Heartless moderators and members

They penalize people for presenting actual facts, then ban them when someone on the same server (and thus the same IP address) opens an account to see how to help. They don't care if they drive people suicidal, don't give an actual chance to explain, they just assume the worst and treat people like crap. The popular people in some forums treat them like their private property and complain when their feelings get hurt.

Suddenly banned without warning

I was a member of the forum for about three years. I had a blog and posted it on the forums. I was never censored, but the other day found out I was banned. Do not know why. I was never told over that time that I did anything wrong. I never noticed any real problems, but am surprised and saddened at some of the reviews.

So my experience was good there until I was banned.

Regrets

I operated purely on Worthy.

I can't hold the site in complete distaste. Being a newer Christian, I wanted to explore various concepts and read the Bible first, before I ever stepped through any church door. Idea being to shop around. You never buy a used car without having the know how on how to spot deficiencies, so church should be the same. Thus I joined Worthy, as a way to see multiple viewpoints and learn. In this sense, I did learn and there were many helpful individuals on the site whom I have no issue with. I was there for years, after all, and acquired a fair few member points under my name (essentially when people like your post). I was never too high up, however.

My issue instead is with staff and a few practices from members. I had noticed a number of views being expressed over the years that stood out as uncommon among the rest. These were interesting to me as, in my view, we were all just trying to seek truth and differing ideas are helpful in that. However, these people would often be labelled. Their names would receive different colors, and I took notice that their posting would be restricted and often had people dogpiling on them. The staff were rather self-interested in this respect. It's a lot less that you're invited to discussion, you're invited to listen and only continue if you start repeating what they say.

Another peculiar annoyance were all of the domestic abuse or adultery posts. Women wanting help with an abusive husband, or a husband who is actively cheating on her. The overwhelming response by the users is to just "live by example". Take it quietly and do your duty as a wife, pray and perhaps he will mend his ways. No. That's not how it works. You're erasing these victims and thinking only of their others. Nobody deserves to be treated poorly. I bit my tongue initially on these posts, but I eventually broke my silence. Thus began the various silencing of my voice. This was not the only topic either; I'd try to speak out on various things I disagreed with.

You see, they'll deny it, but they will put you in time out if they feel you've got out of step. I think the amount of points I had saved me a few times. Especially when I decided to simply give up on the site. You see, this back and forth had been going on for months. I'd just be silenced. I'd not get a warning from staff, there was no communication. I'd just have to sit, unable to post for a few days, I believe in the hope that I would "learn my place". That said, contention here came down to the fact that the site has no "Delete Account" button. You have to ask a mod. So I did so. I asked multiple mods. Put in multiple tickets. All asking, as politely as possible, to delete my account.

Nothing. I dont know if they wanted me to continue as I once did or something, but all I was ever met with was silence. After a few weeks of this? I took it to the open forums themselves, to force their hand. I posted a thread explaining that I'd like to leave, and the lack of response on mods part. It only lasted a few minutes before being deleted by a mod. So I made another thread stating that if they wanted to play hardball, I'll give them a deadline to delete my account or else I'd start posting offensive & vulgar things. Not right to do by any means, but I'll admit to have become angry at this point.

Deleted. Not only that, but they deleted my entire comment history. However, leaving my account intact. They still didn't delete me, for some reason. This lead to a number of days where I was either able to post something vulgar onto someone's thread, or I was put under "your posts will need to be approved by a mod". I was attempting to jostle the mods, but in that, I exposed a number of people to a lot of vile things. People who were not involved and did not deserve that treatment from me; To anyone who knows me for this incident, I apologize. Unless you're WCF staff. Then you deserved so much more. After 3 days, they relented and deleted my account in full.

The extra star is purely for the learning experience and the few lovely people on the site whom I had no issue with. I however cannot and do not recommend anyone to join this site. The only fellowship you'll find is either a rod or a chain.

I have a Serious Mental Illness,.With Generalized Anxiety Disorder and I am also a Christian very much so I'm my heart and soul. I was trying to explain my understanding of how the increases in Social Security Disability are managed under different administrations,.And was met with a lot of push back on my personal understanding of it.
I have been deemed disable for almost twenty years now, and have been on Disability for at least ten.
I was met with a ban, Without an explanation and offered a type of "blog", but unable to post in the forums ever again.
Aside from that I am disabled with a brain disorder, and incapable of managing my own type of blog,.There is specifically a place for people with Mental Illnesses who are also Christians,.to talk to each other and support each other, as Christians with Disabilities and Mental difficulties.
I am now deplatformed,.Basically canceled, and silenced, And unable to communicate with any Christians going through disorders such as mine.
This would almost be worthy of an American's with Disabilities Act violation, I believe.
The worst part of having a Mental Illness, Is people expecting you to not act like you have a Mental illness. Heartbroken. By Christians,.And a Christian place. <\3.

