We love Boundless Life x2!
We've had great experiences in Bali and Spain the last two Decembers. They were great opportunities to explore other parts of the world with structure for our solo kid as well as great community and inside tracks to local adventures thanks to knowledgeable staff. We hope to return for at least a 3 month cohort in the future!
I think this company has pros and cons depending on what your family's needs and wants are. We loved the school and teachers. They always had something new and fun to do like baking cakes or going to local markets to shop for fruit and vegetables. The organization for events was lacking. I was definitely expecting more and a bit of a wow factor that we were initially sold . The activities set up for adults weren't as exciting or interesting. I also feel communication could have been better. The staff at the location were super nice and helpful they were just understaffed so it wasnt entirely their fault for these things. In my opinion the administration needs to fix problems that everyone shares at current locations instead of trying to keep opening new ones. Bigger isn't always better. I would recommend trying boundless life to see if its a good fit for you. We're giving it another shoot soon in a different location.

The locales are amazing, cost friendly, very safe, and with rich culture and history. But the real magic is the boundless team. From the welcome experience, to the school, to the activities—it’s all first rate.
We did 6 months with boundless with two kids. Unfortunately our experience with the company was overall very negative.
We love the concept and idea of it but unfortunately they are overselling themselves.
You pay everything up front and when problems arise, they are just not handled.
People were mostly unhappy with the school and with the housing. Several kids refused to attend school because of multiple reasons but of course stil had to pay for it. No hot water for 3 months, mold, not kid friendly homes often super tiny rooms. You pay more and get less with no refund if severe problems arise.
You can't trust the sales team if you for example want to know how many families have signed up, how big the class or cohort is or how many spots are left. They make up lies as they go.
They have many housing issues like excessive mold, lack of running hot water and generally not being kids friendly.
There is a huge staff turnover in all locations mostly due to the bad work conditions. Very bad pay, lack of holidays and off days and generally they always have to take the blame for what corporate or the sales team messes up. For this asking price I don't want to worry about running hot water or staff getting enough salary.
There are plenty of alternatives most of which just don't work with as many influencers so it takes some more research.
Don’t be fooled by the influencers. They are compensated.
Also when signing up, everyone agrees not to share anything negative online, which is why you barely find critical reviews.
The adult service fee is not worth it. Those included activities constantly get canceled without replacement and you also have to pay on top. Im both programs most people worked from home because of bad wifi, the temperature in the coworking space or the noise level.
Take into account that you pay for 3 months but schooling is more like 2 months (school holidays, off days and transition week(s)) and the accomodations are for 2.5 months.
To end on a good note: We met many like minded people that brought us more into full time travelling with kids. We still consider many of them close friends. We wouldn't have grown these friendships without signing up to boundless.

Our Boundless Syros experience was great because of the local team and the community built around the location. The beach meetups and the town square were such special spots for the kids – they loved knowing they’d run into other Boundless families every day. The team was always responsive and kind, and that’s a big part of why we’re heading back in September 2026.
Boundless has been a wonderful experience for me and my family. The school and experiences were great. We are concerned that the price of the accommodations has gotten really expensive over the years and wish there were solutions for families that want to book their own accommodations but besides that, we were very happy.

It was great to have an instant community and meet so many people in a beautiful setting. The events were fun and the people wonderful. My kids loved it as well. Worth it!
Our entire cohort in Sintra was mislead by what was offered in this program. Apartments had leaks, mold and didn’t have proper bedding. Programs that were promised never happened. Management was contacted numerous times by multiple people and took no accountability - it wasn’t until our cohort threatened legal action that we received refunds for things that had been paid for that we didn’t receive. Nothing else was done to try and make up for the experience we had.

