We’ve progressed to Dog Trainer School Level 2!
Today was close obedience work . Ben explained and demonstrated the manoeuvres with Aoife our pup, then we had a go. Fun learning with plenty of encouragement. Practising several times. We had take-home notes as well so we can carry on learning at home.

Ben’s class on Tuesday was great fun. Nice weather meant we were able to train outside. We covered loose lead walking, sit stay, and recall. Although excited Aoife concentrated well, and passed her Level 1 Obedience!
Good to train with the added distractions of being out of doors.

Ben’s wealth of canine knowledge brought the best out in our 16 week old spaniel, setting her up to be a lovely mannered and well trained little dog and leaving us with some good tips and info to enable us to keep her training ongoing as she grows .

I attended a PAYG session and it was fantastic. Having worked with Ben doing 1:1 sessions previously, it was great to practice training with his help and support again. Nova, my retriever-pointer rescue, has come on so much with Colne Valley Dogs. The session was also great as it allowed me to introduce Nova to other dogs ( thank you Nell's owners) with the guidance of Ben, giving me more confidence to use the strategies taught when we are out and about. Nova loved the session, especially having a go at the agility. I had a very tired dog and the end of the evening. We will definitely be booking again.

Our first night at ‘Pay as you go’ dog training. What an excellent idea!! Good practice sessions and ideas with plenty of 1-1 advice. Ben is friendly and attentive and has lots of useful knowledge. Nell had a great time. We will definitely be back! 🐾

What can we say! We contacted Ben a few months ago regarding training my anxious Romanian rescue in order to be able to find a suitable pet sitter for our wedding. We did the 6 week training course, and Paddy took to Ben so quickly that we have decided to sign him up for regular walks. Ben is fantastic, really in tune with our dogs, and we also ended up booking him in to look after them for our wedding. Ben goes above and beyond and is always happy to help when we have questions or concerns. We couldn’t recommend Colne Valley Dogs Ltd enough. We’d be lost without you! Thank you!

Just completed a 6 week puppy course with Ben.
As new dog parents we were nervous about attending classes. The knowledge, skills Ben has has given us confidence to enjoy training and watch our puppy develop. Support didn't stop at the weekly session, Ben has responded to any questions we had in-between the sessions and provided recaps and handouts after each session.
We chose to go to Ben for the training because he is an experienced qualified dog handler and trainer. Thank you Ben..

We've been using Colne Valley Dogs for the past year and I'm so pleased with the service and grateful to Ben for his patience and understanding. Our dog can be challenging at times and has struggled to settle within group walks. Ben's been brilliant, he's kept us well informed and has worked with us to try and find the right environment for our dog, who is now extremely settled and happy which is lovely to see.

I've recently attended the 4Paws training walk run by Ben and this was brilliant. Training in an outdoor setting around other dogs and distractions was perfect for working on my dogs behaviour. I'm very much looking forward to participating in more of these training sessions.

My Cocker Spaniel has been walked by Ben for over 7 months now and I’m so happy with the service that he offers. Woody’s confidence around other dogs has improved enormously since walking with Ben. The walks are varied, stimulating and enriching and the photos that Ben posts after every walk show very happy dogs loving life! Delighted!

Ben has recently given our Labrador Retriever Chester 1-1 loose lead training, as our boy was a devil for pulling us like a train. Both me and my partner had tried all sorts previously and failed. However, thanks to Ben, we have seen a massive improvement in our walks that are now becoming a lot more enjoyable. Thanks so much Ben 👏 if we lived in the Colne valley area we would have definitely used his services as a dog walker!

Our experience with Colne Valley Dogs and Ben especially has been great so far. Thorough introduction, amazing communication, our pooch always seems to have had a fun time and Ben is very knowledgeable and we trust him with our Ruby. I’m sure the pooch counts down the days to her weekly walks with Ben and the Spaniel gang! Definitely would recommend to others.

I count my lucky stars that Rupert and I found Colne Valley Dog Training and Walking. Ben is absolutely amazing. We have recently attended the Puppy Skills 6 week course and I can not recommend it highly enough. Ben understands not only how dogs learn but also how their owners learn, he is so patient and encouraging. I am a novice dog owner and have been on a steep learning curve getting to know my little fella and Ben gave me the best advice to just enjoy my puppy and that gave me such confidence. The training sessions were very well organised and engaging for us both, each step broken down into clear steps and information on how to progress as your puppy develops. He has imparted lots of words of wisdom and his passion for dogs and their welfare just shines through. Rupert also thoroughly enjoys his walk and social time and he utterly loves Ben who has taken time to get to know him and build his trust.

Choosing someone to care for your dog is a huge thing as there are many people out there but not all are a match for our canine family. My young dog has been with Ben since February 24 and it’s the best choice we made, we know he is in safe hands. Scooby is a young big dog but has come on in leaps & bounds and enjoys socialising within a well matched group. He adores Ben & is happy to snub us in his presence. We can’t thank Ben enough for offering this top notch service. The information given after each walk is invaluable and the varied hikes make sure we have a happy dog 🐕🐾

Ben and Colne valley walking has been a major game changer for my boy ozzy’s dog walks. Ozzy is reactive to other dogs and I was worried this might affect how he gets on but Ben has been amazing with him and looks like ozzy is really enjoying his walks with him. I also love that he doesn’t just take him to 1 spot each walk and his able to go and see the world when I have to commute to work. Having the reports is also amazing and something I haven’t seen before from other dog walkers. Its great to see where and how they have been. Thanks so much Ben!

Ben has been walking Molly, my Cockapoo, and I have no hesitation in recommending him. She was so excited to see him and slept soundly after her walks! I always got a map of where they’d been, distance and how long and also some great photos 🙂

Ben at Colne Valley Dog Walking is without exception the best dog walker I have ever had, I can’t recommend him highly enough. I had full reports and photographs every time they went out which I found to be very reassuring while I was away. Initially Ben came round for us to both meet and he put me at ease straight away. I have found him to be extremely professional, punctual, friendly and most important of all he has a love for dogs. I will certainly use him again in the future, thank you Ben!

Ben is an experienced dog handler and very thorough dog walker. Our dog Easton, is always besides himself with excitement when Ben arrives and we get a follow up written report so we can see how Easton was on his walk and where he had been walked. Very pleased with Colne Valley Dog Walking service

Ben doesn't just walk Woody, he plays enrichment games, varies where they walk and makes sure he has the best time. His daily reports show his commitment and genuine interest in Woody. I highly recommend him, thanks Ben.
