The platform was built to solve a frustration familiar to anyone who has ever managed a construction project: the time lost hunting down materials, ringing round suppliers, and managing multiple accounts and invoices. BuyMaterials replaces that process with a single, simple workflow. Customers build a list of what they need, set a delivery date, and submit it to the network. Local merchants then compete for the business by submitting their best prices through the platform. The customer reviews the offers and places their order in one click. What used to take hours of phone calls and site visits now takes minutes. The platform serves three main audiences. Trade and professional customers, including builders, contractors and specialist tradespeople, benefit most from the time savings and the ability to manage multiple projects and materials lists in one place. Self-builders get access to competitive merchant pricing that has historically been difficult to secure without an established trade relationship. DIY and home customers can search thousands of products across categories including building materials, timber and sheet materials, plumbing and heating, electrical, fixings, tools and more. A key differentiator is the Universal Trade Account. Rather than applying for credit with each merchant individually, trade customers register once and gain access to 30-day credit terms across every merchant in the network. This removes one of the traditional barriers to switching suppliers and makes it practical to buy from whichever merchant offers the best price, rather than whichever one already has a credit file open. Absolutely first class service
Absolutely first class service, posted a quote request, had 3 options within what felt like minutes and was still delivered next day despite me being totally last minute.
You get an email from them that at first I thought was automated, hit reply and got an very fast response.
Used them the first time as I was desperate and let down by a large national supplier, and now any projects will be going this way.

Amazing find and amazing company
Easy to use, with a wide range of products. Great communication and it's saves so much time, rather than ringing so many merchants to get quotes, great it just gets done for you. Never heard of them but found an ad on Facebook and decided to give them a go.

Definitely disappointed
First time used them and definitely not happy. I've ordered ready mix concrete bags set the delivery date everything was approved by them. It was delayed another week or so also different brand product was delivered..

Quick way to find the cheapest quote
I had done some research myself and decided to try this service anyway and yes, they found a cheaper quote in less than a day.
It was cheaper by 3%, but it took me 3 days of googling to find the cheapest. Definitely an efficient service and customer service replies promptly. Recommended.

What a helpful company!
What a helpful company. I'm sure tradespeople who know what they are doing will get some value from this but for a DIY newbie fed up of Googling things he needed this was a godsend. I put in what I needed for a project, sat back and within 12 hrs had three quotes for everything. All quotes cheaper than I had found and the delivery from the firm (MST Timber in Sussex) was on the day I requested. Give them a go. I will next time!

Essential tool for the DIYer
As a newcomer to buying building materials I would not have been able to find a supplier who could deliver everything without this site. I believe I got a bit of a discount too. It was possible to build a quote and then adjust it as small details changed.
