I really like how easy it works. Paying without worries about any fees is very releasing. The only thing I miss is that I can’t deposit EURO. A friend of mine tried it and it worked so now she has to deposit euro and pass me the money in cacao cash. Nevertheless everything works how it should and makes paying like a local so much easier.

Paying for things when travelling…
Paying for things when travelling around Argentina can be a total headache, but CacaoCash has made my life so much easier. It allows you to pay via Mercado Pago QR or do direct bank transfers (transferencias), which often score you significant discounts locally.
The app is super easy to use, and my funds cleared within a day. On top of that, the exchange rates are excellent with relatively low spreads compared to standard cards or exchange houses.
Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be telling all my friends about it!

It was very easy to apply and to get approved, but, shortly after signing in with my US credit card and before transferring money to Cacaocash my card was canceled by my bank and now I need to know how to replace the card with a new one. It is probably easy to follow the app and do it as explained there, but I am over 80, and I need a nudge from someone who knows how! Thanks. Thanks for acknowledging the above,but I didn't get your email, so I continue here. Now, after I open the app it tells me to deposit $25.00 and it tells me what bank, the number of an account, the bank #, my name and the location of the bank in Kansas City. Is that safe? Is that your account to then show my balance with you? How do I contact them? Do I tell my bank to send my money there? Will that bank ask me for a new credit card?

unfortunately timelines of getting dni in argentina increased from 1-2 month to 5 month.
and i have to live somehow all this time before can get access to bank system - with this app i can.
this app is life saver against alienating bureaucratic apparatus and humiliating banking systems

Your balance is held in dollars (usdc), so before executing a payment, we need to convert it to pesos. That’s why it may take a little longer than Mercado Pago.

I was traveling in Argentina when I discovered this app, and it was a great experience. I was able to pay almost everywhere using QR codes and also withdraw cash from ATMs. I highly recommend this app.
