THIS IS A MOST FRAUDULENT COMPANY, THEY POSED ON MY BEHALF WITH THE HMRC, INFILTRATED MY PERSONAL TAX RECORDS, HAD HMRC SEND THEN MY PERSONAL TAX ALLOWANCE THAT WAS DUE, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. THIS COMPANY HAVE LIED REPEATEDLY THAT THEY HAD RETURNED THE CHEQUE TO THE HMRC, BUT TO DATE AFTER TWO YEARS OF BATTLING FOR THE RETURN OF THE FUNDS - HMRC HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING, AND ARE NOW PURSUING ME FOR THE FUNDS THAT THEY PAID BROOKSDALE, FROM MY OWN PERSONAL TAX - OUTRAGEOUS - EVERYONE BE VERY WARY OF ENGAGING ON ANY LEVEL WITH BROOKSDALE LTD

Absolute disgrace of a company.
Does your tax returns then keeps it.
Doesn't answer phones, emails etc

I cannot believe that this charlatan company is still trading. They do not answer telephones, they do not respond to emails and they do not acknowledge requests to remove them from MY tax account as an agent. Their posted telephone number 0161 543 1973 is not recognised and they have used a copied and pasted digital signature I used for a PPI claim at no time giving them a permanent right to handle my tax affairs. All of my tax refund cheques have been forwarded by HMRC to them and that is the last I hear of then. I should also note that their posted 5 star ratings end in 2023 and their 1 star ratings are all they have received in 2024. I really do not believe that those people who have posted high satisfaction rating are real. I have been trying to contact them for ever without any joy. Many others, if you search the company, have had the same experience ... deplorable

On the 14th Of November i recieved an email saying they had received payment for a tax rebate for myself...

The link they sent along with it did not work... nobody was there to help me and i am still waiting for this payment wow......

Should have received my money over a year ago for HMRC refund. Cheque was sent to Brooksdale June 2023 from HMRC and over a year later (Aug 24), I've still not received my money and contact numbers for Brooksdale do not work. I have emailed ans had no responses!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - SCAM!!!

I have been trying to get the correct number to speak to this company as they still have my tax rebate cheque that I still have not received!!!

Brooksdale Ltd. is a SCAM!

Trust me, they are anything but "legal"! 😶

I too would give no stars if possible.
We did not instruct Brooksdale but they requested a tax refund from HMRC in the wrong name. Apparently returned it and received the correct one. We only knew anything about this as HMRC advised they had sent a cheque to Brooksdale. After months of hassle we eventually received our ‘share’. Earlier this year we got a demand from HMRC for the return of the refund, I immediately sent off a cheque for the amount we received and advised Brooksdale to pay the amount they had kept as they had obviously made a big error. They completely ignored this and we ended up with a debt collector chasing us. So we paid up. I have contacted Brooksdale for recompense but you won’t be surprised to hear they have been silent.
Now to add insult to injury they are bombarding us with letters say they can get refunds on car finance. I am about to report them to the ombudsman.

After I blocked them via phone and email due to the constant pestering, the Scumbags sold my information to tax magpie, who are now calling multiple times from different numbers .....

If I could give no stars I would. We have written 4 times regarding a tax refund that was sent to Brookdale from HMRC. He has never received anything from Brookdale with regards to the refund or out letters. Further more he never instructed Brookdale to look after his tax affairs. Total scam.

Just pointing out to anyone reading the reviews. Have you noticed how Brookdale respond to the 5 star reviews but totally ignore the ones where people like myself leave negatives. This is most probably because the 5 star reviews are not genuine.

Please check out their reviews on Google they have shed loads of negative reviews for many many different reasons

Do not pay any monies to clients. Believe all of the reviews..HMRC will eventually need to answer to working with crooks...

Terrible company sent e-mail saying they had a tax rebate over 2 years ago , still waiting for it , every e-mail i send fails as undelivered , cannot get through on the phone , charletons.

Brooksdale have had my Tax Refund money for ages now. I've sent numerous emails and no reply. HMRC sent a letter advising they have sent the money to them. Yesterday or today I received an email requesting I submit the details of car finance to claim money back. Now I find out they are in liquidation. I guess my money is totally lost.

I have been waiting a year for my refund . Still haven't got it

Company now in liquidation with Fortis due to fraud and theft. Still owe me my tax money from over a year ago. Confirmed with HMRC that the cheque was cashed in its entirety.

Waiting still for a tax refund that was started in July 2023.Shoddy service I've emailed numerous times just reply we have only just started looking at tax returns in July and that was February 2024.Emailed last week for an update still no reply .Absolutely shocking not very professional at all.

I’m still waiting for my refund. Brooksdale seems to be avoiding me. They never reply to me. They still have my money and it’s legal for them to hold your hard working money. HMRC should really stop this completely. Despite previous complaints HMRC still allowing this happen until today.

Continued to recieve a significant amout of emails from Brooksdale re diesel car, PPI claims etc. I was stupid enough to engauge this company on a ppi intrest refund. I never recieved it although payment was sent to them by HMRC. Contacting Brooksdale is impossible by phone or email.This company needs and should be investigated. Do not use this company. BE WARNED.
