Best surf coaching and best waves I ever had! We basically had a wave pool to do surf lessons, so much repetition and opportunity to work on our surfing. The daily video analysis was super helpful for seeing bad habits and learning how to work on them. I was also amazed at how useful the surfskate lessons were. We would do some surfskate exercises on land and could literally feel the difference straight away in the next surf session. Many more kind words to be said, thanks so much for everything, see you guys again soon!

I thought I dont need surf leasons they showed me why and how important it is to get it right!!

The 2 surf camps I did with Damara helped me a lot, everything we did was well thought out and effective, from the warm-ups and focus per surf session to the detailed video analysis, yoga, and surfskate. Everything is very professional and helpful on its own.

Plus, Chris and Karen take feedback very seriously and listen closely to what we think and have to say!

Nice self improvement process with the team,Chris finds all the best waves for intermediate level and also he makes a personal training method for every one,not just do this or do that,also Karen is very friendly to the student and she leads everyone to practice yoga after surfing ,it’s a very good combo during the retreat,hopefully practice what I learned this time by Chris and see them in the future again for surfing process 🤙

I can highly recommend doing a surf retreat with chris and karen!! You get high class surf coaching from two very experienced surf instructors and also constructive feedback through video analysis and lots of fun surf sessions in. I also really loved the daily yoga classes. I am already signing up for the next retreat and cant wait to surf again with them.

I did a 10 day Surf Coaching Retreat with Chris and Karen.
It was all i hoped for: Small group, amazing video analysis, great in and out of water coaching with individualized,focused goal setting (and ongiong re- assessment) and a great, positive, progressive vibe.
It's not you average surf course (that you find around the next corner) but structured, progressive training.
Even though conditions were sometimes challenging for my skill level, I progressed heaps and it showed at the end of the retreat: Got my two best waves ever during a free surf session after the retreat after a rest day. Wouldn't have been possible without the weeks with Chris and I am really grateful for that.
The camp was challenging, with lots of mental inputs and surfing. So if you want to get the most out of it, i suggest to come prepared and put some training in beforehand.

My 5th retreat with Damara surf! Was awesome as always. Can’t recommend these retreats enough!!! I’m progressing so much! I can see it in my videos.

Intermediate retreat in Krui was amazing. Guys have very professional approach. Chris and Karen helped to figure out my mistakes that I didn’t know about and I managed to fix them already during the week and got on a whole new level of surfing and making maneuvers. Now after the retreat I know my next goals and how to achieve them on my own though I would love to join the next level retreat soon. All activities were great including yoga, mobility, stretching and surf-skating. The choice of surf spots was also good in my opinion.

The choice of world class locations, a personalised coaching approach, enriched by Karen's and Chris' true dedication made a difference to my surfing. Overall an excellent experience that differentiates Damara from ordinary surf schools. Build your own opinion. You won't regret it ;)

Christian and Caren are very professionals and during all the week the main goal was to make me independent surfer. I gained a lot of very important knowledge about techniques, surf forecasting, improved my skills and moved to the level of more conscious surfing.
For sure I will join Damara surf again!

I had an incredible week with Damara Surf! Chris and Karen are not only super friendly but also truly dedicated surf coaches. The daily video analysis and surf theory sessions really helped me progress and deepened my understanding of surfing.
They always made sure to find the best surf spots each day, to practice our tasks, which made a huge difference in learning.

The yoga classes were perfectly balanced, some focused on recovery, others on building strength to support our surfing. A perfect all-around package! The whole retreat was well organized and full of great energy. Can’t wait for the next one, highly recommended!

Amazing surf retreat for no-brainer. Chris and Karen would arrange all the things. Just take your surf equipments and fully enjoy the surfing in world class surf spots.

I had a wonderful surf experience in Krui with Damara. Chris is very experienced and patient, being motivating and most important I feel very safe to be in the water with him.

The accommodation and arrangement of every day’s routine was great, we have been to a variety of surf spots e.g. Krui left, the Peak, Jenny’s, Lemong left etc.

Chris gave us different targets and goals to achieve in short term n long term according to our levels. Overall I enjoyed the whole retreat. Looking forward to maybe joining their future ones in other places!

Great experience with Damara! I did a 7 day surf retreat in Indonesia, packed with quality surf coaching & yoga classes. The video analysis done by Christian really helped me progress my surfing.
Both Karen and Chris are absolute legends, super easy going and friendly. They were really good with planning days to make sure we make the best use of the surf conditions and our time at the retreat.

Unlike some experiences I’ve had with “surf instructors” Chris and Karen will genuinely help improve your surfing. The video analysis and break down particularly helped point out where I was going wrong and has left me with some simple to follow tips which have made a big difference. The daily yoga was also amazing and specifically targeted muscles that were fatiguing after a week of surfing. This combined with a friendly easy going attitude made the whole experience wonderful!
