Carfest Avis 27

Carfest 2023,
was our first time at Carfest and whilst we generally enjoyed the day there were several things people should be aware of. 1 it is very hilly and there are long walks up hill from the car parks. 2 this is not a cashless sight and most exhibitors I spoke to would prefer cash as the wifi was not very good for processing cards. 3 The sound system needs to be improved on the main stage, the acts were competeing with the fairground noise most of the time, and Chris Evans could not be heard. I felt sorry for the guides as they could not be heard over the general noise. 4 there needs to be a queuing system for the toilets and they need to be emptied a little more often. 5 stock of Merch was poor, 11am on Saturday there were no XL sizes left in hoodies and most of the T-shirts. 6.£10 for a festival guide was a bit over the top, given that it only had a lanyard, a booklet with timings and a small map of the sight, oh and hand sanitizer...would be better if this was given free considering the cost of entry.

This event title is misleading. The event is mostly about music and families (kids). The car content is pathetic.

Shocking company!!!
My family members got covid before we were due to go so I emailed the Wednesday before and got a response saying I could have a refund. I have sent the required evidence they have asked for . I have emailed many many times and never get a response . Apart from one 2 weeks ago saying they were still investigating ! Investigating what ?? I never got a response. I have been told twice I can have a refund but no response as to how I go about this. Absolutely disgusted that they have stolen our money. I won’t let this drop and will escalate it.

If you want to go to CarFest I would suggest booking on the day because trying to get a refund, even having purchased the cancellation policy, is near on impossible!
When the event was moved I was flexible, no complaints... but when my Dad died just before the event (his funeral was just afterwards) resulting in me sending a refund request, TicketPlan were not so amenable and even though I had already sent them a copy of my Dads death certificate WITH my name stated on it, they STILL asked me to complete a form and get his doctor to sign it.
This document had been proof enough for banks, building societies, the government etc. etc. but not CarFest and TicketPlan.. I am LIVID!

I originally ordered tickets to Retro Car Fest in Bicester. This event was cancelled by the organiser. I requested a refund and was then sent a re booking for Car Fest South despite never having requested that. I did NOT book this. After numerous emails to See tickets the ticket agents...and the organisers themselves I have now had to engage my credit card company to get a dispute raised for refund. I would seriously advise anyone against booking an event which has such poor organisation and disgusting attitude towards customer refunds for something which they cancelled. .

After requesting a transfer of family group tickets to 2022 due to unforeseen medical problem with youngest grandchild. We are after a month of trying still needing a confirmation for See Tickets. Unable to speak to human, robot does not understand problem. No reply to several emails. Time running out and along with our patience. Very poor customer service, from an event proud of its reputation for being fair and caring. Is Chris Evans aware this is happening in his name.

We paid extra for refund protection, and three months after first requesting a refund we're still battling them for it. Really appalling customer service from a company that clearly doesn't care about its customers.
