We hired Binary Futures LTD to help us transition our ecommerce operation to Shopify and bring several different sales channels into one more manageable system.

Our business sells a lot of one-of-a-kind vintage merchandise and vinyl records, so inventory synchronization is extremely important. We needed Shopify to function as the central hub while continuing to sell through Discogs, Etsy and eBay. Their team helped implement Shopify, connect Discogs using Disconnect, and integrate Etsy and eBay through LitCommerce.

This was not a simple plug-and-play project. There were a number of moving parts and a few technical hiccups during the process. I was fairly hands-on with testing and troubleshooting as we went, and Disconnect support also had to step in to correct a couple of issues on their side. It ultimately became a collaborative process between Binary Futures’ team, myself and the third-party providers.

Most importantly, we kept working through the issues until the system was functioning properly. We now have orders from our different sales channels flowing into Shopify and a much better structure for managing inventory across platforms.

I also came away from the process with a much better understanding of how the different integrations work, which has been valuable for managing the system going forward.
