First time I had bought from Cardiff Gold and it was a very pleasurable experience. The full gold sovereign coin was well priced as it kept pace with the spot price. An easy enough purchase and quick... Voir plus

Bruce, you have never bought gold from us. This order relates to a copper bar... Can you clarify?

On 31st May 2026 I placed four separate orders for 1 x box of 10 5g copper bars, 1 x box of 10 10g copper bars, and 2 x box of 5 1kg copper bars on same day because Cardiff Gold wouldn't/couldn't accept more than one item at a time. The boxes of 5g and 10g bars arrived in good condition, however the 2 boxes of 1kg bars were battered and the outer boxes of both were torn and one of the inner boxes containing the bars had ripped completely on one side which caused the bars to fall out when I opened the outer box. I did speak to Cardiff Gold about this at the time and the woman I spoke to was very polite and apologetic. I wasn't going to write a review because it wouldn't have been a very positive one. However I have just found another website that is selling the exact same item of Germania Copper bars at a significantly lower price. The box of 5 x 1kg bars are almost 40% cheaper than Cardiff gold including delivery. I have paid £228 more all together for the two boxes of 5 x 1kg bars and although it's my fault for not checking properly (I did check to see if they were being sold elsewhere but didn't find this website at the time), I still think the huge difference in price is pure greed. Sorry I don't like to write bad reviews normally but this has p***ed me off a bit.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and I'm sorry the two 1kg boxes arrived damaged - that's not the standard we want, and I'm glad the team could help at the time.
On pricing, it's worth explaining the context around 31st May: demand for these bars was exceptionally high that day and stock sold out within minutes, which is exactly why the one-item-per-order limit was in place - it wasn't a checkout restriction for its own sake, it was to manage a genuine rush. Copper bar pricing, like any metal, moves with market conditions, and prices have naturally eased since then as that demand settled. We were pricing competitively for the conditions at the time, and remain so now - I've had a look and I'm not currently finding anyone selling these for less. We will continue to lower prices as we can.

It is easy and straight forward when it comes buying expensive metals. I liked the concept if holding it charge free in their vault.

Very efficient service and great website. Putting the copper up to double the price was a bit naughty though. You originally said a small increase. Otherwise perfect
