Ian, the designer and MD, personally came to oversee the fitting of the Gulley. He's a very kind, intelligent and careful person he's bit of a perfectionist, which is no bad thing when you're going to be left with this thing! The product is good and it's easy to use. The design has been carefully thought through. I'm interested to see how well the silicone strip survives, but so far, so good.

This is a very robust gully, capable of accommodating my 18mm diameter cable.

I was able to ask for technical details in advance of installation, which lasted less than 2 hours.

The contractor installed the gully with a slight fall, which helps to drain water from it.

I had a Charge Gully installed as part of my local council EV charger trial. After a lot of delays, (nothing to do with Charge Gully) I have now been using it for a couple of weeks and it is a game changer. Installed on time with zero hassle. we had a gully installed as part of a council trial, i was fhe first person in our area to ask the council to do the trial ( it was a quick process supported by ian with info and photos of gullys etc), i found out the names of those at top of roads & infrastructure, the person dealing with the work towards net zero and head planning dept and emailed them all directly with great sucess. this was just before xmas they agreed a trial within 24 hours, however, nothing happened for 2 weeks over xmas period and the council began liasing with charge gully owner ian directly. All in it too a couple of months to install from my initial contact, however this length of time was because there wasn’t already agreement in place with our council it’s normally done in 2 weeks. as the person who laid the foundation for the gully install trial in our area i was given a very generous discount. We also used some government grants towards the cost of install so paid only a couple hundred towards it outselves wich i was delighted with- look into gov grants if you are installing. Ian communicated with me all through out and gave information to populate forms for documents etc and regularly updated.

The gully itself was installed very quickly on the install day took a few hours we didnt even need to be home. the job was completed professionally, efficiently and to a high standard. The gully is so easy to maintain ( we give it a scoosh with the pressure washer or hose if we arw in garden to keep it clean and debris free). It sits flush to ground so no trip hazard to pavement, and is very simple to operate ( key to unlock, ilift the lift place or renove cable, close lid & relock. Our one “ complaint “ is we only got one key ans felt we needed 2 ( mainly due to a key obsessed toddler in our house ). The gully itself is so easy to
Operate and has allowed us home charging without a driveway.

I contacted charge gully about buying an additional key he was very honest telling me i could buy online cheaper than they could supply one but where happy to sell me one, we also had contact for weeks after following up that we were happy and all was working smoothly as it should.

All in all i would recommend a gully and it you are advised none in your council yet id urge you to spend half an hour finding out who the contract people are in your area and type up an email yes it took longer than normal ( i believe it is normally less than 2 weeks for install) but has paid off ten fold and i paid very little for it in end due to a generous discount & grants funding, it has reduced our charging cost dramatically.

For me to have a home charger fitted, I required a gully to cross a public footpath to my parking space. Chargegully not only provided a fantastic service, but they were very helpful in dealing with any paperwork issues which cropped up with my local council. Chargegully provided a superb service from start to completion and now I am able to charge my car at home. Simply a superb service provided by Chargegully. I would highly recommend.

Ian was very helpful and supportive providing good advice and supporting the planning application for the Charge Gully to be installed. Highly recommend if you are having to run an EV charging cable across a pavement. Installation was delayed a bit due to council process, and this being one of the first installed in the council area, however Ian kept me fully informed at all stages. Installation was straight forward and only took a couple of hours to complete.

Without this gully it would not have been possible for me to own an EV. It is the difference between charging at 7p per KWh and 45-80p. Charge Gully did a great job in identifying and installing the gully which works perfectly. These gullys are the future of EV charging for those with no off-road/driveway or garage access. It makes it possible for all of us and Charge Gully are a recommended supplier. Excellent comms plus a clean and efficient install.

Really quick easy installation and has made my charging already so much cheaper and quicker. Ian is also absolutely lovely and on hand through it all!

I wanted a practical solution to leaving my car plugged in across a pavement without creating a trip hazard, and looks good. The lockable Charge Gully meets these needs and more. For example, its rated to take 10 tons of pressure so a heavy lorry can put a wheel on it without an issue. Additionally , you can't accidently leave the lid up as it has a spring to automatically close it.

Great product, great service - this has to be the future for so many electric vehicle owners.