Presence of Antisemitism and Significant Deception By Moderation Team

In coming to this forum board, my primary goal was to interact with Messianic Jews and Gerim (practisioners of Messianic Judaism), who had a specific area on the forums, which was protected (in theory) by a Statement of Purpose that prevented unwanted intrusion by other. Unfortunately, often in spite of the SoP, people who were not Messianic would freely intrude and begin "teaching/correcting" Messianics in clear violation of the SoP.

When I brought this behaviour to the attention of the moderators by way of their support ticket system, I was rudely confronted with the admonishment that these were "christian" forums and that Messianics (which they erroneously consider christians) ought not be offended and understand their place.

I was seriously puzzled by this behaviour from those who are supposed to defend and promote the rules as written, so I started examining the other portions of the forums, without posting in them. What I found was the unfettered expression of antisemitism and supercessionism as espoused by many christian participants on the forums. Insults and denigration against the Jews in particular were rampant. Defense of the Holocaust made me drop my jaw. It was disgusting!

I started reporting much of it, using the built-in feature of the forum board. What ended up happening was the removal of my ability to report such posts. Going to the moderating team bore no fruit in the restoration of the feature for me.

Later on, I chose to express my personal indignation concerning this in the commentary of my forum profile, which is not visible to anyone except those specifically and intentionally viewing my profile. Nevertheless, when I became too outspoken - even in a more private setting - the comments that offended the moderation team were removed. Again, when I pointed out specifically how my comments on my personal profile page were not in violation of the letter of the ruleset, the moderation team denied my appeal.

Now, in the absence of any other means to directly report behaviour on the forum board that I find incorrect or objectionable, my only recourse was to use the reaction feature of the forums. When a moderator, who said he was Messianic but was actually in the habit of changing his religious afiliation on a whim and often, received a reaction from me regarding one of his posts that mis-characterised Messianic Judaism, I used the "Funny" reaction, as there wasn't a "You're out of your mind" reaction to offer. Once again, my appeal to the confronting moderator was denied.

To review:

- I can't "rock the boat" with genuine commentary concerning my own faith expression.
- I can't complain when the SoP protecting the only section of the forums that I do post in violated on a regular basis (or, at least, not in a way that would cause any measure of change).
- I can't report offensive posts.
- I can't comment on my personal profile page without my comments being given scrutiny that other participants are not subjected to.
- I seemingly have to take antisemitism and supercessionism on the chin, because it's a christian forum board.
- I can't even give a reaction to a post without undue scrutiny and offense.

Given the other reviews about this site that I have read, there is a serious and draconian undertone that I am seeing here. The moderators that confront me are MINOs (i.e. Messianics In Name Only), and I believe that they are being strategically-used by the higher-ups in the moderation team to ward off suspicion, so as to throw off suspicion regarding the antisemitism and supercessionism that exist on the board as an undercurrent.

Something is very seriously wrong here.

All Christian Forums are nests for Heretics.

There is no "christian" forum, not one in '2021, that isn't a nest of heretics, moderated and owned, by the same.

Ive been on them all. I've worked diligently on every christian forum you can find....including "Worthy", and all the incarnations of "christian forums.com.net"... Even the most recent like ChristianforumChat...is the same... They are are moderated by people who are "pre-destined" elect, heretics, or they are built around some type of "water baptism is how you are saved", Catholic cult, nonsense.

"Worthy Christian Forum" is owned by a heretic who will tell you that he wants heretics to come to his forum, so that "all ideas are shared". And He will tell you that his concept regarding how his forum should operate, is based on "how religious Jews in Israel" talk about biblical ideas". Note, that religious Jews are Christ rejectors.

Christian forums are where you want to go, if you want to talk and teach about the Cross, Pauline Theology, and get banned, as you will get banned for arguing against water cult heresy and predestined elect heresy, and other Cross denying theology.....as all christian forums are indoctrinated and moderated by these devil led heretics. If you are reading this and you are a new Christian, then dont go to any Christian forums, as they will destroy your faith in Christ and teach you that you can lose your salvation, and ruin your faith for life.

Im sorry that i can't lead you to even one Christian Forum that wont harm real faith, but, there are none. Ive been on them all, multiple times, for the last 10 + yrs, and they are ALL a next of heretics run by owners and mods that are the same. And if you know your New Testament and understand the Grace of God and the Cross of Christ, you will be attacked on all Christian Forums for arguing against heresy. And you will be banned, and they will enjoy it.

