I had a broken phone that I wanted my photos and messages from. They retrieved the photos but gave me my whatsapp apk file instead of the file containing my messages. For non-tech people this is just the whatsapp app with no data. This was very frustrating given what you pay for the service.
Otherwise, they are professional and the pickup and delivery was nice.
I am completely untechy, and was desperate to find a way to retrieve my bitcoin from a ledger I had from 2018, I contacted a few companies and I left a message at Data Clinic with Mark and he asked me a few questions and very quickly put me in touch with Chris Sealy, Chris was totally amazing and helped us to access both ledgers within a very short period of time. I am so grateful for his expertise and generosity. I would highly recommend Chris and he will certainly be our first port of call for anything techy. Such a nice man. We cannot express our gratitude enough! Thank you so very much.
Dataclinic recovered all the photographs (250+ and other notes from my unusable phone. This was all facilitated thro the Courier service they employ reliably collecting the broken item from my home address then returning it along with a Usb memory stick containing the Photo's & notes. All done within their stage 1 level investigation & pricing. Some of those photographs are priceless for me! As a result I'm extremely happy with what they achieved & in their timescale.
I dropped my iPhone 14 Pro Max in the sea in Florida off a paddleboard. I stupidly believed the marketing, that they were properly IP rated to be dropped in the water for a minute or two. After working for 24hrs, it stopped working. Lesson learnt. Data Clinic were one of only people could find that would look at sea damaged phone. Safely backed up my precious photos to iCloud. Very happy customer.
The USB insert of my Lacie drive came out with the external USB lead. Dataclinic successfully retrieved all the data and transferred it to my new Lacie drive. Excellent work along with the turnaround time.
Many Thanks
Tony Mason
My phone got saltwater in it on the last day of a holiday, and wouldn't turn on. Data Clinic were amazing, took the phone in and managed to recover my holiday pictures and back them up, such a relief! Really quick and professional communicators as well.
Excellent work by the Data Clinic team from beginning to end here. We thought our laptop data was beyond salvageable, but they managed to do it in perfect condition. The whole process ran smoothly from start to end - a perfect recovery.
Friendly, professional and exceptionally good service - if you are in need of data recovery, get in touch, they might just be able to help!
Data Clinic made a virtually complete recovery from a Western Digital "Passport" portable HDD that had been re-partitioned in error.
I'm a little perplexed why it needed payment in advance compared with other recoveries, but I presume this is because of the technical processes involved - I can't complain at it being communicated beforehand, just a little unsure "why".
Certainly can't fault the end outcome - my recovery went to the upper-end of their quoted timescales but achieved a good result.
I was very happy that Data Clinic were able to recover many precious family photographs and other files from a failed hard drive. They were very professional throughout and kept me fully informed about the process. Although they are not cheap I don't think you could trust anyone else better to help you out.
Honestly, this is the best I've felt in a fortnight! I have my data back, I didn't think that would be possible and the thought of losing 2 years off work was a nightmare. I don't even have the words to say how grateful I am to these guy's.
The professional advice was that my phone, smashed flat by lorries, was unrepairable and all data lost. However, internet research led me to The Data Clinic. They were very helpful and profesional and how they retrieved my data I will never know.
Their expertise is above and beyond.
I can not recommend them highly enough.
They couldn’t recover any of my data after a failed hard disk. said they tried twice to put in donor parts but both times the drive failed. Impossible to know if it’s a scam or not. They might genuinely have tried hard and the drive is just not recoverable. But I see in comments here were someone else said data clinic said the device wasn’t recoverable by then it was recovered by someone else.
Lesson is an online backup service worth paying for.

After my phone breaking on the last day of my travels after sea water corrosion, I noticed that around 800 photos and videos of mine had not backed up to my iCloud due to poor WIFI connection where I was.
My local IQ store were no help which is what made me look for data recovery companies which is when I found Data Clinic. From the moment I submitted my enquiry on their website I was contacted the next day and talked through the process by Janice. As I live in Jersey also, they knew I was VAT exempt which made the process even better. After I posted my phone, they notified me as soon as they received it and had my data recovered in just a few days and my phone returned to Jersey within the same week period.
What I will say and this is no fault on data clinic as such is that the data recovery came back on a hard drive and the data was not in date order.
Luckily as my photos back up to iCloud only my recent photos and videos taken on the phone were of a high MB rather than a low resolution image from the photos that had already synced to my iCloud. Which meant I could sort the data out by their size and easily identify the content lost.
I am so relieved the data has been recovered as i thought so many photo and video memories had been lost especially after being told by IQ that the data was not recoverable as the phone screen was un responsive.
Do not hesitate to contact data clinic for your data recovery no matter what the damage is to your phone! They have been great :)

I was really happy with the work Data Clinic did. They were able to recover data from an iPhone that had completely stopped working, and I had to replace. Apple Store Genius Bar were no help, and I couldn't find any repair shops in Glasgow who had the expertise to do what was needed, but Data Clinic were great. I was initially unsure because the Glasgow address of their drop off point didn't look legit, but in fact they were absolutely grand. The device was collected from my house. Communication was great, everything explained well, and Chris was fully up front about the costs involved, meaning I could make an informed choice. All the data I needed was recovered within a couple of weeks. Thanks to Chris and Mohammad for their help throughout, can't recommend them highly enough.

Data Clinic were able to save 100% of my data from a damaged phone. The team were always quick to reply to enquiries and provided excellent customer service throughout. I hope I'm not in a position where I would need a recovery service again, but if I was, I would have no hesitation coming back to the data clinic!

