Boylin Group container storage - peace of mind and a great service
Boylin Group Massarellas Yard, Wakefield, WF1 5BU have provided me with two containers to rent and I’m pleased to say I’ve been there since July 2021. They were brand new containers and have been perfect for storing my classic car parts over the past 4 years. The access is incredibly easy and I’ve had Luton box vans bringing my parts with a lift on the back which fits perfectly between the container doors. There is also a security guy who I’ve seen many times and chatted to - his presence and regular checks gives me confidence my car bits are in safe hands. Also, the office staff have been brilliant notifying their customers with updates and information, such as Xmas opening times. I’ve spoken to several on the phone and they have always been helpful. In summary, I’m impressed with Boylin’s very professional approach to their clients and their very fair pricing structure. Anyone wanting to rent a container can rest assured that their experience will be excellent and they will feel like a very valued client.

As good a container site as any and at a fair price.
I've been with Boylins for about 18 months, only one price rise in that time of about 3% so can't complain. The gate did fail to open one morning but it was fixed quickly.

Excellent storage company
We currently have 3 containers with Boylin Group (1 for personal use and 2 for business use) at their Sheffild site and they are a dream to deal with. I usually speak with brooke and Jasmine when I call, they are really professional and helpful. The company keep you updated with anything that is happening with the site and the security is excellent. I can't recommend this company enough

Overall a frustrating experience. I have been with Boylins at this site for around 2 years. Throughout my tenure at the site the automatic gate worked intermittently and sometimes stuck open or closed. You originally gained access through an automated access telephone number which you made a call to. After a few months the gate had failed so many times it ended up being left open constantly in daytime trading hours. One evening last winter I was then locked in the yard with an hour to go before closing as a result of an adjustment to gate closing times because of the sunset. This meant the gate closed and locked me in at around 5pm, when the site was open until around 6pm. I had a 40 minute argument with a remote CCTV monitoring company who refused to let me out unless I provided them with a ‘password’. This was something that had obviously never been provided to me so I was locked in for just short of an hour. The offices at Boylin closed at 5pm so could offer no assistance. Only upon threatening to drive through the gate or call the Police were things sorted, where I then had to wait for an on call staff member to come down and unlock the gate for me. On arrival it became clear that the remote CCTV monitoring company in Bury were unable to understand basic English and thought I was trying to gain access as opposed to trying to leave the site! As a result I missed an antenatal class with my partner and got £100 credit applied to my account and half an apology from one of the directors… Great stuff!
The final straw came a few months ago where two containers in the same row as mine had large squares cut in them from an adjacent industrial site behind. I presume this was in an attempt to see what was inside them to attempt a break in at a later point. I was only made aware of this by another customer who told me as he knew Boylins were withholding the information to customers! He and the other customer were leaving as a result. I stored motorcycles and equipment so quickly made the decision to leave!!!
Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is because they gave me a bit of money back when I was locked in… However for £142 a month I would have thought simply a free month would have been far more reasonable!

We're sorry to hear aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations, be assured we are always working to improve our services where possible, however we would like to provide some clarification for context surrounding your comments.
The electric entrance gate to our Wakefield site is fully operational, functioning in line with our access policies. In the rare event of any issues, we make it our priority to resolve them swiftly and with every effort made to avoid inconvenience to our customers.
In relation to the incident where you were unable to exit the site, we took your concerns seriously and carried out a thorough internal investigation. In your initial email, you acknowledged that the issue was not caused by us, nor was it a reflection of our company or the service we provide. Following several detailed emails, you thanked us for the in-depth explanation and the time taken to investigate the matter. There was no indication at the time that you was either upset or remained dissatisfied. After reviewing the situation, and to acknowledge the inconvenience caused, we issued a £100.00 credit and addressed the matter directly with our third-party security provider.
With regards to the security incident mentioned, we’d like to clarify that no information was withheld. Affected customers were informed, kept updated, and repairs were carried out accordingly. As the main site was thoroughly investigated, remained secure, and no other containers were at risk, we made a considered decision not to cause unnecessary worry for unaffected customers. However, your comments suggest it may have been advisable to inform all customers, and we will take that on board. Naturally, our focus has been on completing repairs and planning for additional CCTV coverage in the affected area, a significant upgrade that has been in progress since the incident.
We always aim to act professionally, responsibly and transparently, and we want you to know that we truly appreciate all custom and value your feedback as it helps us learn and improve. We wish you all the best in the future!

Superb service and friendly, helpful staff
I have been a tenant of The Boylin Group for over 12 years and in all that time I've had impeccable service. All the staff from the office staff to the guys who come around and do a great job maintaining the surrounding area and making the area look nice have always been very friendly and helpful.
I recommend them very highly and expect to be a tenant of theirs for many more years to come.

This is the second time i have used Boylins at the Bradford site. Excellent service both times, with the storage container being watertight and clean. I would definitely recommend this site for storage solutions.

Outstanding service through out... This has been my second rental from…
This has been my second rental from Boylins selfstore, and I couldn't have asked for a better service. They cater for all storage needs.
Prices are reasonable considering the amount of security that's in place. Prices only rise in line with the budget. I've watched Boylins expand at a fast pace. And although my adventure as come to a end, no doubt I'll be back again when my next one begins.
Office staff are very experienced and always go that extra mile.

Faultless experience …
Brand new container at the Wakefield Road site.
When I contacted the office always got a great service. Had to use the extended hours no problem sorting this out and when calling the out of hours number all worked as should all in all did what I needed no issues at all.

Had to get storage asap and a friend recommended Boylin group on Wakefield rd Barnsley,all went straight forward but would recommend upgrading there requirements schedule has I’d thought passport and driving license has proof of ID would be more than adequate,but sorted it out smoothly,easy access to storage and times to suit,
