I paid $30 for expedited shipping (10% of the price). All through checkout it said 1-3 days. When it took 5 days they refused to refund me pointing to a shipping policy that wasn't made available during checkout and saying it was my responsibility to have read it. They made sure to be rude and dismissive while they were at it.

If you go online you can find plenty of examples of the owner directly responding to customer complaints with, "Don't buy my watches"

I suggest everyone follow his advice.

I purchased a Dan Henry 1964 Slate Grey as a Father's Day gift for my husband — a thoughtful, carefully researched purchase. My order confirmation stated it would ship within 3 business days. It did not. No one reached out to inform me of any delay. I had to contact them myself just to find out what was happening. Only then was I told the watch needed a battery replacement and would take approximately 4 more weeks to ship — with no firm delivery date guaranteed.
Not once did I receive an apology. Not once was I offered any compensation. Instead I was given three options: wait indefinitely, pay an additional $90 to switch to a comparable model, or cancel. The burden of resolution was placed entirely on me at every step.
I have to be honest — the responses I received were so devoid of personality, empathy, or basic human decency that I genuinely question whether I was ever corresponding with a real person at all. If this is an automated system, that explains a lot. If it is a human, that is somehow worse.
After sending a detailed complaint email, their response was to cancel my order and issue a refund — closing with "Hope to see you again." No apology. No acknowledgment of how poorly this was handled. Just a transactional dismissal that perfectly encapsulates this entire experience.
I chose Dan Henry because I wanted to support a small company. That decision has left a very bad taste in my mouth. This company behaves as though it is above basic customer service standards — and apparently above having real humans interact with their customers. I will not be returning.

Horrible customer experience. I sent an email requesting cancellation and Dan Henry days later decides to not read my email and instead ship the watch. They apologized saying they did not read my email and couldn't give me a refund. Scam of a company

I bought a Dan Henry 1972 in May 2025. In March 2026, the movement stopped working. I sent it to their official service center in France for a warranty repair.According to my official postal tracking, the watch was delivered on March 17th. For over 5 weeks, the support agent (Marcelo) denied receiving the watch, blaming "system updates." Only after massive pressure and providing the delivery proof did they suddenly "find" my watch.Now, they refuse the warranty repair, claiming "user abuse" due to minor, normal surface scratches on the steel case – which have zero technical connection to the electronic failure of the movement. I have photos proving the watch had no structural damage before shipping.Their ultimatum: Pay $200 for the repair or pay a $80 "ransom fee" just to get my broken property back. When I refused and mentioned my consumer rights, the support agent literally emailed me: "This is NOT up to negotiation... See you in court!"I have now filed an official complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Absolute nightmare experience. Avoid this brand if you expect any kind of after-sales service or warranty respect.

Bestellung Nr. 70214 vom 02. April 2026: eine Dan Henry 1962 in Blau (300 USD) plus zusätzliches Stahlarmband (90 USD). Die Uhr kam komplett ohne Funktion an. Es folgte ein zermürbender Mailwechsel mit dem Kundenservice – rund zehn Nachrichten über fast vier Wochen, ohne brauchbare Lösung.
Am Ende habe ich beides zurückgesendet: die defekte Uhr und das ungeöffnete Armband. Erstattet wurde am 03. Mai 2026 nur die Uhr. Die 90 USD für das Armband behält Dan Henry ein, weil „Accessories" laut AGB nicht retourniert werden können. Was bitte soll ich mit einem Stahlarmband anfangen, wenn die dazugehörige Uhr defekt war und zurückgegangen ist?
Produkt: mangelhaft. Service: unflexibel und langwierig (über einen Monat von Bestellung bis Teilerstattung). Rückgaberegelung: kundenfeindlich. Eine faire Lösung wäre das Mindeste gewesen.

Bought a Dan Henry 1962. Within months, I noticed humidity/droplets under the crystal. Emailed Dan, and he refused a warranty claim, even though this watch is waterproof to 50m. Was genuinely pretty rude about it.

I took the watch to a watch-maker to take apart and dry out - he told me the gaskets/seals were thin/typical for a cheap Chinese watch, and that the movement also wasn't a Seiko VK63.

Unbelievably horrible customer experience. Bought a watch band. Quality was poor and the length was child sized and did not fit. They refused to refund me. I’ve had way better experiences with so many companies. This company is a borderline scam. Stay away. Spend a little extra to get a real watch band from a real company.

I unluckily bought a watch by them in may of this year.
When i received it i discovered that the date was not working and contact the support.
They told me that was my fault but that thy were available to repair it.
I sent it at the end of may and until now, despite the several emails that i sent, i am not able to have serious info about when i will receive back my watch.
I am afraid it will be never. The only answers that i received were evasive and full of lies.
So at the end they are going to steal me the 380 eur that i paid.
I strongly suggest to AVOID to buy watches by them!

