À propos de l'entreprise
Écrit par l'entreprise
Black Flamingo Homes ltd has created the UK’s 1st shared living housing scheme, exclusively for key workers only — starting with: 🚔 Police 🔥 Fire 🚑 Ambulance 💊 NHS 🎓 Teachers 🔒️ Prison officers As a key worker myself of almost 20 years, finding suitable housemates has been genuinely difficult. Strict security clearances, having to declare personal details of anyone you live with (and get approval to live with them), plus finding people who actually understand what shift work does to your life, is stressful and tough! So I'm doing something about it.... Introducing #ProjectBrooklands! The first KEY WORKER ONLY CO-LIVING accommodation (provided by a key worker) in the UK! ✅ Security checks already completed so no vetting issues ✅ Housemates that understand shift work ✅ Safe, peaceful and stylish home for our valued front-liners! ✅ Designed specifically with shift workers in mind ✅ Exclusively for key workers! Coming to Liverpool 2026! Further cities to follow soon! Let's make this easier for the next generation of frontline workers 🖤

A genuine game-changer for key worker housing
I had the chance to view Black Flamingo Homes' first key worker accommodation property, and it's honestly hard to overstate how impressive this is. As someone who understands the daily pressures faced by police officers, firefighters, teachers, and nurses, seeing a development actually built for them — rather than as an afterthought — feels long overdue.
The property itself is a genuine surprise in the best way. Six bedrooms, each with its own private kitchenette, means residents get real independence and privacy rather than the cramped, shared-everything setups so often associated with "affordable" or subsidised housing. The finish throughout is genuinely high-end — think quality fixtures, thoughtful layouts, and a level of craftsmanship you'd expect in premium private rentals, not typically in accommodation aimed at public sector workers. Every detail, from the kitchenette fittings to the overall build quality, shows real care and investment rather than corners being cut.
Well done Gemma, you are a force of nature.
