THEY WILL TAKE YOUR 300K HOW DARE THIS BANK GOING TO TAKE MONEY FROM THEIR INVESTOR THEY USED OUR MONEY FOR 5 YEARS THEN WHEN WE WANT TO GET BACK WE ARE GOING TO LOSS 300K? NEVER GET ANY MANUAL LIFE INSURANCE TO ANY BANK THEY’RE THE SAME!

Kaya 1 star lang po kasi, about sa ATM card ko po di pa din ma release release yung card ko pero meron na daw PIN po 1 month na po lumilipas pero hanggang ngayon same answer pa din na rerecieve ko sa customer service pag tumawag ako or pupunta ako personally sa china bank san ako nag open acc. mag flight na kasi ako this coming week ilang beses na ako sumahod over the counter, pa alis nako sabi pa nila di pwede kahit mother mo na kukuha ng sasahurin ko even though mag bibigay naman ako authorization letter bawal pa din daw if years pa balik ko years din bago ko makuha sahod ko ? Ganun ba ka bagal yung procedure pag rerelease ng ATM card po at ako naman mismo bibigay authorization sa mother ko para makuha yung sasahurin ko sa august 15 2024

if I can give customer service online…

if I can give customer service online zero I will. I had issues with OTP that apparently foreign nos is not accepted only local nos. I called their international toll free and it's always busy.. even if I dialed direct no use still busy. I emailed them and it will take several days to respond.. The only time I spoke to someone was at 1 am Philippine time and still nothing resolved. They assured me someone will call. I gave them a time frame since there's a 12 hour time difference.. its nearly midnight and no one calls. I cannot access my account.. Very poor customer service..if your at the branch personally you are looked after but their on line customer service is worse of the worse.. Im so frustrated that I will be taking my account out of there and move it to another bank

Company that ask their employee to return their salary.

Regretted and questioned my life working for this company aside for having to return part of my salary after leaving them I also had to deal with their extremely low salary. So imagine requiring me to give back part of my salary aside from the low salary. While working with another they would never send a letter to give back the salary they gave to me. since despite moving on but sending letter regarding finances.

Office bullying is very prominent in the branch I was assigned to. I just want to vomit the part where I worked for this company.

Diversion of Information

The Worst Bank ever! They've told me back in November 2021 that the loan of my deceased mother will be waived as long as I submit all necessary requirements without them even mentioning a deadline as it was my intention during that time. In January 2022, I've submitted everything and the one who received it told me they'll give me an update if the one responsible comes back. In March 2022, I've asked for an update since they kept on calling my sister to pay the loan then I went to their office to remind them that I have submitted all necessary requirements and did everything they have told me in November 2021. Their staff responsible in handling my transaction kept on repeating that they never received the requirements and almost yelled at me. Then, me and the staff responsible agreed to have all procedures repeated to have my deceased mother's loan waived since they kept on telling me they received nothing. After I went out of the bank, their staff called me on the phone and told me they have found the papers I have submitted and told me that they will give an update if the waiver shall be approved. Two months passed and no update happened until I called them and asked for any and the staff responsible that the waiver is not approved. Having no other choice, I had to pay the loan of my deceased mother all because they diverted information and they don't know how to fix their files. They could have told me that the loan of my deceased mother must be paid when I went there in November 2021.

Not a good place to work

A very toxic workplace is not enough but resignation process and low salary made working for Chinabank much worse. Qualification is high but other companies you don't have to be a college graduate but can earn more than working in this company.

Funky app!

Their app is horrible. It takes minutes to proceed from page to page. SMS OTP arrives very late. Your error: "EC0003: Sorry, Error in processing your request. Please try again." even has wrong uppercase usage.

Great Service

Great service and the mobile app is very easy to use. Bank tellers are very nice as well.

RUBBISH, AVOID THIS BANK !

One of the worst banks of the planet.
Customer Service is diabolical, no one ever answers the phone and you wait like 2 hrs just to be seen.

I had an internet banking problem and you are on your own. All they say to you is reset your log in details, if that doesn't work you are on your own. The online agent doesn't even seem to care.

Worst ever bank, I regret putting money into this piece of Chinese rubbish.

i opened a new account (MONEY PLUS) and…

i opened a new account (MONEY PLUS) and I was not explained well about the maintaining balance of 50thou pesos by the employee in charge,,,they just orient me about the good interest rate,,,my account has a balance of 15thou for 6 months and i was surprised when i deposited 80thou cash my account was sliced of 1800 pesos,,,i asked them why? that's the time they explained it to me about the maintaining balance was below 50thou and i got penalties,,,,i'm just wondering why they didn't even send an email or even contact me about the penalties i'll get if i will not do something which is common to other BANKS,,,, very much disappointed.....

Cheating clients into accepting loans believed to have low interest rates then increase after signing

I am a resident from the Philippines and my husband is a Danish citizen. We filed a homeloan in Chinabank for our flat in Makati and the beginning of the application was rather smooth and are actually happy with the timely service. However, this was apparently short-lived and had taken a turn after we signed the loan- after it was too late to change to another bank.

In one of the emails we got from them stating the loan was approved, it said the rate we were going for (6.25 p.a. fixed for 5 yrs) is only valid until end of September.

To cut the story short, we finished all the requirements before that (we left Philippines on September 15) and had our attending officer confirmed that all our documents have been approved. By end of November, the loan was settled with Megaworld where our condo was purchased and everything seemed to work out as planned. Only to find out as late as December 7 that Chinabank had suddenly changed our Interest Rate from 6.25% to 7.5% instead without informing us beforehand. We immediately asked for clarifications on this and for the interest rate to be corrected, only to be told that because loan was paid out end of November, not before September 30, the prevailing interest rate of the time had been applied instead. This without telling us any of this or clarifying why and when we tried to probe, gave us very brief answers and finally told us to "please send a complain letter to the customer contact center". We were stunned with this not even giving us a person in charge rather throwing us among the stacks of other complains of thousands of other people (including issues such as forgotten pincode, etc...) We are talking about a loan involving millions, and this is the treatment we get.

As a customer, we feel we have been tricked and cheated into agreeing and later on when everything else has been settled and have stopped all applications with other banks, they send you a notice that almost seemed hilarious "by the way interest rate is different, FYI. But don't worry, it's just a slight increase of over one million, no biggie".

My husband and I are versed in these kind of things and we still can't believe that Chinabank is putting us in this situation. We can't help but think about other fellow Filipinos, who probably has lesser knowledge and ultimately lost in the jargons and strings of the Philippine banking business . That one day, an officer will tell them that they have to pay more than they were initially told then hand them with a big stack of papers and say "the terms and policies" are indicated there.

As of this review, we have been asking for the right person who will help us with the issue but they keep referring us to the said customer service so this is going downhill as you can already tell.

If anybody has similar experience with Chinabank, please come forward and let us know what you have done with it. We want to inform everyone who is planning to do business with them as we want to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