Horrible quality and next to impossible to return. Cannot get a full refund and must pay for shipping. The watches look good in photos. Unbearably cheap materials and it’s obvious once you see the watch in person. Now you can’t get your money back.

Beware of very shady return policy. I bought a bracelet for my 1964 38mm. I did not realize that the bracelet was for 36mm only (they apparently don't offer a replacement beads of rice bracelet for the 38mm). When I realized that it wouldn't fit my watch, I attempted to return it but was told there are no returns on bracelets/accessories. This is still in new condition with the protective plastic still on it, but they won't take it back - they actually suggested I try to sell it on ebay! That's pretty poor for an e-commerce business in 2025. Now I need to find a watch with 18mm lugs to fit this bracelet....it WONT be a Dan Henry.

Dan Henry Committed Credit Card Fraud. They took an order and payment and refused to ship it for 7 months. I could not get my money back. They then sent the wrong watch, and it was used based on strap bend I found. Now they won't let me return the watch even though they sent the wrong one. CREDIT CARD AND MAIL FRAUD Complaints to be filed.

Crap quality, has definitely gone downhill. Light and feels fake. Tried to return it with all covers on which was the most difficult process which didn't even work as it took so long

Do not waste time and money with these cheap watches. Buy a Seiko or Citizen. I purchased a chrono from Dan Henry and the second hand would not line up with 60 at Top Dead Center. I was sent calibration instructions. I performed the calibration 10 times. It got better but would not line up with Top dead center. I was then told to make a video of the calibration procedure. They threw anything at me in order to not take the watch back. I wouldn't take another watch from them even if they paid me to take it. I will dissect this watch to see if junk parts are inside it.

I bought a 1972 quartz chrono in july 2024. It was delivered to me in Italy, very nice watch, after an year it is perfectly visible in night: better than my original Rolex submariner. The superluminova works fine! Precision: +4 seconds A MONTH. A miracle. It looks wonderful on my wrist. Dan was very kind to accelerate delivery for my birthday. 5 stars , and I reallyt don't know what people is talking about quality, at least concerning the 2024 model of the 1972. I must say that the older version is quite researched for collectionists, having an alarm. Well done Dan.

Misleading info about shipping fees and charges which they *claim* are free worldwide yet are absolutely not.

I tried to cancel an order and received no reply. I then called UPS to refuse delivery and they returned it to sender. Dan Henry failed to file proper returns documentation so UPS threatened to destroy the item.

Eventually they filed it and the package kept moving. It was then returned to their listed returns address on the 21st March. They have since claimed that they will only issue a refund when it gets to their warehouse, despite the fact that I have proof that it was already delivered to them weeks ago.

They've also lied and tried to tell me that they would charge ME their import fees, shipping, and return fees to refuse it when I tried to cancel the order to begin with.

Customer service has been smug, unhelpful, and straight up condescending the entire time.

I have had to file a chargeback with my bank in an attempt to get a refund.

Please, NEVER buy from them.

Avoid. I bought a 1972 porsche orfina topgun type watch. I actually really loved the look but it's broke 3 times in 6months so I've given up (the hands kept coming loose). First time it broke they fixed for free but within a few weeks it broke again. This time they wanted to charge me!!!! Apparently warranty means nothing it was clearly my fault I mean I'm obviously so heavy handed (despite never having had a watch break on me ever!) My local place fixed it only for it to break again and again In same way...defo a design flaw!

I think it's chinese made so not best quality which is a shame as it is a beautiful watch and I didn't have 9k to spend on the Porsche Orfina.

Avoid. Buy Swiss. I think I'll go Seiko, Tissot or Stirling for a watch that doesn't tick me off. There is nothing topgun about this watch. Goose survived in the movie longer than my watch. The only similarity is that this product deserves to be shipped in a cargo plane full of rubber dog sh#t from Hong Kong.

I have ordered a vintage chronograph model.
The watch is not really working and the material they used for creating this watch is terrible.
The watch looks very bad on the wrist and one can feel that it is low quality.
The price of it is nearly 300 dollars. A refund is basically impossible. For this price one can get a much better watch from a recognized brand and not this waste material.
I am quite sure the production cost are extremely low given the quality that you get.
The case they send it in is also very bad. It looks and smells bad.
I have given them a review on instagram and they blocked me. It seems that they cannot handle criticism very well.
In short; do not waste your money with this brand and their watches.
There are advertisments/reviews on youtube but I suspect that they probably paid those "reviewers"

Watches look good on the website but are a shell of themselves in person. And then they charge for returns and ask the customer to buy insurance for the return. Complained on their Facebook advertisement and they called me a liar which was very unprofessional. When I submitted the screenshot proof they deleted my comment. Luckily took a screenshot so I have proof.

Avoid buying from them.

Shady. Chinese company. Wouldn't cancel an order until I notified my credit card company. Stay away!
