We had a beautiful family holiday in Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka Tours.

What a beautiful holiday we had booked through Blue Lanka Tours that we chose because of excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Mr Deminda was our port of contact and easily contactable on whatsapp and pretty much all booking was done through whatsapp messages. Mr Dinesh the Owner of the company was in touch as well to make sure everything is taken care of. It shows the level of customer service we recieved from the time we were booking till the end of our journey. I travelled with my wife and two kids 7 and 4 yrs old. wife and 7 yr old suffer with travel sickness and the way the tour was designed it took into account of such sensitivities as well. We had never done road trips before but this experience has given us the courage to go for more in the future. We planned to stay for 7 nights in Srilanka and started our journey from airport where we were recieved by Mr Bandu the tour driver who stayed with us throughout the journey. He recieved us with a BIG smile and was very good with kids and they loved him to the bits.

We were taken to Negombo where we stayed a night at Jetwing Hotel and next morning we took off on a luxurious Toyota Van ( very comfortable ) to Kandy which stop over to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where the lunch table was even reserved for us by Mr Bandu with beautiful views of Elephant Bathing ( stunning experience ). After that we went for an Elephant Ride which was bit tricky but it was a life type experience that will stay with us for a long time. After finishing this stop over we continued towards Kandy where we stayed at Grand Kandian Hotel with such a beautiful room with sunset views ! We were taken to Gem Place ( a bit more expensive than what we eventually got in Colombo Hilton Hotel at Careem’s Gems ). Cultural Dance was also very good included in our itenary and had the front most seats booked by Tour Operators ) Stayed there for two nights and then Nuwariliya was our next destination with Stopovers at Tea Factory ( expensive tea buy so if not fussed about a particular brand then buy from grocery stores !)

Ramboda Falls is not to be missed on our way to Nuwariliya and the restaurant Mr Bandu took us to that too reserved with best views of the Falls was amazing. We got a bit of rain there but it was really a beautiful sight and experience. Then we continued to Nuwariliya ( Total Journey 5 hrs with with multiple breaks didnt feel tiring at all ). Stay at Nuwariliya was at Araliya Green Hills which was a good hotel with reasonable views but rooms were comparitively small but I would suppose like any hill station hotels they had smaller rooms compared to other hotels we had been so far in Srilanka. Food at all hotels was beautiful with a good mix of local food ( Egg Hoppers were the breakfast winner for us ) and for Dinner rice with daal with lots of pickles ( best ever I have had in my life ) and vegetables ( Brinjals in particular were amazing ) . Sea Food Place ( Restaurant ) near The Araliya Green Hills is to stay away ( Below Average Food ).

In Nuwariliya we had a beautiful 30 mins lake ride ( inclusive of our itenary ) and then Walk in the Victoria Park reminded us of UK hence this place is called Little England !

In our stay in Nuwariliya Mr Deminda got our room changed to get a better view and also on our return to Coloumbo we initially planned to have train until Kandy but we had a change of mind and decided to go ti Coloumbo via train and all this last min change was catered by Mr Deminda with a smile ! Train Trip is a must to do with stunning views. Go for AC compartments though.

Mr Bandu followed us in his van and our luggage to coloumbo and met us at Galle Face Hotel which is a colonial times Boutique Hotel and is a sight seeing historical place with a mini museum inside the hotel with antique decor. Views and Sundet over there was amazing. Pool is a but deep therefore not for kids minimum depth 1.5 meters ( 5 foot ).

We went for Shopping Spree in coloumbo rather than site seeing ( being hot and humid ). Places to shop Odel ( local shopping with good quality , Barefoot ( hand made items , a must go to ) Ceylon Spa ( beauty items and spa )

Stayed in Coloumbo for 2 nights and then were taken by Mr Bandu to Airport on time and I must say he has really made a good effort in making sure we reach each destination on time to utilise our trip.

Another tip: Dont Buy anything from airport its all charged in dollars and pretty expensive comapred to outside.

Expertly organized and coordinated trip for the O'Connor family which incorporated Negombo, Dembulla, Sigiriya (lion rock), Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala and finally Galle.

Rishan was excellent with his manner and knowledge of Sri Lanka; but also at keeping us safe on the busy roads!

It also seemed like he knew everyone in Sri Lanka as each stop he was greeted as a close friend (especially at the Grand Hotel!).

Thanks to him and all at Blue Lanka for making this such a memorable trip.

At the beginning of November 2018 my wife Esther and I decided to go for a third visit to Sri Lanka. We had been to this country already in the years 1976 and 1982. A very long time ago!

