Even for temporary residents !!
Once process completed, Carbar really did deliver a great car in perfect condition. We visit Victoria for around 3 months most years - legacy car rental is expensive even for entry level models - with no discounts for long term (say 2 or 3 months) rentals. Carbar address a gap in the market by offering a payment structure supporting longer term rentals. The up front fee is fixed and very modest weekly rates soon absorb the upfront to privies excellent value.

Great site. Lots of useful information, which helped me with choosing a car. I ordered a car, everything was delivered on time, the paperwork was not too difficult. I was worried at first, but then I didn't regret my choice.

Although I didn’t get the car on the date allocated they did work hard to get me in the car the date I needed to as I was going away.

Experience has basically been spot on. Two notes
- prior owner of car was clearly a smoker. This is fine, I can sort it out but maybe let me know first
- there were a lot of requests to set up direct debit even though it was already setup
