The diesel maintenance course was really worthwhile. Andrew is an excellent instructor and clearly explained the subjects. I would train here again.
Enjoyed learning how to control, navigate and manovour on a RIB and a Jaffa. Also learnt how to control the RIB in narrow distances with marinas Was taught by Alp - James

The company delivers a wide range of Sea Survival, First Aid, GMDSS, engineering, navigation, maritime security and powerboat courses for super-yacht, workboat and leisure boating crew and masters. Sailing and powerboat students will find we offer the widest range of shorebased, marine radio, yacht maintenance, engineering, first aid at sea and navigation courses of any RYA Training Centre. The centres are equipped with first class resources and training aids for GMDSS, marine engineering and survival training.

Took too long
Took too long. Strayed off point at times with anecdotes. Tips on knots at end of the day (17:45 when we thought the course was to finish at 16:15) seemed irrelevent.

Very enjoyable course, informative and interesting, with the benefit of classroom and dock being very close together so in minutes of leaving the classroom you are on the water. Well set up and professional training centre with helpful and pleasant tutor who gave clear explanations.

Better than expected
I thought this might've been a very basic course just touching on the different systems of an engine. But it was more in depth than expected and very educational. The instructor was Very good at explaining things

Absolutely great Diesel engine course…
Absolutely great Diesel engine course by John yesterday. Perfect learning environment and tone set by John. Explained things so well, simplifying and breaking the items down into the component parts. Fun, entertaining, relaxed style. Modern classroom with great engines to work on and a running one other side. Parking easy and excellent kitchen facilities. All round excellent. Would recommend for and course.

A very practical course.
A very practical and hands on with question and answer sessions throughout the day.
It was useful that the instructor was both ex military and paramedic, using his previous experience to set the scenes.
I only have one criticism is that there were 2 members of staff on the course who had a different agenda to the rest of the course members. Otherwise a very enjoyable course with a gregarious instructor

Thanks for the feedback. We are not 100% sure which course you were on but we are glad you enjoyed it. Bit confused by the 2 staff comment as we have not had any staff members on any of our courses this week.
