When it comes to fresh fish, Browne Trading has the best. Given that Browne pays a premium to top fishermen and distributors, we ensure our Michelin chefs and home gourmands alike receive the freshest fish, shellfish, and ethically sourced seafood. We source local Maine favorites like uni, bluefin tuna, oysters, and fresh lobster meat. From afar, we carry coveted carabinero prawns, wild Portuguese specialties, and sustainably farmed Veta la Palma fish.
Browne Trading proudly crafts small-batch smoked seafood at our Portland location. Our boutique smoke house cures, brines, smokes, slices, and packages our smoked salmon, scallops, sturgeon, and more using a cold smoke method.
When it comes to caviar, Browne Trading is the only company in the US that co-brands with caviar partner farms. We work closely with sturgeon farms in Belgium, Italy, Israel, China, and the U.S.A. to ensure transparent sourcing and the highest quality.

My wife and I passed through Portland and tried all the caviar. This was the best out there! The people were so nice too. Grateful for the overnight shipping and can't wait until my order arrives for the holidays.

Reliable
I was very disappointed that I can no longer buy a Scargo from Whole Foods. When I went to Brown trading, I was a little worried, but they rely they arrived exactly when they said they would, and were exactly as described.

The domestic Marshallsberg caviar was just awful. I am shocked Browne would sell caviar that was of such poor quality.

We ran out of the stock that your tin came from and just got new kilos in from Marshallberg. All future marshallberg orders will be using the new kilos.
I added a free, new 4.4 of marshallberg to your order for this week and added a free Kaluga Malossol.

Beautiful whole turbot
Beautiful whole turbot arrived perfectly packed and frozen. Roasted whole it tasted as if I were back in Bilbao at an asador.

Browne Trading Company is just excellent.
Browne Trading offers excellent seafood. Even the packing is excellent. They are one of the few sites that offer sea urchin and at a reasonable price.
Two weeks after my first order I'm back for a caviar only order.

So delicious!
Shipping was quick, and the caviar was delicious. We had the Osietra Supreme and the Kaluga Malosso. The Osietra was slightly briny, and very creamy, with a slightly firm give. Delicious! The Kaluga had more of a briny flavor, which I love. Firm eggs, creamy texture. We finished both. We'll order from Browne again.

Order in full confidence - Brown Trading Co knows fish and how to ship it! I love Browne Trading Co and I won't order fresh or frozen from anyone else. Items that are frozen arrive frozen, those that are fresh arrive with plenty of dry ice as well to insure the freshest possible fish/shellfish.