Boundless life covers all the bases so that you don’t have to. We joined their Italy cohort last year, the onboarding & pre trip preparation was excellent very organized and we knew what to expect when arriving in Tuscany. The accommodation provided was comfortable, the education was great our children loved going to the school each day. The community activities & hub were all very good. Some improvements could have been made for the extracurriculars and weekend excursions but those are all optional add ons. The core offering of boundless life is well done.!
We did 2 sets of 3 month cohorts - Sintra 2024, Tuscany 2025 and had a wonderful time in both. We have 2 boys (5 & 2 now) who really blossomed during their time in Sintra and Tuscany.
Pros:
1. Community is amazing - despite the diverse group of people and backgrounds, it is surprisingly easy to build up a tight-knit community within 3 months - many of whom we stay in touch with post-Boundless.
2. Teachers for our kids (5 & 2 - so in the younger year groups) were amazing and our kids enjoyed spending regular time outdoors and learning about the culture of the different places we went to as well as friends from all over the world. I would caveat to say that we didn't focus so much on the academic portion (e.g. reading/writing/math) but focused more on what the kids couldn't get in a typical school (lots of field trips, time in nature, etc.) - so we were satisfied on this front. For parents that expect a rigorous academic course - that might not be the case.
3. Boundless team - occasionally short-staffed and stretched (especially in Sintra), but always willing to give their best efforts; which is much appreciated.
Con:
We've noticed prices increasing (at least EUR 3,000) for accommodation alone, and services or activities which used to be offered as part of the fee are increasingly reduced or less frequent (e.g. children's fieldtrips, movie / sleepover nights) or being charged as a separate service (activities for parents / families). Cost of activities are also at least 30-50% more expensive if you book via Boundless vs. local options. The seasonal pricing also plays a part in increasing prices, especially for spring/summer/fall cohorts.
Whilst we understand that Boundless is a business; it will soon get to the point where price exceeds the benefit; and many families who are multiple returnees may no longer do so as the increasing price premiums no longer justify the benefits (which are also being reduced).

We’ve done two cohorts and they were nothing short of life changing - helping our family re-align priorities and reset as a family while making new friends and experiencing life together abroad. I highly recommend for adventurous families looking to open their perspectives
The community makes Boundless irreplaceable. The format of the Education Center sets Boundless apart from other worldschooling companies and the option to have the children in a safe alternative project-based learning environment while parents build a community is the fertile soil in which Boundless magic grows. The friendships I have built within the Boundless community are as close or closer than family and that gift I can never repay. Some issues that I look forward to Boundless improving include fully staffing each cohort. The practice of stealing staff from one cohort to help another and therefore leaving one or both understaffed is putting the community at a disadvantage. Members calling each other because they are lost while trying to get to an activity as the staff member that organized the outing was pulled away is not a wise expenditure of money. Another important addition to this outstanding program is an implementation of an educator training program. Educators are from all over the world and different cultures deserve exposure and translation of the cultures of the students prior to being entrusted with the care of children. I look forward to a curriculum that is more based in a backward design with scaffolding and appropriate evaluation techniques to ensure children are grasping the delivery of the material being presented. The partnership with Crimson Global Academy is an excellent choice. Boundless is an incredible idea and these cohorts in Italy, Greece, Spain and a brief visit to Uruguay have changed my family and me for the better. The deep love for this community is unending and preserving the magic is profoundly important to me and my children. It has become a fabric woven into the emotional matrix of our lives. I want to continue to preserve the magic yet push Boundless to grow because i believe it the magic. The Boundless Life gem is a bit rough but priceless.
Boundless Life in Kotor changed our lives in ways we never expected. What began as a worldschooling experiment quickly became the catalyst for a complete lifestyle transformation. We loved our experience so much that we decided to sell everything we own to travel full time with our kids, ages 9 and 5. Our goal is to eventually join Boundless Life full time and continue giving them this type of connected, meaningful learning experience.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt intentional and welcoming. Our apartment was thoughtfully prepared, the Boundless team made settling in effortless, and the environment immediately felt like home. The education centre was exceptional. Both our kids woke up excited for school every day and shocked us when they asked to please go to school on the weekends too. Watching their enthusiasm, knowledge, and confidence grow was priceless!
The location itself is stunning. The Bay of Kotor, the Old Town, and the surrounding mountains create a setting that is both inspiring and peaceful. But what truly sets this experience apart is the community. Our kids formed deep friendships, and so did we! Within days, we were surrounded by like-minded families, spontaneous adventures, shared meals, and a sense of belonging that we had been searching for.
Boundless gave our family connection, purpose, and a new definition of home. Initially, we thought it was a worldschooling program where parents could work remotely while the kids attended a safe school, with the opportunity to explore the area. But it's so much more than that! It's a community! You definitely get out of it what you put into it, so it's worth being a "yes" family and participating in the activities and events while spending time with other families. The Boundless community stays with you long after you leave. We cannot wait to reconnect with the lifelong friends we've made and join another cohort in early 2026.
If you are considering a worldschooling experience, Boundless Life in Kotor is unforgettable and absolutely worth it. It helped us envision an entirely new way of living, and we hope to make it our full-time reality.
My family is finishing our first Boundless cohort in Syros now. It’s been an incredible three months! Boundless picks the best locations, brings together people who are looking to make the most of travel, and creates a supportive community rooted in a unique school experience. We’ve really enjoyed the community experiences. Our 10 year-old is the happiest she has ever been in school. Boundless provides the perfect amount of support to make travel like this enjoyable, and relatively easy.
Best family experience abroad we ever had!
The combination of a great location, open hearted families from around the world and a stable foundation (apartment, school, co-working) makes boundless a truly unique experience.
We already concluded 2 cohorts and can’t wait for the next one to follow soon!
Highly recommended for families that “want to get out and see the world” while having the safety and stability of a strong group of friends.