I looked in the internet for a tour organisation and found immediately Blue Lanka Tours. On their website I found a questionnaire which I filled in and returned it immediately. Within 24 hours I received an answer from Pramila, who asked in return what we had in mind.

I sent her my proposal for a 14 days round trip through the middle and southern parts of Sri Lanka and asked Pramila to do a feasibility check and let us have hotel proposals at the various locations. Within a few days I got her answer wherein she confirmed that my travel plan was possible in that way and she sent proposals for accommodations. Esther checked the foreseen hotels and had nothing to
complain about and we finalised the deal. So within 14 days we had it all together.

The payment process via Internet went very smoothly without any problems for both sides.

On March 15th we arrived at Colombo Airport and were welcomed by our driver Yoga who turned out to be a true pearl for us throughout the whole journey through Sri Lanka. During the sometimes «special» traffic conditions he kept his nerves and his coolness. He knew all the places which we wanted to see as well as the shortcuts. He fulfilled, we guess together with either Pramila and/or Deminda, also some extra wishes from our side. With his easy manner he brought us also land and culture closer so we understood many things better.

We enjoyed these two weeks travelling through a beautiful country with the comfortable Blue Lanka car very much and are very glad that we decided to come to this island for a third time.

Finally we would also like to thank Pramila and Deminda from the Blue Lanka office in Colombo for their support. We always got fast answers to our inquiries. This trip will remain unforgettable in our memories thanks to your efforts.

Having looked at the usual UK tour companies (Audley, Kuoni, etc.) we finally decided to book our 16 day holiday with Blue Lanka, having seen the glowing reviews posted on this and other travel web sites. I have to say we were not disappointed! Blue Lanka provided a high quality and professional service from start to finish. Natasha, who took our booking, was wonderful - always friendly, patient and quick to respond, helping us put together a tailored itinerary that was both realistic and manageable. Right from the off, you feel that you are in control of the holiday and the experience.
A big shout out too for the fantastic Mayura, our driver and guide throughout the holiday, who is one of the friendliest, most charming and professional guides we’ve ever had. We quickly came to regard him as more of a friend than a guide, who genuinely had our best interests at heart and was always looking out for us. His driving skills are excellent and we never once felt unsafe on the busy Sri Lankan roads. He has a wealth of knowledge to share, which he does in such a warm and amusing way, and will happily talk about any subject you are interested in. All of the hotels, activities and guides that Blue Lanka booked for us were wonderful; even when we had one small problem with the accommodation at one hotel, Mayura and Blue Lanka immediately helped put it right. I really could not fault Blue Lanka at all during the entire holiday - such a brilliant, professional and friendly service. When we visit Sri Lanka again, it will definitely be through Blue Lanka and hopefully with the wonderful Mayura as our driver.

Sri Lanka is an amazing island, full of culture, breath-taking places and friendly people, offering to the tourists a wide range of activities and experiences.
Villages, Towns and cities vary from one another and all have unique and different things to offer.
However, for a lifetime and unforgettable experience, one needs to choose the right Tour agent company and be also fortunate to have a guide/driver assisting him.
We chose Blue Lanka Tours and were assigned to an exceptional guide/driver, Dilshan Rajudeen.
Blue Lanka are a very professional and a reliable company, with an impeccable service. One of their managers, Mr.Deminda Fernando called us almost every three days, asking us how we are doing, if we are enjoying the tour and also checking if we require anything. This is what I call a FIRST CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

And what about our guide/Driver, Mr.Dilshan Rajudeen ... a professional and very friendly person, who within a couple of hours you feel at ease with him. He is an excellent English speaker, making it so easy to communicate with.
Dilshan was also very flexible during the Tour, sometimes going out of his way to accommodate our requests. In order to take the best of our Holiday, he was continually suggesting and offering options with regards to starting times, slight plan adjustments, restaurants, etc..., which always worked.
We highly recommend Blue Lanka Tours and yes, why not asking for Mr.Dilshan Rajudeen as your Guide/Driver.

Blue Lanka Tours were outstanding in our planning and delivery of our holiday in Sri Lanka. This company was reliable, professional and organised a brilliant 14 day tour for us. Our driver, Sagara, was excellent ensuring that we had the right balance of fun activities and rest time. We had a fantastic variety of activities and greatly enjoyed the 14 days.

