Clearview Secondary Glazing Avis 

Our secondary glazing arrived promptly on the date agreed and the quality of the unit is excellent. We needed some help before installing the unit and Aaron and their service manager were extremely helpful. My husband subsequently fitted the unit without any problems and we are very pleased with the result.

I noticed our neighbours had sliding secondary glazing fitted, so I asked them about it. They recommended Clearview.
We measured up and ordered online. Within 2 weeks our 3 windows arrived. My husband used to be a window fitter so had no problem fitting them. Oh my goodness, no more heavy condensation running down the windows, no more damp walls, no more traffic noise from the main, busy road outside and no dust settling on furniture constantly! Also, the rooms feel warmer. To say I am pleased is an understatement!

The units are good, although these are manufactured and supplied by Granada. Clearview does provide several instruction guides which are helpful and make installation somewhat easy.

Having said that, their customer service is not good. I had an issue with my online order - I called everyday for a week asking for an order confirmation, they only did something about it when I started a chargeback dispute with my bank. They forgot to send the drilling help tool, I had to call two or three times for them to send it over - which took two weeks to arrive.

Good quality units, quickly and efficiently delivered - look good, work well, easy to fit. Weve now had 6 units supplied - of differing types - some sash, some horizontal sliding laminated and some single units. all good. easy to fit as long as youve followed instructions. We had a few issues to start- with calls on a Saturday answered by someone inexperienced - and no call back, and a problem with one on line order which was helpfully and rapidly sorted, but overall really pleased with great units at reasonable cost..... delivery was early - but really helpful and efficient. Overall a great experience.

It’s quite a daunting task to fit your own secondary glazing, but the team at Clearview were really helpful and gave me the confidence to do it. It was so straightforward and very pleased with the quality and overall finish of the product.

I wanted to reduce noise levels as I live in a listed building on a busy high street. The measuring guides provided are essential and easy to use (easier if your windows are square which mine aren’t). ordering online was straightforward and delivery was within the stated timeframe.
Fitting was very easy, did it myself. The only caution I would say is that you need to be aware of the trim widths if your windows are out of square. Apart from that it was straightforward. The units are well made and of good quality. Results- major reduction in noise levels (especially with the 6mm glass) so I’m thrilled with the result. I have no doubt it will be warmer and draught free this winter. Economical too With the 25% discount online. Happy man.

I do not recommend this company's products due to the poor quality of components used in their manufacture. Spring mechanism broke in vertical slider after approx 2.5 years with very little use. Company says guarentee is for 2 years only and requested £120 for replacement parts !

In reply to the company's response below. A product is only as good as it's weakest link, a 10 year guarantee is meaningless for only part of the product if it breaks after 2 years! Also to charge £120 for replacement parts is extortionate.

I have now purchased several secondary glazing units from Clearview for my hotel and they have worked brilliantly. The units are high quality and extremely well made. I can highly recommend Clearview.

Window delivered a week ago. The drill guide template was missing. It took over 24 hours for a response from Clearview after my initial call to report this. Apologies accepted from Clearview and one is ‘in the post- first class’. Still waiting. Today I emailed suggesting that they put one in the post gteed next day delivery (why wasn’t this the first response solution?). No reply to my email. Hopefully the product is better than the service although with such a low bar that shouldn’t be difficult.

Excellent service from start to finish and fantastic product. Cannot fault the product or customer service at all.

At this time I cannot recommend Clearview having had a very good purchasing experience back in October.
However, 9 days ago one of the units buttons for opening the double glazing suddenly broke, leaving us unable to access the exterior window which is open.
They have failed to respond to my report of this with a solution so I am under-whelmed. Let's hope they will now sort it.

I have since had a response (16/1) from my chasing and for some reason their standard procedure is to have a photo since which I said was unnecessary as it adds no value. I maintain that it was unnecessary and poorly communicated when I told them it was unnecessary.

My second review of this company. Another batch of secondary glazing units with sliding windows. Very pleased with the ordering process, the communications, and the quality of the product. After fitting, found a small problem with one of the catches. Customer services responded very quickly and sent out a replacement which solved the problem. (Thank you Aaron.) You can tell a good company by the way it responds to unforeseen issues. Will use again.

A really friendly, helpful and caring company that provides well-made and -conceived products. We saw a significant reduction in noise as a result of our window, though the installation itself was a little bit fiddly. But they were genuinely so helpful throughout the whole process, and a really decent and honest bunch.

The product worked in keeping out the noise and once fitted, they were snug and looked OK. My only issue was in the quality of manufacture; fixing holes drilled in the wrong place, holes not countersunk. I had to re-drill my own and due to a lack of space, could not countersink them, so had to put the holes off-centre so they didn't interfere with the window movement. On the whole, I expected better as the window was not cheap. As an experiment it worked, secondary double glazing does a great job of cutting out the noise, just don't think I'll be buying again.
