Nach einer ungünstig verlaufenen Anmietung eines Wagens warte ich vergebens seit Wochen auf eine Rückmeldung des Beschwerdeteams. Auch nach mehrfacher Kontaktaufnahme kommt lediglich eine automatisierte Antwortmail. Schade.

Der Kundenservice war leider sehr unfreundlich, sodass ich überhaupt keine Lust hatte, hier etwas zu mieten.

Ich würde 0 Sterne geben, wenn das ginge. Knebelverträge und ganz schlechter Service!!!! Wir hatten Mietwagen gebucht, online eingecheckt und auch die Kreditkarte bereits online registriert. Leider ist uns die Karte am Flughafen kaputt gegangen. Den Mietwagen haben wir dann trotz vollständiger vorheriger Bezahlung nicht bekommen, da die Kreditkarte defekt war und die digitale nicht akzeptiert wurde. Auch eine andere Kreditkarte (auf den Namen meiner Frau) wurde als Sicherheit nicht akzeptiert. Die Karte musste auf den Namen des Hauptfahrers ausgestellt sein. Meine Frau dann als Zusatzfahrer mit aufzunehmen und dann ihre Kreditkarte zu hinterlegen war ebenfalls nicht möglich-auch nicht mit Zusatzgebühr. Ende vom Lied war, dass wir nicht nur unseren Mietwagen nicht bekamen sondern auch nicht ein Cent erstattet wurde. Wir haben uns dann bei einem anderen Anbieter schnell vor Ort einen Mietwagen geholt und somit 430€ zusätzlich aus der Urlaubskasse nehmen müssen.
Nie wieder Budget!!!!!!

- im Parkhaus bei 30 Grad 90 Minuten gewartet
- Wir hatten über rentalcars mit VK ohne SB gebucht. Vor Ort wurde uns ein neuer Vertrag mit 1350 Euro SB angedreht Wir mussten unterschreiben, sonst hätten wir den Wagen nicht bekommen
- Der Wagen hatte nicht dokumentierte Kratzer, die wir selber fotografiert haben und bei der Abgabe promt drauf angesprochen wurden
- Wir mussten Geld nachzahlen
- Check24/ rentalcars sagt, das ist unser Problem, weil wir vor Ort unterschieben haben

Seit März 25 warte ich auf meine Rückerstattung.
Die Mietdauer des Leihfahrzeugs wurde durch einen kurzfristigen Ryanair-Streik um 1 Woche verkürzt.
Trotz mehrmaligen Anmahnen meldet sich einfach keiner wobei ich dieses Unternehmen bei meinen zahlreichen Reisen nicht mehr nehmen werde

Budjet hat von mein Visa card die Reparatur für die Klimaanlage kassiert!!.
Ist das nicht eine Frechheit!
Eigentlich sollten sie sich dafür entschuldigen dass die Klimaanlage nach 2 und halb Tage Mietzeit und gefahrene 200 km Reparaturfaellig ist.

Es sei denn sie vermieten Schrott Autos, das Auto hatte 9800 km auf den Tacho!, hat das Auto keine Hersteller Versicherung!!!!.

Mietwagen für USA (Miami) für 10 Tage über Check24 gebucht. Incl. Versicherungen (Haftpflicht, Unfall, Reifen ...) Versicherungen wurden in Miami noch einmal von Budget berechnet. Alles in allem ca. 500 Euro draufgezahlt. Nie wieder!!!

One of the worst car rent company, Please stay away from them at all cost, it just try their best to scam their customer at all time.
As I booked car in Memmingen on 14/Feb/25 due to flight issues, I was end up in Munich just an hour late.I went to Budget desk in Munich and try to get a car from there and prepare to pay the difference. I was thought it should be a simple thing to do but it's end up as a big mess and wase me a whole day and still couldn't get a car that I have booked from Budget. So I have to hire a car from other company instead.
At first Budget said I have to go to Memmingen to get the car that I have booked, then they told me, they can give me a car at cost of €150 for a day to go to Memmingen to get my car and to let me to think about that offer. When I Just decided to go with that offer then they told me that everything is alright and I can take a car from Munich and return it to Memmingen at end of rental. Happy wait and see, just before I try to sign the final paper, I have noticed that the final price is from €260 jump to €1200. I start to question the price difference then I been told with all kinds of excuses plus they think the €260 is prepaid price even it's clear said in the book document it's full price. Once they realized they can't argue on that point then they told me they have made a mistake they will cancel that contract and I have to go to Memmingen to get my car for my original booking and in the same time €150 a day car option is disappeared from their desk as well. So I took a Uber from Munich to Memmingen with two kids and hoping we could get the car that I have booked from Budget and would not be too late for the time as we don't want to drive in the dark on the snowy road. When we get to Memmingen Budget desk then they told me there is no car for me as my booking has been canceled from their system so I told the whole story the nice guy in Memmingen Budget desk then he think such things should happened at all.
1> Budget Munich has way much more cars and they should get me a car from there.
2>If they canceled wrong contract that they have made and they should keep my original booking in the worst case but not to cancel all and told me to go to Memmingen.
There is the bit of taste as a once of Budget customer.

