Hi,

We're sorry the product did not meet your expectations, but we believe this review is unfair for one important reason.

Your review is based on features you expected to find in the presets, but which were never advertised, described, or demonstrated anywhere in the product presentation.

At no point did we state that each FM3 preset would include multiple scenes (Clean, Crunch, Lead, etc.). The contents of the pack are presented transparently before purchase, and the demos accurately represent what is included.

We completely understand that you would have preferred a different programming approach. However, personal expectations that were never part of the product description should not be confused with missing features or misleading advertising.

The pack contains exactly what was advertised and demonstrated before purchase, with no hidden omissions or discrepancies.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we were unable to find any support request from you prior to this review. We always encourage customers to contact us directly before drawing conclusions, as most issues can be quickly resolved.

Regarding your feedback, the result you describe is not consistent with the actual quality of the product. Our presets are tested and reflect exactly what is demonstrated in the demos. When the outcome is significantly different, it is almost always due to an incorrect setup or loading procedure.

In particular, based on your description, it is very likely that the IRs were not properly loaded or assigned, as clearly explained in the Readme file included with the pack. Without the correct IR configuration, the presets will not sound as intended.

We are, of course, available to help you resolve this. If you contact us and provide a short video of your loading process, we will guide you step by step to achieve the correct results.

First of all, publicly stating that our products are a “scam” is false and inappropriate. Choptones is a registered company with thousands of customers worldwide, and our products are demonstrably real, delivered, and used daily by professionals and hobbyists alike.

Regarding your purchase: you bought Ampero Essentials Vol.1.
The tones included in this pack are exactly the same tones you can hear in the official demo videos—no post-processing, no external effects, no tricks. What you downloaded is precisely what was demonstrated before purchase.

Preset packs are starting points, not magic buttons. Results can vary depending on:

Guitar and pickups

Output level settings

Monitoring system (FRFR, headphones, speakers)

Global EQ and gain staging on the device

Comparing them to factory presets is a matter of personal taste, not proof of poor quality or fraud.

If the tones sound different on your setup, we are always available to help with proper loading, gain staging, and optimization for your rig. Many customers do this and achieve excellent results.

Throwing €20 “in the trash” without asking for support is your choice—but calling a legitimate product and company a scam is simply incorrect.
