John came out to advise me on a summerhouse that I want to use as a place to relax and entertain friends.

It was well worthwhile because the idea I had in my head for positioning, and how we would get electricity in etc, was completely flawed.

John came out and advised, and even went away and did a computer mockup of how my cabin should be laid out.

There's nothing that John doesn't know about building cabins which I believe helped me avoid many of the pitfalls I could have experienced if I went with another company.

I was initially a bit nervous about making contact, but Clever Built Cabins were really easy to deal with and completely pressure free. The cabins are beautiful, the pricing was clear and easy to understand, and the team were very knowledgeable. We know John through the hutting community in Scotland and reached out when my dad’s hut was in poor shape. Being in his 70s, he couldn’t manage a rebuild himself, and most companies weren’t interested due to how remote the site was. John and the team were more than happy to help and were incredibly patient, especially with my dad. The support and understanding made the whole process much easier, and we’re really thankful for that.

After a long wait and finally getting our allotment plot, we wanted something nicer than just a shed as we’d been lucky to get quite a large space. We started looking into cabins and the Arran really caught our eye with the overhang, which would be perfect for the plot. As we’re new to allotments and still building up our DIY skills, we had plenty of questions. Alana was lovely on the phone and John gave us clear, patient advice when we weren’t sure about things like roof shingles.
