Doing the Colour Mixing course has meant that I have re-engaged with my painting in a different way. Emma explains everything very clearly and already I have learnt so much and am only half way through!
I have got a new sketchbook now and am using it in a way I never did when I was a full time art student. Working with colour and picking it all apart was something I was never taught and it's invaluable to now learn these skills. I am looking forward to completing the rest of the course and hope Emma does more in the future - I would certainly sign up to them! Highly recommended course - excellent!

This is the course every amateur artist wishes they'd had sooner. If you ever thought red and blue makes purple/violet, you need this course! The part on the colour wheel is incredibly helpful. It's also sharpened my observation skills - seeing the myriad of shades of colour in any image/subject.This will revolutionise my art. Plus, colour mixing is great fun!

The online colour mixing tutorials course from Bradness Gallery has been such an eye opener for me as I am now able to understand and practise mixing colour in a whole new way. I have no formal art training and how to use and mix my own colours has always been a bit of a stumbling block but following Emma’s clear and straightforward demonstrations have given me the confidence to try this colour mixing magic myself! The course also provides a mine of information on colour techniques and usage and is excellent value for money as it can be watched again and again to refresh the memory.

I enrolled for Emma Burnett's Colour Mixing Tutorial and have been so impressed by the huge range of expert content. Emma is a professional artist and also married to a professional artist and their wealth of knowledge and talent is evident from the comprehensive range of tutorials. The course provides a valuable fundamental foundation which includes so many varying topics and even the psychology behind of not being able to fail. Her buoyant enthusiasm for the subjects just make you want to read on and keep watching the interesting tutorials. The title doesn't do justice to the incredible knowledge and passion Emma conveys. I highly recommend this course even if you think you know the basics, there really is so much more to learn.

I’m really enjoying being able to dip into this course whenever I have a few minutes to spare and especially when I need a bit of inspiration for new painting projects. As well as the course being highly practical, Emma explains the theory in a really accessible way and I have found that my increasing understanding has made a real impact on my ability to mix more subtle and complex colours. I’ve just been looking at the section on mixing pastel colours and am now looking forward to experimenting with colours I currently don’t have much experience in using.
I would highly recommend this really comprehensive and great-value course to anyone wanting to develop their colour knowledge and confidence.

Emma is a brilliant teacher and makes colour mixing clear, simple and easily understandable. The course is very informative and covers a huge range of detail all of which can be broken down into sections which can be watched as and when you have time. If like me things slip from your mind you can go back and check although information is repeated helping you to retain the information. Emma's extensive knowledge and enthusiasm is contagious and insipiring. I would thoroughly recommend this course for both beginers and more experienced artists. It's most enjoyable.

Emma recommended that I take this course in preparation for the 2-day abstract painting course I had already booked. I was apprehensive about another commitment but wanted to get the most from the abstract course; however, Emma was very reassuring and the online course can be followed in stages, as much or as little as you wish in session - and, of course, you can so easily repeat all or part of any section, which is an invaluable feature. Once enrolled I found the course content an absolute revelation: packed with information and knowledge new to me but all shared in a gradual and accessible way and clearly explained. Emma also assures you that key points will recur in later sections so you don't need to absorb everything at once. Each stage is covered in a variety of ways, including video with voiceover, text, photos of paintings, quotations and articles and when Emma tells you about mixing different colours, she demonstrates these as you watch and encourages you to acquire your own materials to try for yourself. The course content is as wide-ranging as the teaching methods: not only tutorials but sections on student support, materials, equipment etc and Emma is very responsive should you need further advice or help. Above all it feels exactly like what it is: a unique course devised from personal experience, knowledge and skills by someone keen to share these in an engaging and enjoyable way. I absolutely love the course and the sense of excitement and enthusiam it inspires.

I signed up to Emma's colour mixing tutorials as I have previously taken her 2 day colour mixing course and want to learn more. Emma's enthusiasm is infectious and she's very encouraging. These tutorials are in manageable lengths that you can dip into. She makes the subject easy to understand and shows lots of examples. I am part way through the course and am about to start the practical lessons. I'm really enjoying the course.

A well thought out and lovingly crafted volume of work. It carefully leads you on a journey of discovery if you are new to the subject, but is equally easy to dip in and out of the material as a refresher. Excellent value and thoroughly rewarding.

I'm loving this course! I never knew I could create so many gorgeous shades of colour. It's so fascinating and enjoyable watching colours transform by adding tiny amounts of other colours. Emma's enthusiastic and lively explanations and demonstrations are easy to understand and follow along. This is a fabulous, eye-opening course (literally)!

The value for money this course offers is staggering. The wealth of information is comprehensive and in depth around the subject. To date I have only covered a few of the modules but already I have learnt so much.