Please don't go through as what I have to go through.

Ich bin Urlauber und habe mir in Portugal ein Fahrzeug gemietet.
ich habe gestern das gemietete Fahrzeug in der Vermietstation "SINES CITY OFFICE" zurück gegeben.
Die annehmende Mitarbeiterin reklamierte die fehlende Koferraumabdeckung und ich erklärte ihr das ich diese Abdeckung nicht habe und diese wahrscheinlich schon bei der Abholung gefehlt hat. Die Mitarbeiterin telefonierte daraufhin in portugiesicher Sprache mit jemandem.
Nach Beendigung des Gesprächs gab es keinerlei Kommunikation mit mir. Sie machte Fotos und zum Schluss hielt Sie mir Ihr Mobiltelefon hin und forderte mich auf dort eine Unterschrift zu hinterlegen. Ich konnte nicht sehen was ich dort unterschreibe, ich hätte es aber auch nicht verstanden. Während der ganzen Zeit gab es keine verbale Kommunikation. Weder eine Erklärung oder ein Hinweis darauf das man mir etwas zur Last legt.
Gestern Abend sah ich nun in meinem Posteingang die Abschlussrechnung. Nachdem ich mir mühsam die Rechnung übersetzt habe musste ich feststellen das man eine ungerechtfertigte und völlig überzogene Forderung an mich stellte. Zusätzlich zum Mietpreis soll ich über 500€ für die Abdeckung und Stillstandzeit des Fahrzeuges bezahlen.
Meine sofortige Reklamation wurde bisher nicht bearbeitet, lediglich der Eingang wurde mir bestätigt. Bei jeder weiteren Beschwerde wird lediglich mit einer Standard-Mail den Eingang bestätigt. Man stellt sich einfach tot.
Bei 91% 1-Sterne Bewertungen frage ich mich wann jemand dieser Firma das Handwerk legt.

Avoid at All Costs!

I had an appalling experience with this car rental company, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear. Following my rental, I discovered an unauthorized charge of €880 on my credit account, far exceeding the agreed total of €483.60. This was shocking, to say the least.

Worse yet, the company falsely claimed I returned the car late, attempting to impose an additional day’s charge, even though the car was returned only three minutes past the rental end time. The terms of the rental clearly do not support this charge, and any delay in processing the return is their responsibility, not mine.

What truly added insult to injury was their complete lack of customer service. I reached out three times via email and made one phone call, only to be ignored and shut down every time. It is clear that they have no interest in resolving customer concerns and are instead focused on taking as much money as they can, whether legitimate or not.

This company’s behavior is unethical, and their overcharging practices border on a scam. I strongly urge anyone considering renting a car to choose a different company—this one is nothing but trouble. I will be taking further action!!

Do better, or expect to lose even more customers.

VORSICHT ÜBER GEBÜHREN ABZOCKE!!!
Ich dachte Budget gehört zu den seriösen Autovermietern, so hatte ich sie wenigstens von früher in Erinnerung.
Es werden versteckte Gebühren berechnet die bei der Abholung als Buchstabenkürzel @NON PKG ITEMS im Vertrag gelistet werden, die jedoch zuvor bei der online Buchung nicht erwähnt bzw berechnet wurden.
Es handelt sich dabei nicht um Extras wie: Zweiter Fahrer, Navi, Tanken oder Versicherung. Nein, es sind Flughafengebühren die abgebucht werden, obwohl der Wagen nicht am Flughafen zurückgegeben wurde.
Auf eine Antwort von Budget warte ich heute noch, ganz zu schweigen von einer Rückerstattung.

