The lads were on time and polite

The lads were on time and polite, answering all my questions.
They did a good job in accessing difficult parts of the house via the neighbor back-yard, they were also tidy, washing off the excess debris.

Brilliant service lads turned up at 8am…

Brilliant service lads turned up at 8am as planned on a cold morning -4 degrees. Just got on with the job had an issue with their generator but went and got it replaced. Cleaned up after themselves done by just after 12noon. House feels warmer already Excellent job thank you.

Can't recomend this company and the team enough after a few hiccups a couple were down to me,they sorted it a special thanks to the quality engineers MILES and STEVE who did a great job fitting my boiler as well as sorting out a few other issues nothing was too much trouble vin

If there was 0 stars it would be that .Had ashp,solar panels,wall cavity,and loft insulation done 30th of July.. I got handed 3 manuals saying thats it done no need to do anything .yeah right. No handover as what was meant to happen ive had nothing but faults since everything was done Firstly leaks from radiators which were resolved by borthwicks . But then the leaks turns into water coming through my light fittings.I rang them up to report it and was told by some1 that theyd send some1 out that day .I waited the 3 days without heating or hot water before it got fixed . Then the pressure kept dropping on my boiler i rang again for some1 to tell me over the phone what to do . Came off the phone to them and began to check my radiators to make sure no leaks .my bedroom carpet,underlay and floorboards were absolutely wet through so i called them back. Plumber came and said my radiator was cracked and i would need to buy a new 1 which i point blank refused as it wasnt leaking before the installment they rectified that . Twice ive had leaks affect my light fittings,muliple leaks,heating and hot water not working. Considering the installment was done in July and after multiple emails back and forward ive only received my documents on Dec 19th .Theres still documents missing like commissioning code for my warranty to be valid also the handover book which they said they left with me which they havent.So now i have emailed them today to request copies to be emailed.I can honestly say its been the most stressful 6months and i wish i didnt get any of it put in. Seems to me its a rush job to get it done and dusted but once theyve been paid for it they dont want to know and couldnt care less. Because ive had to call them out 6 times they are refusing to come out unless i pay callout charge. But if the job was done correctly i wouldnt of needed to get them out.If any1 is thinking of getting Borthwicks i would seriously look at other installers

Awful HSAP installation - be very wary

Installed hybrid Alpha H/S air pump and combination boiler, insulated loft and installed HVAC system.

Awful installation.

1. Roof liner under roof tiles has been ripped, not cut, 2/3 big chunks ripped out and left hanging in the loft.

2. 9mm insulation used on pipework externally and into the loft. This does not meet the manufacturers requirements nor should it be used, it’s not too standard.

3. Multiple areas of 28mm primary pipework visible both internally and externally. Very bad.

4. HSAP is not flat, no base has been built, just put in place unbalanced and installed at an irregular angle.

5. No paperwork has been completed properly if completed at all.

6. First frost - the air pump is flooding internally, no heating or hot water. Called Alpha direct who advised me the HSAP has not been commissioned properly and a component has now faulted as a result, Alpha engineer follow up visit has been arranged.

7. Aesthetically very poor work externally and internally. Cable ties wrapped around insulation at random distances, not cut back, pipework on show all over the primaries. Pipework not clipped in loft and left suspended in place. Just poor and lazy work.

8. As above, first frost 3/1/25, boiler pressure dropped to zero, attempted to re-pressurise, water was pouring out of the HSAP, no heating or hot water and 1 degree outside, house freezing. Got a phone number for Borthwick from Alpha (07793 224***). Called the number and the person I spoke too was awful, got told to f*** off he’s on holiday until Monday and I shouldn’t be calling him, I tried making him aware my mum is disabled and vulnerable, didn’t care at all, phone put down. Called back, same response, told me to ‘fix my own mums boiler’ phone put down. Number blocked. Called off a different number, same response, f*** off and number blocked. Witnessed by two people. Absolutely disgusting and not good enough at all.

9. No system flush was undertaken, a mandatory requirement when converting from an existing system to a HSAP.

10. No out of hours helpline.

In summary, an awful install, very poor workmanship and unbelievably bad customer service. I would strongly advise against using the Borthwick group for your needs. Be very careful.

A couple of days between my initial enquiry and the survey being completed, they called with the results the next day and a week later my cavity wall insulation was being replaced.
Courteous and professional staff cleaned up after themselves too.

Excellent Cavity Wall Insulation Job Complete

Great bunch of guys turned up to extract/install new cavity wall insulation on my property. The lads were very polite, very professional, very respectful of my property when needing to be in/out and did an excellent job of the install and post job clean up, couldn't of asked for better.

Highly recommend without hesitation

I can’t recommend this company highly enough. The teams arrived on time and completed the work within a day. They were respectful of my property and left no mess. All aspects of work were explained and nothing was too much trouble. The tradesmen were friendly, efficient and professional at all times. 5 star!
