They charged us 170.00 for the privilege of using our 3k. They said the account was inactive, and it was legal for them to steal our money, via a fee.

It's a your not using your money fast enough fee, so we will take some of it, because we can.

There is legal, then there is what's right. They refused to wave the fee charge.

This stealing/fee being legal is a great example of the banking industry paying off DC crooks to allow them to raid your account.

Needless to say we did not make the deposit we was there to make, and will make no more.

This bank is all about what they can steal from you, via fees, rather than taking care of you.

They are riding on Umpquas reputation, but I see that won't last. Their many bad reviews are catching up to them. Their mask is coming off, and it is ugly.

My advice is just drive on by and save yourself the frustration, and likely money.

I must say I got to read quite a few of the reviews about this Bank and my opinion is the same which is not good at all. So I have a family member who Banks here and they talk to me into opening account worst thing I ever did this has got to be the worst bank I have ever dealt with in my entire life and I've dealt with a few but this bank here everything is a problem I had a power of attorney for a family member this power of attorney was accepted at every place that I took it to every institution read it accepted it no problem no questions asked every institution except Columbia Bank it was a big old problem there not to mention when I went into the bank to open the account I was dealing with that particular branches manager she was very rude to say the least long story short if you want a bank at a bank and not have a bunch of issues or problems do not choose Columbia Bank by the end of the week my account will be closed in full at least I'm hoping I'm sure they'll be problems at this Bank doing a simple close seeing how everything else and I do mean everything has been a problem with this Bank if I were you go to any other bank not this one. Furthermore I was listening to the family members who also has an account at this bank about all the problems that she has went through with this Bank wouldn't you know it after a year I was finally able to talk to his family member into closing their account as well I know that moving forward I only have one question for any friends or family members who have a bank account at this Bank and that question would be why WHY???

tried to open a business account... everything went wrong and every time they tried to fix it, it got worse...short version when they proudly noted everything was finally correct, when we opened my account on the rep's computer at the branch... I had complete online access to a business account problem was it was somebody else's business... run the other way as fast as you can...
