Failed Addvent Bathroom Extractor Fan
I purchased the Addvent bathroom fan extractor model AXX100TH from CEF which was not cheap. Setting the RH value was annoying as I set it to a normal 70% and it just kept running and running and this whilst the the property was vacant. So no real moisture in the air other than it was summer, the air was warmer and so held more moisture. I took my Hygrometer to the property and the RH was 64%, yet the fan would continue on & on and on when set at 70%. After quite a while I found that the fan had to be set at 85% before it switched off at a room RH of 64%. As a landlord used to dealing with mold in my properties it is concerning to not be able to rely on an expensive extractor fans accuracy. Needless to say I will never purchase an Addvent extractor again. Why would CEF sell these???
