Very disappointing after-sales experience from Blauberg

The Quiet Style 100 humidistat bathroom extractor fan developed a clear mechanical fault after around 3 years of normal domestic use, becoming extremely loud with a squeaking noise. To be fair, Blauberg’s service team reviewed the video and photos and confirmed in writing that the unit was “definitely faulty.”
Unfortunately, what followed was an unnecessarily long and frustrating warranty process.
From the outset, we explained that this is a hard-wired bathroom extractor, meaning removal of the faulty unit and later installation of a replacement would require two separate electrician visits, doubling the cost. We asked whether a replacement could be sent first so both removal and replacement could be done in a single visit, but this was refused.
We then requested a refund instead, explaining that forcing two visits for a £53.75 fan created disproportionate cost and inconvenience, but this was also refused after initially being suggested as an option, on the basis that the item had been purchased via Amazon rather than directly from Blauberg. Return postage reimbursement was also declined on the same basis.
As a result, we were effectively compelled into the most costly and inconvenient resolution, despite having clearly highlighted the avoidable expense from the beginning.
The process was further complicated by repeated requests to reconfirm information already provided multiple times, including the exact model, order details, and delivery address.
The company also changed position more than once:
• initially suggesting that refund or replacement were both possible; later stating replacement only
• initially indicating return postage reimbursement may be possible; later withdrawing that
After returning the faulty unit, the replacement process was also problematic. We were initially told that tracking was not available, but tracking details later appeared only after we chased the delayed delivery. The parcel was marked as “delivery attempted” with no card left, and we ultimately had to arrange collection ourselves from the depot.
This return-before-replacement process resulted in us being deprived of the use of the bathroom extractor for over three weeks; an outcome that could have been avoided with a more practical and customer-focused approach.
In the end, the replacement was provided, but only after a prolonged back-and-forth over many emails and a process that created far more hassle, delay, and expense than should ever be necessary for a clearly faulty product. It ended up taking a total of over nine weeks between reporting the fault to Blauberg and receiving the replacement extractor fan.
While the product fault itself was disappointing, the warranty experience was significantly more concerning. The level of delay, inconsistency, and avoidable inconvenience encountered throughout the process would make us hesitant to purchase from this company again.
Rated 2 stars only because the replacement was eventually provided.

Poor products and poor customer service.

Bathroom fitter installed a Calm 100T fan which is quite expensive - it barely lasted a year. Hoping to fix and reuse the fan, I phoned Blauberg customer service 0n 06/11/2025 and spoke to someone called "Bushra" more than a week a go. She took down my phone number and promised a call back but as of today (14/11/2025) nothing.
Will be using another product in the future.

Outstanding customer service from Blauberg UK

I had a small issue with my Vento Expert mechanical ventilation unit. Without any obligation to help me at all, Lewis and his team went above and beyond to sort my issue. I was very impressed by their attitude, and willingness to help someone that they didn’t have to help.
10/10 customer service.

Their mechanical ventilation units are also excellent.

Poor quality products

Poor quality product - fan unit completely failed after just a a few months. Inferior quality and Blauberg support very poor. Have now purchased a main-stream brand which should be more reliable. Would not buy Blauberg products again after this experience.

Excellent Customer Service

We had a minor problem with our domestic Inline fan requiring two replacement fixing straps. We contacted Customer Service, armed with our Credit Card, and spoke to Dhruvika who, before we knew it, had replacements despatched to us arriving by lunchtime the next day. The Credit Card wasn't needed as they were replaced under warranty. Thank you Dhruvika for the knowledgeable and professional way you dealt with our problem

Fantastic service

Fantastic service from Dhruvika in customer service. We had an issue with the inline fan covers included in a kit provided by our builder and following a conversation with Dhruvika the matter was sorted and alternative parts dispatched and received a few days later. Dhruvika went out of her way to resolve the issues - VERY impressive. Many thanks……….👍👍👍👍

Order/Customer Service

The online ordering process could not have been easier. It was not only straightforward, but coupled with accurate tracking data thereafter. Post-purchase, we have encountered a number of issues (mainly as a result of our contractor accidentally losing a number of pieces). The Blauberg customer service could not have been better. Dhruvika and Elliot were always responsive with their replies and were able to go above and beyond to resolve issues which were not of their making.

Wonderful customer service.

You will see a few similar reviews re excellent customer service. My 4 year old fan failed. I filled out an online form and Dhruvika from customer service rang me the next day. She arranged a replacement and emailed me with status updates on delivery as the item was out of stock initially. The replacement fan was then delivered and Dhruvika followed up to make sure all was well. Very unusual to get this level of attention from a company. Highly recommended - and the fans are good quality too !

