BLME opening hours are from 9am mon to fri it is now 1115am and there answer phone is still on i cannot contact them......avoid placing savings with this company they are not reliable......
My company opened a 95 day notice account late last year offering 4% through my broker Flagstone Group. Without warning yesterday they announce a change to 1.1% to take effect 17th April.
This should be illegal!

Very protracted procedure to open a 90 day notice account, very poor communication during the process and outdated systems in order to get account details with no simple way to access the account online to confirm that I had made a sample payment into the account before adding further sums.
This Bank needs to improve it's act if it wants to be a serious contender in the marketplace because there's lots of other competitive options.
I've had savings accounts with BLME for several years since their rates were recommended by one of the comparison websites. I've always found them helpful and professional.
I've had a few accounts with BLME. I missed the cut off to re- invest my most recent policy with them ( an abnormal time period of 6 days- before the maturity date!!) due to circumstances.
Compound this with a change to my nominated account prior to the maturity date. Now, I think 5 days is enough time to sort out changing a nominated account??
That's what they had.
Today , maturity day ,I contact BLME, - "where's my money please"? Only to find that ,despite, having my new nominated account on file ,they still managed to send all my money to the OLD nominated account. This now means I have some sort of protracted hassle with my money in limbo,until BLME get it back and send it to where it should go!!
They seem to want ages to do what other banks do the same day
I have other accounts with them and will be pulling the cash, based on this performance.....
I would like to add that nothing was confirmed by BLME. - the changing of the nominated account ,or even where and that they had sent my money - I had to find this out myself . Shocking really ....
TERRIBLE SCAMMERS! always calling x10 a day to sell their product honestly awful marketing. do better
I opened a 90 day notice account. I gave 90 days notice but later decided to keep the cash deposited with them as the rate was good, so I called them. I thought they would be pleased I was keeping my money with them. It turns out the notice cannot be reversed! So the account was closed. Very strange way of operating.
Apart from this, everything else was good.

Have had two accounts with them. They are very quick at replying to emails so 10 out 10 for communication. The only annoyance is that when your account matures you then have to wait up to 3 working days before you see the monies returned to your nominated account.
It is true that they don't offer online facilities, but that is stated in their terms and conditions. However, they do send out very nice looking paper certificates with all your account details printed on them. Plus they keep you fully updated with well written letters.
I have had no issues with depositing or withdrawing funds.
Opened account. They accepted funds. Kept them for 6 weeks and then returned to my bank account with no explanation.
They don't give you an online account so you can't see what is going on.
Cost me £200 in lost interest.
