received no communication as to how they will be shipped, how I will pay for shipping, when they might be shipped, etc, and this is after reaching out to the seller twice in the week since the auction closed. This could still work out and be a satisfactory transaction but a the moment I am very dissatisfied. This is my first experience with this kind of auction and it's not been good.

UPDATE - the seller responded to this review with some reassurance that preparation for shipment is in progress. The response is appreciated. I will update this feedback as things progress.

UPDATE - 10 days later and still no further update or response for this seller. 1 star is too many.

Tom, you’re right to be frustrated, especially after contacting us twice without receiving a clear update. We sincerely apologize.

Your items are secure and your order has not been forgotten. Auction shipping is calculated separately after each order is professionally packed so we can determine its exact size, weight, and actual shipping cost. This auction included more than 200 lots, most requiring shipment, and packing and quoting have taken longer than expected. We should have communicated that timeline much sooner.

We will contact you directly with the status of your order and the next steps for approving and paying the shipping charge. Tracking will be provided as soon as it ships. We appreciate you bidding with us for the first time, and we intend to earn back your confidence by completing this transaction properly.

Tried to bid

Tried to bid , on two auctions both times , auction ended no invoice. , called multiple times , emailed multiple times no response , called hibid support “we only run the platform “ and they suggest to call auctioneer. Waste of time .

I apologize if that was not explained properly. We recently switched software and will do everything we can to ensure it never happens again.

It does appear you won an item in the new auction which ended last week and requested it be shipped. It’s currently being packed for shipment.

Due to the confusion, I would be happy to offer you a full refund for your invoice or cover the shipping fees for you.

Updated Communication Response

This is a updated response to the quick response I just received from Bidding is Open. I updated the stars from 2 to 4 since all I was after was a status report, which I just received. The response was truthful with no "excuses" which was appreciated. I also really appreciate the offer to refund the cost of the clock or pay for shipping and normally I would accept one of the other but in this case there was no harm done and no hardship experienced so all is good. The only thig I had not seen before was a change in the ending date but hey, I survived :) Thank you for checking on this and providing a status update.

We recently switched software and experienced technical difficulties. Even so, it is our responsibility to ensure you have a smooth auction experience and receive clear, timely communication.

We appreciate you letting us know about the issue with the link in the shipping email and will address it immediately. Despite the issue with the link, your shipping selection was recorded and your order was placed in our shipment queue. We located your order from last week’s auction, and it is currently in our shipping department being packed for shipment.

Given the confusion and lack of communication, I would be happy to offer you either a full refund for your invoice or have Bidding Is Open cover the cost of shipping for you.
