The rim tapes i bought on line and cllected from cycle king clochester had been manufactured poorly so i took them back and they were happy to change them for some good ones win win .

Popped into the Colchester store late afternoon as my chain had got tangled up in the front mech. Brilliant service, the technician managed to free the chain and adjusted the gears and in ten minutes I was on my way home.

I had an excellent experience with Cycle King Colchester. After ordering bikes online, the shop called right away to arrange collection. The staff were professional, friendly, and even helped load the bikes into the car. The bikes themselves are sturdy and great quality, and they build them for free—unlike many other shops. I’ve since bought another bike and received the same outstanding service. The owner is kind and professional. They also provide a free second service/health check after 6–8 weeks for bikes purchased in-store or collected via Click & Collect. Highly recommend!

Broke my bike shit service

Bought 2 bikes under the government’s cycle to work scheme, and it was brilliant. The staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful…everything you want from a cycle shop.

Rang up shop with enquiry,Pleasant on phone said bring the bike down,Had a look yeah we can fix this no problem,Waited whilst innertube replaced checked hydraulic brakes as well done & dusted bike backed on road very reasonable charge great service would highly recommend.

I brought my bike from cycle king they gave great advice, fitted my lights, adjusted the seat, etc.
Great prices too.

Ordered online and collected next day.
Problem found once got home, the bell seems faulty.

Cycle King Colchester replaced a broken spoke and trued a wheel for me a few years ago, and this week replaced a worn/seized hub bearing. On both occasions the price was less than the on-the-phone rough estimate, the work was done within 24 hours and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing service, a beautiful bike for my girl. I love it so much I want one for myself.

I wanted to try 2 ebikes for size, both said In Stock on their website, i now know that means any where in the country.
They had one of the bikes in the small size with i sat on & was told that that was the only size it came in ( Ampere Deluxe ), he wasn't aware that there was a bigger version that has front shocks where the smaller doesn't.
Couldn't tell me the difference between a 29 inch wheel & a 700c wheel.!!! ( I do now know by googling when i got home ).
Said they didn't do the Frappe bike, until going onto the computer & oh yes you were right, we do sell it.!
I went there for some help.
Uninterested in helping, rude & he ignored me several times, i even said thank you & good bye as i left, no response.
I will purchase my new ebike from elsewhere.

Staff were really helpful and knowledgable. Visited the store to look for a bike for my wife and they were honest and helped find her a bike that suited her requirements that was cheaper than the one she thought she wanted so didn’t try the hard sell and were not pushy at all.

Pre Christmas service on child's bike-done the same day..excellent service and friendly/helpful staff.
These small- local shops are a real throw back to when personal/customer service were important and valued.Well done 5/5 from me.

Fantastic service I really thought I had messed my bike up from trying to fix it myself and they repaired it for the original quoted price. 10/10 customer service great value for money.

I took my bike in, and had new Break Blocks fitted, as my other Break Blocks were really worn down. Jack fitted them there and then, which was great for me, he did a Fantastic job, and I have now new Break Blocks fitted, and will last for some time.
