Chunkly is a Minecraft Java server host for people who want a private world with their friends, without a long contract or a confusing price list. The website is https://chunkly.net. Plans are priced in euros per gigabyte of RAM, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime. Campfire is the free tier. You can create a small Java world without a credit card and invite a few friends. When the group needs more room, plugins, or mods, you upgrade on the same panel. Village is the Budget line at €0.85 per GB of RAM per month, for vanilla and for Paper or Purpur plugin servers. Kingdom is the Premium line at €1.90 per GB per month, for heavier Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge modpacks. You pay for the RAM you choose. The price per gigabyte is written on the plans page, so there is no renamed “mega” package hiding the rate. Servers run in the European Union on NVMe storage. DDoS protection is included on paid plans. Chunkly is Java edition. Friends join a normal multiplayer address such as yourname.play.chunkly.net. Supported software includes Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, and modpacks from CurseForge and Modrinth. Paper and vanilla worlds can sleep when nobody is online and wake when someone joins. Modded worlds stay running. Chunkly is not the Chunky world-pregenerator mod. Chunkly is the hosting company. Payments are monthly subscriptions through Stripe, in euros. There is no annual lock-in. If you were charged by mistake, or the service was unusable for a real part of the month because of us, you can contact support@chunkly.net within 14 days and ask for a refund or credit. We would rather be specific than loud. We do not publish made-up uptime percentages, customer counts, or star scores. What we do state is the stack you can check: EU hosting, NVMe disks, DDoS protection, a clear euro-per-gigabyte price, a free start with no card, and monthly cancel. Setup was fast
Setup was fast. You name your world, copy the address, and your friends are in within minutes, no server-admin headache involved. NVMe storage keeps Paper worlds snappy, and DDoS protection means you don't have to worry about random disconnects. The sleep and wake system is a smart touch for budget servers, and monthly billing with no lock-in makes it low risk to try out. Overall a solid pick for a casual friend SMP, just don't expect fast support response at these prices.

Honestly wasn't expecting much given the price, but it surprised me. The panel is super straightforward to navigate, server spun up immediately, and everything just works without any hassle. No complaints so far.
