Beware Blue Horizon Medical
Blue Horizon Medical
Upon deciding that having a blood test was a good idea, I shopped around and picked Blue Horizon Medicals.
On 30th December 2021 I paid for one of their Core Wellman test kits including an appointment with my local BMI hospital to draw blood. It arrived quickly with the instruction to phone my nearest BMI to book an appointment. All seemed above board as I had received a A4 sheet called BMI Phlebotomy Passport, which read at the bottom “Please Charge Blue Horizon Medicals, Not the Patient" It included a payment code.
So off I went; Handed over the test kit and the paperwork to the nurse and she took my blood. She then gave it all back to me to return to Blue Horizon. It seemed a strange thing to do, but having never done it before thought it must be ok. So I went to the post office and sent it off.
A while later on 14th January 2021, I received a report telling me that there was something wrong with the labelling so the lab couldn’t do the test, so it was going to cost more money. My immediate thought was “This is a Con” so I sent back an email, pointing out that I had paid for a professional service, and expected just that. It wasn’t paying any more!
Blue Horizon agreed to send me another kit: It never arrived. So I kicked my wounded pride at being ripped off and forgot all about it.
Then on 20th June 2021 I received a demand from Circle Health Group (BMI) together with a copy invoice for the visit I made to their hospital.
After loads of calls and emails with Circle Health Group and finding Blue Horizon don’t have a phone number and do not reply to emails, Today, (21months later) (16th September 2022) that according to Circle Health Groups business services department that Blue Horizon don’t even have an account with Circle Health Group. So I paid my bill and licked my wounds.
A few years ago, Blue Horizon were good, and my wife used them a few times and was happy. But they are not so good now!
