Rebecca Knight (Gloucester branch) is a hero! From the moment I met her I knew I was in safe hands. Throughout the process of buying my property she was there on hand at ANY time to steer me in the right direction. I could not have asked for a kinder, more positive, enthusiastic and supportive advisor. She really went above and beyond for me, but I suspect she does that for every client. It's just who she is!

My experience buying my first home was great. I would recommend Lee Flaherty from Bristol to anyone. He goes over and above for anyone, very fast replies when you need help in a stressful situation and just in general and nice bloke. My brother was the one who told me about him and he wouldn't of wanted anyone else either.

I was referred to Countrywide Mortgages by Bairstow Eves and spoke with David Bostock. We had already received a very competitive mortgage through another broker and let David know we just wanted to know if the offer could be beaten. Although David could not ultimately secure anything materially beating our previous offer, he was extremely professional throughout. He walked us through all our options, and assured us of our situation. I'd recommend using David to anyone looking for a mortgage. Had it not been for our existing relationship with another broker we would have definitely gone forward with him.

It was a bit of a disaster really.
My previous mortgage broker had joined the organisation and as he did a great job previously I went with him to here.
Now for me, all my details should be on file already, renewal date, etc. Thats why I have stayed with the same Mortgage broker still.
Was asked countless times for wage slips of ones I have given already.
I can't say for certain what went wrong but I can say that the renewal date was missed regardless of getting all my information verified very quickly using the portals.
So I had to pay 2 months on the variable rate. With the run up to Christmas and being in my situation with two kids. It was a Sad Christmas.
It was only until I called the branch, unable to reach my broker and spoke with a lady there regarding the situation. I had a phone call back from her saying everything would be sorted and I would receive a call the next day. Instead I had a few emails and no call to confirm all went through, I had an sms message from the bank.
No official apology or anything rom the organisation what so ever. Im sure there will be something signed off in the terms and conditions no-one reads that will be quoted back to me after I submit this. Just be careful who you trust you money with.

Trying to deal with Gemma Ferguson at Doncaster is very very difficult.
Have left numerous calls and email and have received no updates at all.
Spoke to someone in the office and they said they would get her to call, still nothing.

We worked with Liam Trussler on our mortgage application and purchase, and he has been absolutely outstanding from day one.

He was always responsive, patient, and clear in every explanation — even when things became complicated. Liam kept us updated at every stage, chased the lender when needed, and made us feel genuinely supported throughout the process.

His professionalism and attention to detail gave us real peace of mind, and we honestly could not have completed this purchase without him.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Liam to anyone looking for a reliable and genuinely caring broker. Five stars without hesitation.

This organisations policies, pricing and approach needs a serious review. We paid for a lifetime service during our previous mortgage deal thinking it meant they'd help us with advice and remortgages for life. It's a total con and a waste of money. They still expect you to pay £99 each time they sign you onto a deal at the same time as being paid hundreds by the lenders. To make matters worse I advised my broker on the deal being offered by my lender for him to then attempt to charge me for signing that same deal. Joke.

There are other companies who have the exact same resources who do this for free and operate via making the money from the lenders alone. This outdated organisation are a joke and prey on people not paying full attention who don't realise they're being charged for nothing.

Oh and when I queried the £99 with my broker he claimed that he'd done 8 hours of work that "can't be done for free". Well now you don't have the £500+ from the lender either.

We thought a recommended integrated service with Beresford Adams would mean a smoother process. We are VERY glad we didn't commit to anything too soon, as Arwel at the Caernarfon office, did a initial consultation with us, requested all our documents and evidence and then never got back to us. I emailed and phoned countless times and left message and got no response. He has ghosted us for the last 9 months now and we haven't heard a peep from him. After 6 weeks of trying to get in touch we found a different mortgage advisor that actually did the job. Shocking service and very poor show.

We had a great service from Simon at Countrywide in Cannock. We got our mortgage in principle offer the day after our first meeting with him. Once we had an offer accepted he dealt with everything quickly and efficiently and everything went smoothly. He also recommended the solicitors we used and they got everything completed in 7 weeks so we couldn't be happier with the whole process.

Was recommended these by the estate agents, £700 for him to deal with everything.

Lucky to get a response once every 2 days, went and viewed houses and sent him the links and to put offers in and about time he actually did it the house was sold or already at a bid well over ours.

So far we've lost 2 houses because he was too slow putting offers in for us, we will be leaving him because if this is how they are just putting offers in what they like with everything else?

Utterly Disappointed and Stressed - Avoid This Service!
We chose to use the in-house mortgage and insurance services, hoping for a smooth and integrated experience. This turned out to be a significant mistake.
The process was anything but seamless. We experienced:
Repeated changes in mortgage consultants with no proper handover, leading to a complete restart of our mortgage application.
A failure to respond to the lender, causing unnecessary delays.
Being provided with an incorrect insurance quote.
The shocking discovery that none of the agreed-upon insurance policies detailed in the Statement of Demands and Needs were put in place, despite assurances to the contrary.
It seems that once payment is made, the service only deteriorates with each passing day. We are now in the unacceptable position of having a substantial mortgage with absolutely no associated insurance coverage. This oversight has caused us significant stress and undermines the very reason we opted for an "integrated" service.
Despite our repeated expectations for a smooth process, we encountered a catalogue of errors and omissions. Promises were made and not kept, and communication was poor. When escalated to their management, no corrective actions were taken.

Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for your mortgage and insurance needs. Our experience has been one of profound disappointment and considerable distress. We strongly advise against using this service if you value a smooth, efficient, and accurate process, especially after you've paid for it.

We are now left to urgently rectify their mistakes. Avoid the same headache.

I engaged Bridgfords Leeds for mortgage services and was required to pay over £1,000 upfront to access a “lifetime free mortgage application” scheme. Despite this significant payment, the service I received was very, very subpar.

Communication was a major issue; my calls and emails often went unanswered, leaving me in the dark about the progress of my mortgage application. The process dragged on for nearly three months, only to end in a decline without clear explanations or guidance on alternative options.

Given the substantial upfront fee and the lack of transparency and support, I cannot recommend Bridgfords Leeds for mortgage services. I hope others have a more positive experience, but I advise caution based on my own.

Rubbish company I would never recommend it to anyone. Poor service, unprofessional knowledge (they even don’t know what product I can apply for), zero responsibility.
I have had the meeting with their advisor one month before and still waiting for the right product they are finding for me. Even I have emailed them twice to chase it, they have never responded.
Just waste of my time. What a shame!

Terrible experience with Norwich & Attleborough office. Awful communication, either not responding to emails, returning calls or calling us gone 5pm so if we missed the call and called back they wouldn't answer. Broker went on holiday for 3 weeks and only told us the day before he left. Was advised someone would pick up during absence which only happened after chasing for over a week and was then told that half of the work hadn't been completed and wrong advise/information given. When said broker came back from holiday we never heard from them again. The whole process went on for 2 months. I would say they lack access to the best mortgage deals after working with another company who got us an amazing offer and had great communication throughout the process. I would not reccommend!

Andreas was my advisor on this process, and I cannot recommend him enough! He is absolutely brilliant, he made the process of buying a house extremely simple and fast and he always went the extra mile to support me in anything he could. He is honestly one of the best mortgage brokers!
