As of the end of 2023, Candid ceased all direct-to-consumer clear aligner products and services, and are no longer associated with this profile. Candid announced this change via news publications, on its website, and in digital communications to its customers. In the two years following the announcement, Candid assisted customers who had purchased aligner kits in completing their treatments, obtaining refunds, and beginning retention. The final day to purchase retainers as a direct-to-consumer customer was March 8th, 2024. Candid no longer provides aligners, retainers, treatment accessories, dental records, or refunds to direct-to-consumer customers. Those seeking clear aligners or retainers manufactured by Candid should work with a dental provider who uses their CandidPro product.

My four bottom middle teeth got very loose not even three months into treatment. I had to stop for fear of losing them. They would not refund any of my money. And I never should've been approved because I already had some visible bone loss that they should've told me about when they gave me the initial exam. I would not recommend Candid to anybody

I heard about Candid from two friends who instantly saw results with Candid aligners.
Unfortunately, my experience with Candid has been nothing short of disastrous.
I decided to get my impressions in person at the Santa Monica Candid studio and while the employees were kind, the process that ensued after my in person visit was awful. I went in for impressions in October 2021 - I was told that I would receive a treatment plan within two weeks. I called Candid customer service three weeks later to notify them that I hadn't received any correspondence. The first representative assured me that I would receive them soon.
These back and forth calls with Candid's customer service lasted two months. All because of mistakes made by the Santa Monica studio.
I received my aligners on 2/15/22. When you first receive your aligners, you must submit scans of your teeth using a dental monitoring device and one of the pieces used in this process did not fit my mouth. I didn't think that was the case until I received rejection emails for TWO scans that I had taken. When I reached out to Candid's customer service today (2/16/22) on live chat, Wynter (a Candid rep) to request expedited shipping on a smaller size - as I am convinced that is the cause of my inaccurate scans - I was told that they "I will see what I can do!" I've engaged with numerous Candid representatives and I have felt the lack of empathy and sense of urgency disappointing. I am paying for these aligners out of pocket.
Please note, this is my experience with Candid. I would not recommend it because of their lack of transparency and communication. I'd much rather a hassle-free experience with someone else and pay the extra $.
Fantastic product with a great all-around customer experience; highly recommended
I'd been aware of Candid for some time, but shifted into the consideration phase after seeing a customer evangelist sing praises on the Twitter. A cofounder actually jumped in at the tail end to thank someone for being a customer and I think that interaction really sealed the deal for me following my own due diligence.
I went in for my studio appointment in February and was honestly astonished at the attention to detail the customer experience has evidently received from the team. I'm so thankful to be fixing something that's bugged me for some time in a cool and innovative way and the experience after receiving my aligners in the mail and completing the monitoring scans every couple weeks has also been frictionless.
Candid partnered with Philips Zoom to offer whitening which I also purchased along with my aligner treatment. I wasn't as satisfied with the length of time that the whitening lasted, but I'm glad I at least have a benchmark to compare with my preferred methods.
I'm more than 75% of the way through my aligner treatment and am so excited to reveal a toothy smile on the other end of it all. Fantastic product with a great all-around customer experience; highly recommended.
