Great selection of office furniture at very competitive price. Viewing and suggestions for size of room were very helpful and sorting the order was quick and efficient. Delivery took a little longer than expected but was on time on the day and the delivery team were happy to set the furniture up in the office. Would definitely use again if the occasion arose.

Brought four office chairs here today. Excellent service.

I put a quotation request through the website and had a call back within 10 minutes, staff are very helpful and delivery was really quick! Item come as described and was in perfect condition.

Just like to reiterate they try and con you by offering you a VAT free cash option, I have since reported them to the VAT office.

Avoid! they bait you in saying theyll offer you a VAT free cash price upon delivery then want to charge £195 to DELIVER A CHAIR! and then you have to pay the full amount including VAT

Also took over a week to get back to me on my purchase

Cant help but think this is a scam

Our company purchased numerous items from this company, one of which being a coffee table. The process of receiving the purchased items was nothing short of laughable with failed promises and me having to chase time and time again just to find out when the items would be coming. Despite two deliveries they failed to bring missing parts on two occasions and took me to complain 3 times for them to send the missing items in the post (but only two of the four items). It took another complaint and excuses from their end to send the other missing pieces.

'The coffee table' I mentioned, the rep at COF called George Wormald continually told me he was waiting for the table to be shipped from one of their 'other warehouses'. After numerous complaints and weeks and weeks of waiting, it turned out that COF had already sold the table and didn't have it any more!! Despite this they took our money and dragged the saga out rather than just owning up to it.
George then stated on email that a refund had been processed... one month later, we are still waiting for the refund!
Not once throughout this shambolic experience has any person from this company apologies for their actions, the service is absolutely disgusting.
DO NOT go near this company, they lie and deceive and mislead their own customers with zero customer service to back it up.

These guys use Gumtree to pretend to be selling used furniture in specific areas though when you contact them to go and see the item, the item they are selling doesn't exist there as they are really (REVEAL!!) a warehouse that pretends to be a local seller. This abuse of the local ads system at Gumtree is rife with them and it makes it miserable for people that actually believe these people about where the item actually is. I brought this up with them in a Gumtree message and the owner just ended up trying to make fun of me in his messages.

Ironically, I was at the pub a few days back and was talking about a Herman Miller chair with a friend who had just bought one. I asked him how much and from where and he said, someone on Gumtree. I told him about this company that abuses Gumtree users by deceiving buyers as to the whereabouts of the items they sell and after showing him an ad on my phone he told me that it was the same company. I asked how the delivery went and he said it was awful. He said once they take your money (you have to phone them) then they don't care any more. He said the chair had a load of scratches on it as well. After speaking with the owner on Gumtree I can tell that their dishonesty and disrespect was likely to spill over in to other areas of their business. I personally recommend buying items off a company that is likely to have a stronger connection with the truth as you won’t find much of it here.

My old office chair had the frame snap, a friend found me a cheap chair and that literally went sideways, so needed a bums on seat shop and not an online shop.

The warehouse is in harlow and easy to find, it is not a smart funky place, but they do have lots of stuff and they know their stock.

I explained that was very close to 110kg which meant I needed a metal base instead of plastic.

Gave a price of £150 and found a couple of chairs that did not seem right, then was shown the managers chair - Easy Ergo

Fitted perfectly and did what I wanted to.

But it was twice the price and figured that was ok.
Couple of options to do with paperwork and was essentially cash only. Gave a £20 deposit and went to the local Tesco, but there was a £250 limit on withdrawals, but had some cash in the wallet so not too bad.

Got an estate car, so the fully assembled chair popped in the boot, no need for self assembly :)

Looked at the price online and there were a few companies online only who were cheaper, and some another £100 or so.

Being able to sit on the chair was the key selling point for me :)

Wanted to buy a couple of chairs for study. Cost about £270 Inc delivery each so not a small order for us but clearly not worth a sale for City Used Office Furniture. Have been given no explanation why PayPal isn't possible, just silence. Taking our business elsewhere now.

Edit after writing complaint had a call from a manager who said they didn't take PayPal due to the charges. He then offered a fair deal by credit card but couldn't guarantee a delivery date other than 5-10 working days.

Additional edit. Fortunately the manager was able to offer next day delivery for £50 however I was supposed to still receive a £15 and I have now had to chase four times for the discount. The chair arrived and it is good but there is a mark on the seat. Of course I appreciate the product is used but we should have been told the product is marked.

Also PayPal is still showing as an acceptable payment method which is fraudulent. I will be advising PayPal of this.

I finally got a refund for the overcharge after several followups.

Very poor company to work with. Communication is dismal and just kept waiting. Very unprofessional and I would never work with them again.