The moderators permit bullying

The moderators permit bullying, as long as the bully is clever about how they manage it. Derision and cruelty is allowed, as long as you function within their set rules. A real shame, considering how professional and user-friendly and tech-savvy the site is. It could have been awesome.

I'm on BOTH Christian Forums and WORTHY....but I see "the handwriting on the wall" and it won't be long until I'm banned...I've had 3 warnings on CF and WORTHY put me in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT for nearly a week.

I joined the site around 7 years ago

I joined the site around 7 years ago, but now have been banned. Seems that the mods don't even abide by the many rules that they themselves create, which makes it impossible for regular members to abide by them. Simply challenge a claim made by a member about Covid, and you get a warning for denying the pandemic, which is against the rules. Explain yourself to the moderator that you weren't denying the pandemic, and they change the accusation to something that you weren't even accused of. And yes, just like KarateCowboy said in the previous review (and who I often spoke to on the site before he too was banned), it was the moderator named FreeinChrist who was the unreasonable one.

To be fair, there were other Christians on the site that would offer uplifting and helpful advice when asked. One disappointment though is that every single thread--even ones simply talking about theology--turned into a debate that went off track. It made me wonder if even Christians could ever talk about anything without it turning into a fight. Naturally, the political threads turned into a fight each and every time. But the theology threads should certainly remain civil. There always seemed to be certain members that had to appear on every thread to turn every topic into a heated debate. Even more disappointing is that the mods allowed some of the biggest offenders to remain active even after being reported a dozen times or more for clear violations of site rules while I was banned for practically nothing. It seems to me that the troublemakers were welcome to remain active as long as they were causing problems for Christian members, even though mocking, goading, flaming and other disrespectful behavior was supposedly against the rules.

I used to find the site rather addictive and it was a bummer to get banned. However, reading the reviews of others here gives me more of a feeling of liberation. So, thank you to all the reviewers here for that.

Could be great but "one bad apple..."

Like others here I ran afoul of moderator FreeInChrist. She reads malevolent tone into your writings when there is none. Looking back, moderators doing that may be the cause of the bulk of problems on that site. I wrote to her, telling her I was happy that I finally understood better where she was coming from. Something she had said made things 'click' and I got it. I told her I may not completely agree but at least now I can better understand and prevent missteps. She responded with one-liner "And sarcasm like that is exactly why you have problems on this site". I wrote back saying I wasn't being sarcastic and I politely asked her to reread my message without the sarcasm. She said no and then perma-banned me from the site, ending my 17 year tenure there. "Enough with the snark. This is a supported by the administration". Couldn't bother to even spell correctly.

I would like to give the site a more kind rating. There are some very good people there including moderators. Years ago, before it was sold, I made friends all around the world that I've met IRL and still contact today. There are sub-sections of the site that are very beneficial for people looking for faith community and discussion and even emotional and psychological support. However, for me, one bad apple really does spoil the barrel.

Way over moderated, and allows false gospels to be taught.

CF is a lot like someone gave the responsibility of moderating a website to a group of 12 year olds, and they thought more moderation was equal to better moderation. They not only way over moderate, but its as if they have the mentality of a 12 year old in the area of dealing with people.

You can bet these mods aren't nearly as good in real life as they expect you to be as posters, and it would pay for them to remember the beam in their own eyes. I have no doubt they would have ban Christ himself for life very quickly. I know because I have been warned more than once for merely repeating what Christ said, or teaches. It's really quite bizzare.

One of the mods named hammster has a very bad/short temper, falls apart very easily, and from what Ive seen, should never be allowed to moderate others as he has to tough a time moderating even himself. He pushes predestination, and if you dare get the best of him, watch out, he will use his position as a moderator for payback, and as means to get rid if anyone who opposes him. Very dirty, and vindictive moderator, but not surprising since his particular gospel allows him to act as he does without concern.

An example, he started a thread to push his predestination, he clearly couldn't defend it and it showed....badly. He later removed the fairly lengthy thread to hide that fact, or to hide the truth.

Clearly, the site condons the teaching of false gospels, something that should never be allowed on a true Christian website.

My suggestion is to debate the false teachings, as they are easily refuted, but be careful, false prophets will seek vengeance for showing them up, and report you the first chance they get, and the mods will turn a blind eye to vindictive reporters, and pretend it doesnt even exist.

Why? Becsuse they refuse to see the problems there as it will take some doing to fix, asnd they would rather be lazy and pretend everything is just fine...denial.

