We had an absolutely wonderful tour of Sri Lanka that was truly beyond our expectations. Our guide Namal was extremely knowledgeable about the country, its history, culture, and day-to-day life, and he explained everything in great detail, which really enriched our experience. On top of that, he was a very nice person and a pleasure to be with throughout the trip. The tour operator Sakunthala was also incredibly helpful and professional in organising our comprehensive tour of the country, making everything run smoothly from start to finish. My wife and I enjoyed every moment of this journey, and it was an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Mr. Prakash Keerthi has been incredibly professional, very friendly, and always accommodating through our stops from Colombo to Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, and Tangalle. Ms. Sakunthala at Blue Lanka Tours has handled coordination seamlessly, ensuring smooth transfers and bookings. Their warmth has put our active kids at ease right from airport pickup on Dec 23rd, and Prakash has grown very warm and close to the kids – they always ask about him!

Thoughtfully Sectioned Itinerary
The tour is thoughtfully sectioned with a great mix of hikes like Little Adam’s Peak, village tours in Hiriwadunna, safaris in Yala, and beach time in Tangalle – ideal for our energetic children who love walks over long drives. Pacing for visits like Sigiriya Rock, Dambulla Caves, and Ella’s Nine Arch Bridge keeps everyone engaged without exhaustion. It’s not always easy traveling with young kids, but they’ve made it seem effortless.

Flexible and Responsive
They take our feedback easily and adapt on the spot – providing more opportunities for the kids to play and have fun on the road instead of short hikes, like extra time at parks such as Gregory Lake. We also asked for picks of authentic places for meal suggestions, and that was well addressed as we like spicy food and avoid tourist crowds – Prakash has guided us to hidden gems with flavorful local dishes. Even with train rides and weather changes, adjustments have been quick and family-focused.

We booked a 9 day private tour with Blue Lanka in Dec25 through the centre, hills and south coast of Sri Lanka, and it was the most amazing experience from start to finish. We chose Blue Lanka based on a friend’s recommendation and we are so glad we did, the experience end to end was fantastic with them.

Niwarthana helped us book the tour, she was incredible in helping us get everything organised perfectly in such a short space of time and made sure the tour was perfect for our family. She was in contact throughout the trip and even organised a train journey which we thought may not be possible which was a true highlight.
Our tour guide Sandamal was absolutely ten out of ten, and amazing from the moment we met him. He was so professional, with a big smile always, and so knowledgable about the country, its history, animals, religion and fauna, we were learning new things from him throughout our trip. Both Sandamal and our driver could not have done more for us throughout our 9 day tour, they made everything so easy and run so smoothly which just left us to enjoy Sri Lanka and the experience. We shared many laughs with them and felt like we were travelling with friends. They were brilliant, we had a fantastic 9 days with them.

My friends and I completed a 10 day holiday in Srilanka with Blue Lanka tours which had been highly recommended to us . The company fully lived up to expectations. An impeccably organised and masterfully delivered 16 day tour The organising team put together an itinerary which took us to Lions Rock, Kandy , The World's End, Lipton Seat, Little Adams Peak, Yala NP, Galle and Colombo, staying in stunning hotels and locations. Giving us chance to enjoy Sri Lankan cuisine along the way, including two cooking classes, one where we the picked organic vegetables and fruits , the second where we chose freshly caught seafood from the market which we then were guided to cook and eat. The tour was seamless delivered despite the challenges created by Ditwah, with scenic drives, great wildlife and bird sightings. Including 2 leopards.

We had a fantastic 16-day, tailor made tour with Blue Lanka in August 2025. The itinerary was carefully planned out by Reshani to meet our requirements and covered all of the main highlights, plus some relaxation time at the end. The accommodation was excellent - we stayed in a mixture of beautiful boutique hotels where we felt like part of the family and where we enjoyed some delicious, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as luxurious safari lodges and a superb 5-star beachfront resort. We really got to experience the very best of Sri Lanka from the lush greenery of the highlands, to the amazing wildlife in the safari parks, the fascinating historical sights and the pristine Indian Ocean beaches. It was a magical trip which we will remember for a lifetime. Blue Lanka offers a genuinely personalised experience where the client's requirements and interests are prioritised and tourist traps are avoided. We used Blue Lanka for our tour of Sri Lanka in August 2025 and they were fabulous!
We spent 10 nights in Sri Lanka, on a multi-site, multi-hotel, multi-experience adventure with the team from Blue Lanka and they couldn't have looked after us better!

Buddhi in the office planned the trip with us, listened to what we wanted and adjusted our itinerary accordingly. The hotels that we stayed in were fantastic and all in stunning locations. We had a problem with one room and Buddhi was quick to sort this out with the hotel and even managed to get us an upgrade, thank you! Buddhi regularly checked in with me throughout the tour, just to check everything was okay and we were having a good time, which was a nice touch!

The tour itself was conducted by our guide Terrance, his knowledge and expertise about everything we saw and did across Sri Lanka was exceptional. From discussions about the various religions across Sri Lanka, to information on all the different wildlife that we saw and everything else in between. Terrance was always on hand for questions or ready to find a spot for a 'washroom break'! His network of contacts across Sir Lanka was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. Terrance even arranged for us to watch a local cricket tournament and I was asked to present the trophies, a real highlight and honour! We really enjoyed our walking tours of Kandy and Galle, Terrance really knows his stuff!

We also had a driver, Pramod, who we referred to as 'Mali'...brother. His driving expertise was fantastic, under some really challenging roads and driving conditions. Our transport was always immaculate, regularly cleaned inside and out and re-stocked with fresh bottled water for us daily! The air conditioning was lovely and cool and we even had charging leads in the back for our phones!

All in all this trip was amazing and there are just too many highlights to mention them all. We saw and did so much in our 11 days in Sri Lanka, from Temples, City Tours, Safaris, Cricket, Abseiling, Zip-Lining, speaking with local people, getting involved in local culture, great food, great drinks, great wildlife, I could go on and on! We want to return to Sri Lanka one day and we will certainly use Blue Lanka Tours again if we do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team at Blue Lanka Tours and thank you so much to Terrance, Buddhi and Pramod for an amazing holiday and experience.

From the minute we met our guide Hannan, and driver Sasmika at the airport, we knew we were in good hands.

Hannan, our guide, was so knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful. He was amazing, tweaking the schedule when necessary and always being there for us. It was lovely that he took group photos and sent them to us at the end of each day. Sasmika, our driver, would always greet us with a big smile, and his driving skills were first class. Having a guide and driver made the 2 weeks very relaxing.

The tailor-made itinerary worked really well, we enjoyed all the excursions, which were thoughtfully planned. We travelled down to Galle and then up through Yala, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Sigiriya, Pasikuda, and Columbo. All the hotels were perfect, the rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfast buffets were impressive. I had been a bit worried that moving on most nights would be too tiring, but this was not the case, and the longer stay at the beach let us chill out a bit more at the end of the trip.

We had the best time, and we will really cherish our memories.

What made our experience a great one was the company's knowledge of their country, climate and customs. Mrs. Reshani gave us a tour with all our requirements but including visits to local places thus helping the most disadvantaged people in their country, and excluding others who may prey on animals.
Once there, our guide and driver Shan accompanied us and gave us all the information to be able to enjoy the places with knowledge and respect for them. The whole experience was perfect, the hotels, the restaurants, and the memory we take with us is to repeat and recommend it for sure!
