Perfect place
Went for a mini honeymoon break the day after our wedding and we couldn’t have found a better spot.
We stayed in Reflections and it was spotlessly clean. Warm. Cosy. So peaceful.
Only issue we had was no TV for the two nights we were there but this wasn’t really an issue for us as we had an iPad with us and the internet was working fine.
Highly recommended. Great contact with the people on site. Perfect place for a quiet relaxing weekend.

I am sorry to hear you did not have any TV, I m not sure if you mentioned this to the owners but I am sure they would have done their utmost to fix this for you had they been aware.
Last minute plans for a girls night…
Last minute plans for a girls night away. Booking was easy and we enjoyed our shepherds hut. There was a little mix up when we were almost charged an additional payment for hot tub use but this was quickly rectified. Would use again.

From start to finish, the service was outstanding. The team went above and beyond, offering clear directions, easy access to the cottage, parking guidance, and great recommendations for local activities, restaurants, and groceries. The cottage itself was in excellent condition and thoughtfully equipped, making for a truly enjoyable stay.

Arts and Crafts Sanctuary for Celebrating
Such a privilege to be staying in an Arts and Crafts house for a week to celebrate my 80th!! Cosy fireside chats or playing Canasta, friends and family visiting, wonderful family evening meals around the large dining table and breakfasts around the smaller kitchen table.
Yes, it was glorious to be in the Lakes and even more enchanting to be in such a house.
I won't take a star off for not having a Kenwood to make the birthday cake since the kitchen had just about everything else we would need for 10!! And all spotless...
Everyone involved said theirs was a memorable stay/perfect venue

Wonderful holiday, everything was perfect and exactly as advertised. I would definitely use this company again. We have stayed in many holiday homes in the Lake District and this was the best we have ever stayed at.

Only downsides were early checkout (9am) and taking money for security deposit with balance. However this was refunded a couple of days after departure.

Our normal check out time is 10am, however you are able to provide a check out time when you make a booking and this has been filled in as 9am. We do request breakage deposit are paid with the balance as this cuts down on the amount of admin time chasing these which helps keep our costs low. We hope we can welcome you back again to one of our cottages in the future.
Sledbank Cottage/Cottage…
We stayed in Sledbank Cottage/Cottage in the Hill from 10th - 13th September 2025 and had a wonderful time. Mike and Toni are great hosts and the attention to detail was fantastic. They kindly decorated the cottage for my partners birthday and even baked us a homemade Victoria sponge which was delicious. Thank-you so much for allowing us to use this beautiful cottage as our home base for a few days whilst we explored the lakes, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking to visit the lakes. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent Service and Communications…
CCH couldn’t have been more helpful when our accommodation had to be changed at the last minute due to an unforeseen maintenance issue. They turned what could have been a stressful and anxiety-inducing situation into a seamless transition to a lovely alternate cottage. We were all very impressed with their attention to service, their communication, and the great place they found us.

We were informed that there were a couple of marks on the bed covers which may need the professional cleaners, meanwhile they have withheld our deposit of £250, which sounds to me completely over the top. besides we wrer informed they would get back to us on the actual cost very soon, its now been 14 days and we haven't heard a word from them.

I am sorry you felt the need to leave a 1 star review but as advised we were waiting for the laundry to remove the stains on the bedding caused during your stay and advise of the costs which we have only just received. It is only on very rare occasions we need to withhold money from guests damage deposit and only for none accidental damage.

Wonderful family experience
The house was huge and so nice. There was so much to there and they provided sports games such as badminton. The house was an hour drive from the Lake District and was so clean. The swimming pool was big and secluded. The jacuzzi was amazing. My only issue is that many of the blow dryers didn’t work and the kitchen burners were really slow and weak so it would take a lot longer than usual to make food. I highly recommend this place, it was so worth the money.