My wife and I have just completed a 14 day private tour with Blue Lanka, from Negombo to Galle, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Sri Lanka is a wonderful country and Blue Lanka introduced us delightfully to its diverse attractions of ancient sites, great wildlife and welcoming culture. Our driver-guide was Sagara Bandara and he was outstanding - capable, respectful, friendly and knowledgeable. We also valued his great organisation and total reliability. Our Audi A3 vehicle was always clean and provided the two of us with very comfortable transport throughout the trip. We appreciated too the personal support of Blue Lanka’s administrative team - Natasha provided a range of itinerary options over a number of emails to personalise our experiences and accommodate our particular needs; similarly, Blue Lanka manager, Deminda Fernando, contacted us at different stages of the tour to ensure that we were being well looked after. Lastly, I was greatly impressed by Blue Lanka’s ethical approach to tourism and social harmony - some of the payment for our tour was used to provide foodstuffs for a needy family, and we appreciated the opportunity to help deliver it.

I’m 32 year old woman coming from Italy, with close to none experience with traveling completely by myself. When planning my trip to Sri Lanka, I was hoping for a solution that could provide me with safety, support with deciding on where to go/what to do, the guarantee of a high quality daily guidance in a country I didn’t know. I found this and more with Blue Lanka.
In the planning phase, they’ve been very responsive and helpful all along. I told them what I was interested in doing/seeing either precisely and vaguely (“I’d like to see a tea plantation”) and they have helped me define the details of my trip, accommodating my need to be dropped in a specific place on the Southern Coast. As for the tour itself, I’ve been enjoying greatly every day. I had an amazing experience working with Blue Lanka tours starting from the planning stage right through the actual tour.
I worked with Sachin De Silva during the planning stages. We exchanged 60 emails! He was patient with my questions and needs. I am a very well travelled individual, having visited 70+ countries so am very particular about details and what I desire out of a tour. He was the only tour operator who answered my inquiry and gave me the actual specifics I needed out of the 4 tour companies I emailed in Colombo. I think this speaks highly of Blue Lanka’s professionalism and exceptional customer service.
My 2 girlfriends and I had Thushara as a guide and Lakmal as a driver on our biannual girls trip. We can’t thank them enough for how well they took care of us during our 5 day tour of Colombo and Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa area. Thushara is very professional,knowledgeable and anticipated our needs before we could even voice them. He was flexible when we wanted to change aspects of our itinerary and suggested interesting local sights which we very much appreciated. Lakmal was a very cautious and safe driver which we again very much appreciated and this duo made our trip so much fun and memorable. Their easy going personalities, sense of humor while maintaining a constant sense of professionalism ensured that everything went smoothly and pleasantly.
They gave us a local phone for use when we met them at our local hotel so we could always be in touch with them and I thought it was brilliant that Thushara always wore the company’s uniform which really distinguished him from all the other tour guides we saw not only in his appearance but also in the way he performed his work and conducted himself. The operations manager called me midway through the tour to check on how the tour was going and that was very professional and thoughtful.
I also had Blue Lanka arrange our accommodations and that was a huge relief. They arranged for us a very nice boutique hotel which met our budget and needs and I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka was amazing as a country; the scenery, food but what was really outstanding were the people and it all started with Blue Lanka. Keep up the great work!

I had the great fortune of traveling with my sister for her birthday in February to beautiful Sri Lanka. We have traveled for several years to many different parts of the world on our own but this time I did not have the time to figure out all the details before the trip. After some research I came across the most excellent Blue Lanka Tours company and emailed them with my inquiries. Immediately I was connected with Sachin Da Silva our tour consultant. He developed an itinerary for us that worked out perfectly after several changes for the most fabulous 10 day Sri Lankan tour. He was very responsive and respectful of our requests. We had the luck to have the most awesome driver guide in Sagara Bandara!
Together we were now like 3 siblings having a great time in Sri Lanka! He was very welcoming, an excellent driver, looked after us with care, surprised us regularly with stops for fruits and snacks, let us know all along the way that he was there for anything we needed. He seemed to know everyone and was that friendly and frequently was in touch with the company as well as passing the phone calls when Mr. Deminda Fernando checked in on us which was a very nice touch. Blue lanka is a seriours tour agency that i am pleased to recommend. You get what they promised and more. The best of our tour, together with the cultural sightseeing of the amazing ancient Sri Lankan civiliation, was our driver-guide Hirosh. Although still young, he is an excellent professional, very carefull and sensitive to any need or request we had.

We had a great tour in Sri Lanka organised by Blue Lanka Tours . The manager Deminda Fernando was very helpful with the tour planning.
We had a fantastic guide Indika Abeysekara that was on the road with us for 12 days. Our tour included 4 safaris for wild animals that we greatly enjoyed. The rest was divided between historical sites and the beach in Bentota. During the tour our guide Indika Abeysekara proved to be an excellent driver which is an important quality because of the heavy traffic.

My husband and I used this company for our tailor made tour of Sri Lanka, in January 2019, with our own personal driver Aruna. We had a wonderful time, with absolutely nothing to find fault with.
