The most expensive mistake I have made

The most expensive mistake I have made in developing my business was trusting CloudCart – after paying a total of €2,228.39, my online store was never active for a single day.

During the sales process, I was contacted multiple times by phone with a “limited-time” offer for a design service, presented as including structural and navigation changes to the store. The existing templates did not meet our needs, which is why I agreed and paid for the service in advance.

After making the payment, I received a questionnaire and information that significantly differed from what had been presented beforehand. The revised scope included a ready-made template and limited elements (e.g., banners), but did not include the promised structural and navigation changes, which turned out to be available only at an additional cost.

I immediately contacted their representative, and later managers, requesting cancellation and a refund, but my request was not accepted. This was followed by numerous calls from their side. Eventually, since we were already subscribers, they offered to replace the service with a setup/configuration service of significantly lower value.

At a later stage, when attempting to continue working, it became clear that changes had been made to the subscription plans, including reduced customer support, without being clearly communicated in advance. According to their terms, they reserve the right to change pricing and services, which in practice leaves the client bound to changing conditions without explicit notification.

Throughout this entire period, the online store was never actually built. The available templates and page builder have significant limitations and do not allow the initial concept to be implemented. After investing €2,228.39 and receiving no meaningful progress or solutions, we decided to stop working with them, as the risk of further costs without results became unacceptably high.

Over the course of several years, I communicated with multiple representatives of the company, yet no clear responsibility was taken and no real solution was offered for the discrepancy between what was sold and what was delivered. Communication often turned into a situation where I had to defend my position, rather than working towards a constructive resolution.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with them and would strongly advise others to proceed with extreme caution.

Worst support ever

Worst support ever. 1 week to read your ticket, answer with a question, wait 1 more week to read your answer, and so on.
2 months to set a standard card payment. And that is after I paid extra for this service.
