Some months ago, my broadband was playing up. One of the gents at Canterbury Hi FI advised a device which uses my domestic wiring to transmit broadband to my excellent Sony tv, previously supplied by them.

Excellent, expert advice and service. I was looking to upgrade my set up and purchase some new speakers and amp. Will talked me through some different options and was happy to set up a few things for me to have a listen. Really friendly service and even offered a free delivery. Would highly recommend.

Went into Canterbury Hi-FI with my husband who wanted a new amplifier and speakers. He wanted to take his time and find the right one. Will took the time to listen, set up the amp and a couple of different speakers in the demo room. We actually spent an hour and a half listening to different music genres on Will’s iPad, he listened to what my husband wanted played and we came out feeling really pleased with our purchase. Will said it could be delivered next day to save trying to fit boxes in our car and lessen the chance of damage. Delivery guy was lovely, but we did have one item that was missing. We rang the shop and with a couple of hours he came back to us with it.
Great service, will definitely go back for audio or visual equipment. Much nicer than someone rushing you and pushing you into buying something you don’t want in the chain shops!

Expert help in selecting a product, very helpful, not pushy and very friendly. Great customer service. Good dem room too. I will definitely buy from them again.

Phoned Canterbury HiFi to enquire about repairing an amplifier I purchased there many years ago (and which is still in regular use). The phone was as answered promptly and politely by Wil, who said although they no longer do repairs on site, but could recommend some one who can. After contacting them, the amplifier was fixed within a few days and now fully working as it should.
Having previously made a few purchases from here, I found their service and knowledge was excellent, so a much belated many thanks for helping me choose some great hifi, exactly to my needs and which has lasted for ages!

What can I say excellent service from start to finish . You can not put a price on the knowledge and advice we were given. In particular Wil. He was amazing .
He helped us put a Sonos system together that would meet our needs. Giving us advice all the way . Nothing has been too much trouble throughout. Goods were delivered and support was provided to set up .

Bough a new hi fi/CD player. Easy to choose in shop as staff very helpful. Installer was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Over many years this business has been a great help, first with Sennesheiser head phones, and now with getting my Sony TV to produce bearable sound , and subtitles on Iplayer
They are careing, extremely helpful and understanding
I recommend them to anyone with a hearing problem

What can I say but still the best independent TV and Hi-Fi shop out there, ordered my B&W 702s3s via Wil who has been in the hi-fi business for over 30 years

Wanted to replace my Bang & Olafson it was 30 years old , I had a budget in mind and the guys at Canterbury HiFi have gone above and beyond for me guiding me through the separates I wanted, the service from these guys is fantastic, from advice , to trying out the equipment at there shop , right the way to delivery and installation if I wanted.

I see that I am joining a long line of five stars, they are so well deserved, and this is an excellent company to deal with.

We dealt with them eight years ago when we needed a new T.V. and it was a no-brainer to go back to them for a replacement.

We chose the L.G. from them and, being elderly, my husband is almost 90, we opted to take advantage of Canterbury Hi Fi' setting up service.

I wish that I had asked the installation engineer his name as I can only refer to him as he.

'He' took time and trouble beyond our expectations, I am sure that he stayed longer than he expected to, but he was very kind, patient, and very understanding.

I feel that we were lucky to be able to access a shop with such a wealth of expertise available and I think it shows the value of buying from an independent shop that is a specialist in its field.

Wil listened to what I was looking for as a replacement for my aged hi-fi system and came up with a solution that is perfect for my needs. When he installed it, he explained everything I needed to know. The sound quality is a great improvement on my old system and I am very happy with it.

Having just decided to revisit the world of vinyl Canterbury HiFI was the recommended and obvious place to go. Amazing stock, proper, informed advice and I’ve come away loving the sound of my vinyl records. I spent quite a while in a great listening room with Will, no pressure but I was presented with realistic options by a guy that obviously loves his music as much as I do. Thanks Will and so good to see a specialist, independent shop still thriving.

Thanks to Will who helped immensely in demonstrating the gear I wanted to listen to. Nothing was too much trouble...especially as I am an old duffer and was not sure about the Wiim pro plus, but his explanation turned it into a must have. Also offered a much reduced b grade item which ultimately I decided against. Then out of the blue offered me a £50 discount on the speakers I selected. 5 stars all around and highly recommended.

A great shop. They carry a good range of gear, and are always happy to chat, with no pressure or tough sells. They know their stuff and often have "B-grade" stock so you can bag something with a barely-noticeable blemish for great prices. They didn't even mind ordering in a Leak Stereo 230 to go with a WiiM Ultra, instead of the Mission 778X I'd listened to. Long live the local hi-fi shop!

Customer-orientated, listens to your needs, and makes suggestions based on them. I selected separates and a
LG TV couldn't be happier. Purchased on a Tuesday, delivered, and installed the following Monday—clean and tidy installation. Another plus is that they answer the phone promptly and return your calls - a rarity nowadays.

Reliable service and helpful staff. Unlike some businesses they do get back to you. One of a dwindling number of proper HiFi shops that I would recommend.

Our initial visit to enquire about a turntable, amp and speakers could not have gone smoother. Resurrecting our vinyl collection, after 45 years stored away, was our plan.
Being able to hear the sound quality in their demo room, was an absolute winner. Nothing was too much trouble. Two amps were demonstrated, which gave us the choice of sound output.