Ich habe ein Mietfahrzeug über Check 24 bei Budget angemietet. Bei der Übernhame des Fahrezeug hat man falsche Angaben gemacht .
Ich werde kein Fahrzeug mehr über Budget anmieten

ACHTUNG Abzocke!!!!
Ich habe für unseren Urlaub in den USA einen Mietwagen bei Budget gebucht. Mit sämtlichen Versicherungen für 390€ die Woche über Check24. Kaum wieder zu Hause kam per Mail eine Rechnung über zusätzliche 1.000$!! Weder am Telefon noch per Mail konnte man mir erklären, wie sich die Summe zusammensetzt. Seit 8 Wochen versuche ich nun mein Geld zurückzubekommen. Immer wieder überweisen sie mir kleine Teilsummen zurück. Reagieren trotzdem auf keine Mail und schicken mir auch keine aktuelle Rechnung.
NIE WIEDER!!! Angeblich habe ich irgendwelche Zusatzversicherungen abgeschlossen. Was für mich keinen Sinn ergibt, denn alle nötigen Versicherungen waren ja bereits enthalten! Vor Ort wurde mir auch nichts über die zusätzlichen Kosten gesagt. Die Überraschung kam leider erst in Deutschland.
Eine absolute Unverschämtheit!!! Bis heute fehlen mir über 300€…

I rented a car at Munich Airport for 2 days and drove a little over 100 km ( car used 3.7 L/ 100 km). Returned the car after filling it up at the Airport Agip station less then 2 miles away and was charged almost 22 Euros for a refueling by Budget. Even after sending in my receipt I was told it was incorrect. Not the first time this has happened to me with Budget and I will never use them again. Forgot to mention that there is no one at the Airport to accept the return and hand you a receipt. All done after the fact which of course is how they run their scam. Stay away from this company.

I usually rent from Europcar or Sixt when I travel to Germany (which I do a few times a year). This year in April I rented from Budget for the first time, mainly because they had the best price through United Airlines. When I picked up the car at Stuttgart Airport, I already felt a bit uneasy when the car (black color) was parked in a very dark corner of the underground parking garage and still wet from the car wash, which made it impossible to inspect it for prior damages. When I returned the car, everything looked fine, but I was not even at the gate when they sent me the bill. To my surprise, it included a EUR 800.00 repair estimate for a tiny scratch of about 1.5"! Since I always treat rental cars as if they were my own (i.e. very carefully) and I had parked the car in an enclosed garage for the entire week, I am absolutely sure that I did not cause this scratch. However, they did not even wait for a response or explanation but charged my credit card immediately on the day of the rental car return for the entire amount (which even included a charge for loss of rental income, although those tiny scratches will never be repaired while the car is in the rental fleet, so it is a bogus charge - basically a scam). I am pretty sure that they aim at customers from abroad who can't do anything about those fraudulent charges once they sit in the plane, which may explain the immediate charge to the credit card. I will certainly never rent from Budget again and just canceled two future one-week rentals. To me it looks as if they subsidize their cheap rental rates with ancillary income from those "repair estimates". My advice would be to rent from other car rental companies (I never had any problems in more than 25 years of renting from Sixt, Europcar or Hertz). It may cost a bit more, but at least they do not "take you for a ride" by squeezing additional money out of you (unless you are really responsible for damages, in which case it may be justified).

The worst company ever to rent a car with. Not only they took my 100 Euro Deposit, they also charged me additional fees which I was not aware about. In addition, I also paid full insurance to avoid such issues occurring but they found another way to take the money off people. When I contacted them, they advised that I had agreed the terms & conditions which the employee who actually gave me the keys advised me to make sure the gage is full and no need to worry about anything else. Liars!!! I have rented plenty of cars before and this is the worst service I ever had.

Service gibt es nicht. Ich wollte Budget Teneriffa darüber informieren, wann ich ankomme. Vom Budget Service In Deutschland wurde mir erklärt: Budget Teneriffa geht uns nichts an. Die Info an Budget Teneriffa hat dann meine Buchungsplattform übernommen.

Bei frühzeitiger Rückgabe des Fahrzeuges werden immense Gebühren berechnet, die mehr als das Doppelte des ursprünglichen Mietpreises betragen. Nie wieder Budget!!!!!
