Very deceptive website. Clothing not in pictured fabric. A top that was supposed to be linen is cheap polyester. Looks like a local store, actually China. Live and learn!

Linen?? How about 100 percent poly. Don’t buy. Why is this even allowed.? Will I get any relief from my credit card? Yes I checked references and they were good. Where is the oversight on this farce?? Obviously not under this administration.

The dress that I ordered was advertised as a midi length made of linen. Midi is defined as - Midi length dresses hit between the knee and the ankle, offering a universally flattering silhouette. The dress is above my knee and I am 5'6". It is made of polyester, not linen. Their return offer was unacceptable. Buyer beware.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering from Carol and Margaret. The company presents itself as a charming North Carolina-based boutique started by “two friends” decades ago, but that appears to be pure marketing fiction. In reality, this seems to be nothing more than a low-quality overseas drop-shipping operation based in China.

The clothing quality is disappointing, shipping takes forever, and customer service is essentially nonexistent. They advertise easy returns, but good luck actually getting return authorization. The phone number does not work, emails go unanswered, and there is no meaningful customer support.

Even worse, if you do manage to return something, you are expected to pay expensive international shipping back to CHINA plus a restocking fee. By that point, returning the item is hardly worth it.

The entire experience feels misleading from start to finish. Save yourself the aggravation and order from a reputable company with honest business practices and real customer service. You can find many of the same items on Amazon for less.

I googled this Carol and Margaret , and it spit back legit. Thanks a lot. So I ordered. BAD mistake. A fraud. Not a cute boutique but a drop ship outfit from China. Never got my order. I checked my bank and so far so suspicious charges...but hope that stays that way. DO NOT ORDER

I agree with the other reviewers. The company presents itself as a U.S. based boutique with quality merchandise. When my order hadn’t shipped after a week from the confirmation, I asked for a refund. Magically, the order “shipped” the next day and you guessed it…from China!! I’ll do my research before ordering ANYTHING online again. Their advertising should be illegal; it’s pure deception.

Company ships from China! Product was poor quality! No tag on top and looked like it was made by a child. Do not order from them. Beware!

I ordered a name-brand pair of sandals, but when they arrived, I was shocked by their poor quality, with plastic everywhere. They feel like a cheap imitation of a higher-end product. Additionally, I received no response to my emails, and there was no answer on the published phone line regarding my refund. Plus, I cannot find my order # or confirmation of my order. This feels like a total scam. Beware!

This company is a fraud. They pretend to be located in Wilmington NC but it’s your typical low quality knock offs out of China.

I looked before ordering to see if the company was legit and got good ratings. AI must have sent me somewhere else because I read there were good ratings and from Wilmington. I now find, while waiting many weeks, that my order is, yes you got it, right from China. Very disappointed and I have no high expectations from what I am going to see in my order. I am so disgusted with the trickery to get you to order. My advice is.....please don't!

I came here to verify what I was seeing on the site ... items had 4.7/5 ☆ and 2415+ reviews ... every item .. so, suspect. I read the refund policy looking for that telltale China return address, but it has the US/Wilmington one listed. THANK YOU for your reviews. I asked Google for US brands ... this one slipped through. I hate this deception!!

I am waiting for two dresses I ordered a week and a half ago. I live three and a half hours from Wilmington, which is where they imply merch is coming from. It’s coming from China. Neither the customer service phone number nor email works. I’m very leery. I dread going through the mess of canceling my order. DON’T WASTE MONEY by ordering from here.

The information on the company website is suspect. I received my order of polyester clothing described on the site as silk and cotton. The easy return policy is to return to China at my expense. The warehouse address in NC is for Independence Mall, if you’re in the area, do your homework. Buyer, be aware!

The website lists the cust service phone in Indiana, the company address in The Netherlands, and a "warehouse" in Wilmington. Pics on the website appear on other "stores" websites (same backgrounds, same models). This misrepresentation immediately lost my trust... and my business.

I thought the products sold by this site were coming from Wilmington, NC - much to my surprise they were being shipped from China. Could not get an answer as to where my items were or when they might be delivered without paying for an app to locate the shipment. Beware!

An update to my experience with this merchant - I received my items - poor quality in my opinion. I have sent e-mails to get information to send the items back; I have called the phone number listed and no one answers - what a mess. My only recourse is to file a dispute on my credit card . I suggest caution!
