Lacking a substantial central something
It seemed to lack a substantial central feature amid the somewhat bland yellow dhall and chick peas in brown sauce base. There was plenty of good pea and veg mix but it was heavy going chomping through it without a tasty, bitey and central something with it.

Hi Gabrielle, Thanks for the feedback. I think what you’re saying is that the meal had plenty in it, but lacked one standout element to bring it all together and lift it?

The food from Dabba drop is consistently varied and delicious. The meals are very healthy and balanced full of a variety of vegetables, legumes or beans, lentils and tofu, cumin brown rice.
The meals are beautifully seasoned often with coconut and a touch of spices. The cuisines are from many places like Goa, Pakistan, Gujarat, Thailand and others.
Thenportions are generous enough for 2 and the ladies who run it are lovely too! They nourished me for a few weeks while I recovered from an illness and I will definitely order again for special occasions. Highly recommend!

Full marks for service and food
I always look forward to my DabbaDrop, and this week the food was especially good. I live alone so sometimes I share the meal with a friend, but often I have to all to myself, for usually two and a bit meals.
Love the tiffin tin delivery, and the tracking is so useful. They’re always on time, and the couriers are friendly too.

I love Dabba Drop
I love Dabba Drop. As parents of 2, nights out as a couple are rare so this feels like a date night treat in your own home. Food is delicious and I love that it's delivered in a sustainable way with no waste.

I love the concept, but …
I love the concept. It’s easy to order. It’s lovely it comes delivered eco-style by lovely cyclists, where it fell down for me was the food itself. Bland and tasteless and very overpriced for what it is. Also, the tiffin tins were damaged and this is what I’ve been left with. Sad to not like it more. So sorry :(

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this. I’m really glad the ordering and delivery experience felt easy, and that our cyclists took good care of you.
However, I’m genuinely sorry the food landed as bland for you. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have, and I completely understand the disappointment. It’s also not ok that your tiffin tins arrived damaged.
If you’re happy to, please email us with your order number and a photo of the tins, and we’ll put this right. Please could I also check which menu you had so we can feed it back to the kitchen team properly and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
