Excellent place to get timber, especially Douglas Fir. Much better wood than the crap imported by B&Q etc. and a better price. Trees are grown, felled and sawn on the site, 100% Dorset Wood.

Conygar Timber mills and sells timber. Most of the timber we mill comes from the woodand adjacent to our sawmill. We can supply anything from battens to beams, boards, planks and posts. The woodland that we are working is a "planted ancient woodland" and we're taking out the conifers to replant with broadleaf woodland. We also carry out timber design and build projects including: cladding, pergolas, garden rooms and garages.

This is the second time we have sourced…
This is the second time we have sourced timber from Conygar, the first back in 2021 to build a 'Gazummerzed', which has now silvered beautifully. This time I outlined what we wanted to achieve and Georgia put an order together, which was delivered today by their most helpful delivery driver, who was happy to place the timber on our driveway.
A most delightful company who take pride in their products and service and supply great quality timber too boot!

Conygar sells wood not cheese.
I have become fed up having to buy sustainably sourced wood from the sheds. It is fast grown and has the consistency of cheese, and as I need to replace it way too often, it is not really sustainable.
However, I came across Conygars at the Oak fair in Dorset during August. Their display was inspiring and their wood even more so. I have since bought some for a garden project and will buy more in the future.
