We had a great experience with the removal company recently when moving out of area and the process going over 3 days. Martin, Dave, Dan, Matt, Glen and Steve were all friendly and professional and the full packing service was definitely worth it! (alleviated a lot of stress). We would definitely recommend to others. A Disappointing Experience with Chelmsford Removals

I hired Chelmsford Removals for a two-part service involving a removal and the reassembly of a large wardrobe, and was charged £689. Expecting a professional service, I was assured by the company that their team was highly qualified. However, the experience was anything but professional.

From the start, the dismantling of our wardrobe was mishandled, leading to a chaotic and stressful situation at our new property. One team member, left to manage the wardrobe assembly alone, clearly struggled with the task.

The wardrobe, which was in perfect condition prior to the move, was subject to such poor handling that my son and I ended up assisting with the unloading to speed things up.

The process was fraught with issues: loud banging from improper tool use, a lack of coordination, and visible struggle were just the beginning. It culminated in the wardrobe being left in a state of absolute disrepair—misassembled and damaged.

When we reported the issue, Chelmsford Removals defensively claimed the wardrobe was already damaged, contradicting the evidence we provided from the move day.

Further, when we requested a written statement clarifying the alleged pre-existing damages, all we received was an offensive offer of £50 as a "gesture of goodwill." This response was not only inadequate but also dismissive of the significant inconvenience and cost their service has caused us.

This experience has been frustrating and costly. The lack of professionalism and skill promised by Chelmsford Removals turned what should have been a straightforward move into a nightmare.

I cannot recommend their services based on our experience, and we caution potential customers to consider other more reliable removal services.

Great communication to work through what was a complicated move in two stages. Steve and his team of guys on removals day were efficient, polite and went the extra mile to make sure we were well looked after at both ends of the process. Thanks to everyone involved!

Was hesitant due to how pricy the service is but I soon found out why.

You're paying for top tier. Plain and and simple.

The surveyor Martin who came to the initial house checks and provide boxes explained the process and answered any questions I had.

On move day. The crew showed up on time they were polite professional and worked with great efficiency and care. They protected my house and carefully disassembled the furniture and put it back in the same condition in its final destination.

What I want to say about the team is that these aren't your standard man and a van outfit. They are professional they have a strategy; a way of doing things. They are very organized and have the flexibility to adapt to any of your moves particulars.

The three stars are for the excellent removal team, who on the day worked hard, smart and very courteous. We were not present as disabled. They liaised with our daughter and it went very smoothly thank you to these hard workers.
However, the same cannot be said for the Finishing packer. Rude, scruffy and unhelpful. Packing was poor, I have seen better from Amazon! Pictures placed in a box with no protective packing and next to a boot polish box. Several items have been spoiled and damaged, some of sentimental value. I have been told it is too late to claim as over seven days. But am awaiting a dispute notice. Training is apparently being given regarding this but that does not correct the damage or the upset.

Faultless service from the whole team; estimates, pricing, flexibility, timing and of course the hard work of taking care of our possessions both in storage and delivery. They really could not have been any better. First choice for the next move, for sure. Thank you! ⚒️

We moved from Romford to Chelmsford after being in the same house for 30yrs. We used Chelmsford removals as our daughter had used them previously and said good things about them. We received enough boxes the previous week to start packing. The day of the move came and 4 guys ( Mick Wayne,
Steve and Kev) turned up in a van and a lorry . You could not fault them they never stopped. Beds ,tables were dismantled and put back together at the new house. They were very careful with our belongings and loaded and unloaded expertly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chelmsford Removals.

I wanted a professional removal company and got. It is stressful moving and I want to be sure that everything went smoothly on the day. So whilst this company was not the cheapest, it was clearly not a man and his mate with lorry. Everything went smoothly, the men were very helpful and carried out the job perfectly.

She told me how good they were.
She was not wrong. They were helpful, listened, communicated well with me and each other.
I walked one gentleman around and explained what I wanted and that was it.
They protected the carpets, the front door, my furniture and TV with specialist materials and wrappings.
The crew work really hard and fast.
When we got to the other end, they were just as brilliant.
They made it so simple for me.
After it was all in, they asked me if I needed anything else moved or rearranged. They were really nice guys. 100% happy and impressed.

Exceptional fantastic superb and that’s just for starters, we had the packing service the day before and how they cared for and wrapped every item was outstanding, what they did that day would have taken us weeks.
The move itself was stress free, just what you want, the care in moving out and then moving in was so carefully choreographed that everyone knew what was to be done and by whom.