Very unchristian like people to be running a Christian website.

White Nationalist forum masquerading as a Christian forum

All that it takes is looking at the front page of Christian Forums to see that it has no respect for Christ. It's blasphemous and shameful. They have no respect for facts and pridefully believe the truth is whatever they want it to be. They believe the Bible is filled with conspiracy theories and therefore it is righteous to promote conspiracy theories. They claim to have banned QAnon conspiracies but yet frequently not only allow them but reward those who post them by featuring them. Really the rule is so that anyone discussing the damage caused by those conspiracies is flagged for violating that rule. IOW it's perfectly fine by them to promote QAnon delusional conspiracies so long as you don't actually write out the word QAnon but if you do write QAnon to discuss consequences of their actions, that's the violation.

The moderators promote any thread that is racist, bashes Democrats, women, or the young; disrespects President Biden (who the staff childishly call "Joe"); is anti-vaccine or otherwise anti-science. If they actually feature a thread that has to do with the Bible, it's not about what Jesus preached but rather about end times.

Hands down, worst excuse for a Christian forum anywhere on the Net

More than 10 years ago now, probably more like 15 to 20, when I first got online I found CF.
I joined and for a very brief time was highly pleased. The atmosphere was everything you'd think a group of Christians discussing the Bible and Christ would, should, be like. Peace filled, friendly, welcoming.
When I'd finish visiting for the day I'd leave and feel like my feet weren't even touching the floor. It was that wonderful.

Then I had computer issues and was offline for awhile. When I got back I went back to CF.

At first I thought I got the domain wrong. Maybe it wasn't, .com. Maybe it should have been, .org?
No, I had the right site.
In just a few days all the positives at that site were erased.
When I logged off I had a knot in my gut. I kept it up for about two weeks thinking it would be back to normal. Never was.
Turns out it was sold while I was away. And the person who bought it was presumably Catholic. New members were on as moderators and administrators.
Then it was sold again and to an atheist family.

The one constant? A "woman" (who knows? It is the Net), calling herself Brinny. She claims to work as a 911 operator. My experience of her posts is she's not smart enough to be a 911 operator.
However, stopping in as a lurker from time to time all these years, she's still there!

This site is owned and operated by an atheist family from what is said of it, and at other review sites as well.
They buy busy Christian forums for the revenue stream that occurs due to advertising sales. CF is loaded! But that's why God made Ad Blocker. ;-)
They also sell your email address after you've registered.

There is no light of Christ at CF. I wonder if we pray hard enough God will send a hacker to wipe them off the Net?

Seriously those who are owners, and the mod's and admin's are all family, are seriously flawed! There's a rule against "goading".
What is goading? Anything any moderator or administrator wants to claim it is in order to harass someone they target.

They are NOT Universalists!
Worthy Christian Forums is another site they presumably own. WCF's "Administrator", and supposed owner is a guy named George. He claims to live in Israel but he actually lives in Arkansas.
Same deal. Atheists whose hobby is baiting and assailing Christians in print. While making money off add revenue, email SPAM companies, and junk mailers and cold call companies. Those occur if you send them money for the "ministry" George has. Yes, he ministers to his worldly needs as a Capitalist.
Meanwhile, do know this. Whenever you support a forum of any kind with your CC or Debit card, or even through PayPal, those sites are given your full contact information. Name, address, phone number.

I went back to CF a few years later to see if it had changed. "Free In Christ", is a staple there. And boy is she evil.
I ticked her off in a post and she replied in a way that would allow anyone else to be banned! Guess what?
I logged off. This was before I started using a VPN.
The next day my computer was blue screen nightmare.
Turns out I was sent a virus and didn't even know it.
They have tech wizards at that site. And CF was the only place I visited that day before.

If you're a Christian don't join CF, Worthy, or even Christian Chat. Christianity Haven is another one but they're strong Calvinists, which they don't forewarn you about before joining. When they glean you're not a Calvinist they Troll you.
I don't know if the atheist family owns that one.
Basically, if you find a busy Christian forum, you can tell by the posts per day, this family either owns it or will. Again, because busy sites bring in money.

Check out reviews for those sites I mentioned and CF as well. Disgruntled people will vent far more and longer than happy people. CF, WCF, CC, have plenty of the former out there.

God Bless.

Banned for posting good quality content in the wrong place. Married people cannot post to singles apparently. It was woman to woman advice on her love interest and she needed advice about her relationship. I was unaware of the "rules" apparently and it was just an accident. I am a Christian and enjoy my fellowship and religious discussions. They worship the Blank pamphlet, not the Word of God. May the Lord have mercy on their Souls.
