Update to my review, I have been contacted to replace the item, they have resolved any issues rectifying their mistake. I'm a believer that admitting too and rectifying mistakes should be praised rather than discouraged I've asked my ratings as above.

I'm a long time lover of their mustache wax, fragrances, conditioner, shaving soap, moisturiser... And so on.

I in all honesty expected good customer service considering their portrayal as a gentleman's emporium.

However I purchased one of their wallets two and a half months ago and in normal use it is coming apart already. I made contact with them and I got a mostly generic reply that as it didn't fall apart in 28 days they won't do anything, seeming to ignore the consumer rights act section 9 that there's an expectation of quality. I'd understand that if I'd got this for £5 and it lasted a couple of months but this is a £40 wallet that has been in my pocket during office work and going shopping so it's not even been used hard.

The dismissive response ignorant of their obligations under the consumer rights act has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Depending on their reply to my email making them aware of the above they can either fix it or I'll have to just file a chargeback and find a better company to get my grooming products from.

I have many Captain Fawcett products, mainly of the Booze and Baccy range and the excptional Expedition Special Reserve Range.

Booze and Baccy does not get on with my skin. To me the scent is unpleasant at first, drying down to a nice but very short lived scent.

Unfortunatily I have to say the same of the Rufus Hound Triumphant scent. Not for me.

NOW, let's get onto something more positive; Captain Fawcett's Expedition Special Reserve. A stunning Cologne, though I wish it lasted a little longer. Superb liquid soap that lathers well and smells divine long on the skin. The body wash get's up a good lather but the smell washes straight off, the same with the shampoo. The deodorant stick smells good and lasts well - causing no irritation.

I guess I have been a little tough on the lasting power of ESR, but I do have a huge range of grooming products and this is one of the shorter lasting. BUT IT IS A DIVINE SMELL! And well priced in the market.

I was looking for a moustache guard cup for my husband's birthday and this is the best one I could find.

The cup has arrived in excellent packaging, very carefully packaged.

The cup is great quality and big enough, comparable to a big cappuccino cup, great for my big moustached coffee drinker husband.

Also has lots of other good beard and hair care products for men.

Very pleasantly surprised, and very glad to discover this shop.

I am a big fan of their products.
I have used the Luxurious Shaving Soap and the refills for many years now.
Also, the Gentlemen´s soap.
Their Shaving Soap is my favourite compared others I use from different premium brands.
Last Christmas I received a Finest Hand-Crafted Safety Razor.
Love the ergonomic and how it feels in my hand. Beautiful and comfortable, but weak, very weak.
I am not a very bearded guy, only 1 shave a week is enough. With less than 20 uses, unfortunately I dropped it on the sink, a slight impact, and surprisingly the neck of the razor broke. And it's screwed on, so it's beyond repair.
It's very disappointing that, given its price, it has such poor durability.
Truly, it is very disappointing because this company`s products are made of excellent quality.
And not help at all from the customer service.
Their razor, at least, definitely not recommended.

Great products at the premium end of the market. Scents are suttle and have staying power. There mens moisturizer is not greasy and stays on the skin and keeps it soft and protects it. Strongly recommended.

This is a thoroughly excellent company if you're after vintage style men's grooming products - the quality of the items is superb and the service is equally good.

What a wonderful place, full of exquisite artefacts. We were warmly welcomed and introduced to the Captain's 'Right Hand Man'. Then, a tour of the emporium and museum, ably conducted by one of his crew; absolutely fascinating!
Taking coffee and perusing the stock list, we choose an item for purchase; a glorious gift package of beard oil and moustache wax for despatch to New Zealand.
The service was exemplary.
We said our goodbyes and by the evening we received confirmation that our package was on its way - top hole!