Great Professional Service From Data Clinic
I was locked out of my MotoG6 phone by accident and somehow I could not enter my Password. Phone shops simply said I had to do a factory reboot and lose many excellent picture and video memories.
Instead I contacted Date Clinic by phone and within a few seconds was talking to a real person! Michele on the desk talked me through the options and provided quotes for the work. I was able to visit the Clinic and was courteously received and went over the issues.
Within a few hours the Data Clinic team was working on it and we had a few issues with the password. We sorted this out as the keyboard layout on the Moto G6 differed to the current Samsung phone I had.
Once this was sorted out Mohamed got back in touch with me within a couple of days to say all my photos and videos had been recovered.
I then picked these up at the clinic with the very sturdy packaging and data stick. This included well over 1000 photos and videos with standout memories of being atop a Swiss mountain - Jungfrau with a helicopter taking off. A very Bond film moment.
From start to finish the Data Clinic Team were very professional and based on my experience I can only recommend five stars for courtesy clear and very reasonable pricing and quality treatment.
Thank you so much Data Clinic

Very poor customer service, questionable reputation.
Think carefully about where you send your precious data to. Initial conversation was indeed very polite, I was pushed to commit to the premium service but was 'reassured' service would be completed relatively quickly despite going for the cheaper option. After this initial contact the service was appalling, 2 customer service persons were patronising, mansplaining, one in particular talking as if they couldn't care less, vague, repeating themselves and one mocked me for calling back the next day as I hadn't heard back from him even though he said he would. "I spoke to you 17 hours ago, ha, ha."
0% of my data and my work was recovered.
I sent it on 5th December, received it back today 20th of January. In this period of time, three times I contacted company for information about what was going on (having spent £180 without any confirmation being given back or a receipt,) three times I was told they would get back to me that day, three times they didn't. Mohammed and Mark (x2). The only occasion they got in touch with me (by email) was at the initial stage to ask for the £180 to fund the sourcing of identical spare parts for my drive which cost £40 and secondly when I had to beg them to take me seriously on the 9th January as I hadn't heard a thing back. I received an email later that morning. When I called on the 16th January, they told me that the Drive failed and that they were going to get in touch with me on the next day, despite this now being well over the 20 working days claim on the website. The woman on the phone on this occasion was polite and I am grateful for their level of service.
I think that trust is key to this industry and service and I cannot say that at any stage I felt that I was informed or respected. Think carefully about whether you can afford to take this sort of risk with your data and want to be hanging on for information. Of course, I am heartbroken about what I have lost, but being spoken to and treated with such disrespect compounded what was a stressful and precarious process and situation where you are having to blindly trust that the company are doing what they say they are. I would never use this company again.
Response to your reply:
In response to your reply: like your responses to other people's reviews, you seem to want to discredit both the reviewer and rubbish their experiences. The reviews are here so that people and businesses aren't misled and can get a good understanding of what level of service they can expect. Your reply is a reflection of your attitude to one of your customers and how you treat them.
I am described in your reply 'three' times as having been distressed and mistrustful and are exaggerating to such an extent that you reveal yourself to be completely untrustworthy and are really just lying.
Yes, I was distressed to lose the access to my data which I need for my job. I wrote in my review that I was. Any person who has any degree of empathy or who has experienced this would know the financial and personal implications of this. The £800 quote isn't nothing!
It appears that you are emphasizing my emotional state of mind in order to discredit the legitimacy of my review rather than take any responsibility. It confirms your mansplaining/you were emotional and 'this needed managing' garbage. It reads as totally backward and sexist and that you are trying to belittle me. This also shows that you are making judgements about mental health and using this as a line of attack against me to discredit my review. I am not quite sure what this has to do with the level of service that 'you' provided and what purpose this type of reply serves your potential customers who want to know about how 'you' treat people and your outcomes in getting the job done efficiently. You didn't 'manage the situation' and it is another lie that you claim you did. It is actually an insult and you are lying in order to cover up your poor service and poor product.
To be clear, the mistrust came from having been let down 3 times. (I don't know how it works for you but when a company says they will get back to you, you generally take them at their word. After the second time you realise a pattern is emerging.) It also developed after having spoken to someone on the phone who clearly couldn't care less and who I know wasn't going to follow up because their tone suggested so. There was also the drip effect of knowing that I was going to be exploited having already parted with a lot of money, you having my drive and being able to do nothing to get it back.
(I'm not sure you understand mansplaining. My experience of talking to both M and M was one of being spoken down to as if I couldn't possibly understand anything technical and I got the impression it was because I am female.)
It was 24 working days, excluding the Xmas and N. Year break.

When my hard drive developed a mechanical failure, thought i had lost a years worth of photography work. The Data Clinic managed to recover all files, their professionalism, speed of service and transparency has been outstanding, absolute super stars
Was told by another company that I had completely deleted my Hard Drive, I was Gutted!
Then a friend referred me to Data Clinic, who managed to save 90% of all my files....! So happy :-)
Thank you so much.
You get what you pay for! I fully endorse everything positive that has been said here before. My local TechFix shop couldn't handle my problem but one thing they did do is gave me the contact details for Data Clinic. For anyone who might be a bit IT illiterate and/or online nervous (i.e. me), and worried about entrusting their precious files to an unseen third party, don't be. Put all your concerns and worries behind you and really, really put your trust in Data Clinic. From first contact to the final sign-off, Data Clinic gave me complete assurance that they could retrieve the locked-in data/files in my "dead" laptop. Especial thanks to Mohammad for his patient explanations and quiet courtesy during the process. I strongly recommend this service for their expertise and efficiency alone.