Boundless is a life-changing experience. We found a community of like-minded families and exposed our kids to unique international exposure. We made incredible friendships and had some of the most enriching travel adventures of our lives.
The community is the best part of Boundless - and I'm deeply grateful for how Boundless helps facilitate and enhance the community experience with opportunities for endless adventures and group. The weakest point of the program, from my perspective, is the education. It simply doesn't compare to the level of education our boys were receiving in the States. While some of the teachers are truly wonderful (shout out to Ayesha in Estepona!), the staff turnover, class turnover (nature of 3 mo cohorts), and most of all, the lack of structure (and hence lack of output) when it comes to the learning program, has meant that our kids really have not advanced along core competency lines over the past 9 months. Where they are in math, english, and science is little changed from where they were Jan 2025. That said, I do love the cultural learning, focus on student-led projects, group presentations, and the mixed-age group learning - I think all of these aspects of Boundless education help our children become more confident, thoughtful, and empathetic...but our boys will be quite a ways behind when they return to school in the States on core competencies.

Subject: Decision Regarding Participation in the Boundless Program
Dear Boundless Team,
I wanted to reach out to let you know that after careful consideration, I have decided not to move forward with joining your program.
While I appreciate the enthusiasm and vision you share in your info sessions, I have since come across multiple firsthand accounts and reviews that paint a very different picture of the Boundless experience. From what I could gather, many participants felt discouraged from speaking openly due to strict NDAs, and that lack of transparency is concerning. I believe prospective families and educators deserve to know about this up front during the information sessions, rather than piecing it together from external sources afterward.
As a Montessori trained teacher, I was also disappointed to learn that the educational approach being described does not align with authentic Montessori or child centered pedagogy. It is simply not possible to deliver a meaningful Montessori experience in three month cohorts, and without proper training and consistency, Montessori materials are reduced to being just wooden toys. The model being described sounds far closer to temporary childcare than true developmental education.
Boundless markets its program as “Finnish inspired,” but it is not close to anything Finnish. From a pedagogical and child development perspective, the three month cohort model does not allow for meaningful educational progress. It is essentially babysitting with iPads.
I was further troubled by reports of underpaid staff, high turnover, and an overreliance on screens as a primary learning tool. The “Finnish inspired” label feels misleading when the practices being shared do not reflect Finnish principles of play, trust, or teacher autonomy.
It is also important to note that the Education Centers are reportedly unregulated. There are no fire exits, extinguishers, or alarms. Life saving medications such as EpiPens are not kept with the child during outings, nor are they readily accessible. In addition, no background checks are performed on teachers or support staff, even though some stay overnight with the children.
There are also serious concerns about Boundless housing practices. The company reportedly operates in areas where local housing is relatively inexpensive, rents those properties, and then marks them up significantly, sometimes by tenfold, for clients. This not only inflates local rental prices but also reduces housing access for local residents. Many of the apartments have been reported to have mold, leaks, and unreliable Wi Fi.
It is equally troubling to learn that Rekha Magon, the Head of Education, has no formal background or qualifications in education. CEO Mauro Repacci has even stated openly that his goal is to scale and sell the business for profit. These statements suggest that quality and integrity are not the company’s true priorities.
The concept of Boundless, community, global connection, and learning beyond borders, is a beautiful one. But integrity, safety, and child well being must come first. Based on what I have learned, I no longer feel confident that those values are being upheld.
I hope you will take this feedback constructively and consider being more transparent about your educational model and operational policies, including disclosing the NDA requirement in your information sessions.
