Back in the day The Chronicle was a must for all things NUFC. I don't bother with it now due to misleading cliickbait headlines and articles that contain very little information. I find it better to watch Eddie Howe's news conferences and the club website for factual information.

Cant access website now as it says I have no FREE ARTICLES LEFT. what an absolute joke.

Is there a worse website in existence than this piece of garbage? I doubt it. The pop up adverts drive me (and many others) insane. I want to read the news! Not some cr*p advert that has no relevance to me. Also, why is the lead story about some loser criminal? I predict that this rag will be a goner in a year or two

As a local to Newcastle its so disappointing that the main local new outlet is such garbage
The Web site is full of ads jumping around, the content is 95% click bait and the actual writing content is often unreadable, rambling articles leading nowhere

What a nose dive from the past

Unusable without an ad blocker. Website frequently crashed. Reporters with a lack of rudimentary English writing skills and appalling grammar.

Revenge of 1990's dial-up Internet pop-up's. This site will actively block it's own stories in a pathetic attempt to get you to sign-up ( paid subscription ) for this shite! Anyone got a NTL modem you could lend me?

It used to be a good paper.
A long time ago, when there were more like Gibbo!
Seems like after their own little takeover they went downhill rapidly.
I often wonder if any of the REAL bosses take the time to read fans comments in the “Sports/Newcastle United click bait.
What are the rates of pay for these people.
I sometimes wish a Newcastle U it’s would take over the Chronic too and get some good reporters, get some real stories to read.

The news info on over 70s drivers is fake news the government has no plans to alter the regulations for over 70s

Content is often pretty good if you spend an hour going be trying to reload the page after each crash. Eventually it just fails completely and you have to start again.

Awful website. It's pretty much unusable and jumps around, randomly zooming in and out. It's been going down hill for years. I'll not click on another news story by the chronicle

Just tried again, even worse now, jumping around to the point you cant read anythinv at all then eventually it fails to load and goes off alltogether. Useless pointless news website taken over by free ads

This used to be a good local newspaper, now it is overloaded with clickbait, adverts, stories that have nothing to do with local news, far too much reality tv show reporting from the same writer everyday, sometimes even three or four times a day and a writer writing substandard unhealthy food reviews, if the experienced writers of old could read this rubbish they'd spinning in their graves

The North east needs a new locally owned newspaper to report the local news we would like to read, Hopefully that day will come but I won't hold my breath

Wanted £ 300 just to put me nanas obituary in the paper then charged my friend a week later for his grandad £80 disgusting .

Cut and past Journalism no facts missleading headlines especially on the sports section.
used to be great read and accurate when John Gibson was the sports editor now just a guessing game and producing sensational made up headlines with no substance .
The quickest way to lose readers and advertisers as I have stopped advertising with this paper and company

What’s going on with our local paper, I used to get this paper everyday bar Sunday then it was the Sunday sun however I now use the online version or did until today.
I was clicking through when I saw the line Mbeumo signs I clicked on the chronicle link and unfortunately not to my surprise nothing about a new signing just click bait again, over recent weeks I’ve noticed this more and more.
Our once loved local paper using misleading lines, I get that they need people to click and read their articles to be paid but this type of trash was reserved for the news of the world why have they gone this route possibly as they’re owned by a London based company and money and Southern bias has taken over, bring back the likes of John Gibson or Alan Oliver proper Journalists sad to say won’t be going back until these tactics change.