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. My Blauberg calm 100 extractor fan was bought from a Blauberg supplier in 2021. I filled out an online enquiry form and Dhruvika from customer service called me the next day. She gave clear advice that my faulty fan was still within the warranty period of 5years and I can obtain a replacement from the original supplier. She also sent an email outlining this to avoid me having any difficulty obtaining the replacement.
I was able to get the replacement for the faulty fan.
Dhruvika was excellent in giving advice and helping me locate the manufacturer’s date stamp.
The whole process was effortless.

Excellent Service

When my fan impeller cracked - despite it being out of warranty, and the part not normally available as a spare - they offered a free replacement. Customer service was exemplary throughout.

Very rapid, friendly and efficient customer service

Very rapid, friendly and helpful customer service regarding an extractor fan that had become faulty the day before. I completed the online form late on Thursday afternoon and received a phone call first thing Friday morning. After a quick conversation and me sending a photo of the manufacturers date stamp on the fan, a replacement was arranged to be sent next day under the 5-year warranty.
I don't think that you could be better that for rapid, efficient and friendly customer service. Their products are excellent and having now experienced this excellent customer service I am very happy to recommend Blauberg

Blauberg Experience

I can’t believe the 1 star reviews having just dealt with Blauberg i found them professional in their approach to my issue, after an exchange of a few emails they replaced the faulty item by next day post, no questions asked the all experienced took just 4days, if asked i would have no hesitation in recommending Blauberg

Warranty honoured

A small domestic Blauberg fitting failed within its warranty period, though outside its guarantee. Our electrician recommended contacting Blauberg to request a replacement. The procedure was not quite as straightforward as I had hoped, but Blauberg were swift to respond, polite, and quickly arranged supply of a replacement, thereby honouring the warranty. I am satisfied with the outcome.

Technical support only useful if you…

Technical support only useful if you actually don't need help! First person advised completely wrong. Rang back to try and get some better understanding. Person was helpful but then had to ring back and he was confrontational - Kept saying there was nothing more he could help with. Yet wasn't answering the question. I then asked him if he wasn't answering because he didn't know and said maybe he didn't. I asked to be put through to someone else who did actually help. Still need further advise but made to feel I can't ring back. Perhaps if the instructions were easier to understand there wouldn't be a problem. This is after spending over £2K! Myself and electrician have wasted several hours trying to understanding the slim wall kits that are purchased separate with the vento machines. Be aware that any mention of the minimum wall depth doesn't say that to achieve this you have to leave certain parts off which means it is less efficient and also more noisy! Which means for me it doesn't meet my needs after all!

Blauberg are apparently a hugely…

Blauberg are apparently a hugely dishonorable company.
We pre-ordered a ventilation unit before Christmas through a distributor of their produces.
Fast forward several months of delays.
Apparently Blauberg increased their agreed price of by a multiple of five times, refusing to supply the product to their supplier at the agreed price. Meaning my order was cancelled by the supplier after months of delay.

I will never use or recommend their products ever again.

Day light robbery

By far the worst company I have come across! They sold us the wrong machine; it has no WiFi connection and guess what? There is no device to attach to it to make it WiFi compatible so we were heavily overcharged for the machine we ordered and the one sent. Of course they are very sorry for this and wanted to fool us with only £140 as a sorry based on no logic. We are taking them to the court now once the time we were told to wait for them for last chance to reply. I was assured that we will win it but having to go through this hassle and waste the time with them is frustrating; I just guess until then my reward is that my friend agreed not to buy it when I shared my experience. I am confident I will be able to protect more others. In all fairness it is my fault for not reading the reviews; it’s clear like day light how “brilliant” they are.

Absolutely useless technical support

Absolutely useless technical support. We had a problem with the commisioning of a large Blauberg MVHR unit. The problem concerned the boost control logic and the person who tried to help me had no idea what they were talking about, suggesting at one point that we change all the switches for 2 pole type (Really?). how this was to be wired or how it was going to help they couldn't tell me.
I kept trying to tell them that I thought the problem was due to EMI ie noise affecting their control board but I might as well have been talking to the wall. Finally they suggested changing all the switch wiring in the house, a house that was fully finished and waiting for the MVHR to be commissioned so it could be signed off by building control.
Ultimately, after a month of no help I fixed the problem myself with the addition of a £1.00 component.
I would suggest you avoid this company unless you are prepared to redesign circuits to fix their problems.

The issue that you reported during installation and the resulting trouble-shooting advice given is based on a common installation problem our team is presented with where control and power cables are in close proximity.

Lacks customer service and manners

Lacks customer service and manners.
A horrible rude company that doesn't care for its customers. Reluctant to give refunds and no sense of urgency. Prices are higher than most companies in this field.

Absolute waste of money! Misadvertised data by suppliers and customer service suffers from poor communication. Cannot answer questions beyond pointing to a link where the info appears non existent!
