Got tom ford frames cheaper than anywhere else. Forgot to enter the 20% promo code. Emailed and the owner personally immediately responded and issued it. Glasses came within 3 days. I’ve seen where ppl questioned th legitimacy of this site on Reddit- she answered on there herself and seems like a sweet 24 yr old trying to do business the right way! Thank youuuuu!

I am so thankful I chose Designer Daydream for my sunglasses. This was my first experience with this company, and it was overall excellent. I received exactly what I purchased, and it was packed well. No damage and excellent price point. With all of the scams happening, I was reluctant, but I am happily satisfied with this experience.

Ordering from Designer Daydream

Ordering designer items from 3rd party sellers can certainly be a stressful transaction, however, I felt confident in making a purchase with Designer Daydream. I reached out via email with an inquiry, and they responded within the hour and assured me of my concerns I had before placing an order. The item was purchased and received the following day which was really great and shows that this seller truly had the item in their inventory. Smooth and simple process and will consider ordering again in the future!

Terrible service

We received the sunglasses and the frame is warped and misaligned. The people at the store are refusing to deal with the exchange and telling us we have to manually adjust ourselves. When you pay $400 for a pair of designer sunglasses we have yet to experience something like this where we have to manually adjust anything. Would never buy anything there again

We’re truly sorry to hear that this was your experience and understand how disappointing it can feel when a luxury purchase doesn’t meet expectations upon arrival.

All of our eyewear is thoroughly inspected prior to shipment and confirmed to be aligned and in proper condition before leaving our facility. Acetate frames, including Saint Laurent styles, are intentionally designed to be adjustable, as minor alignment shifts can occur during transit—particularly with international shipping—due to temperature changes or handling. This type of issue is considered a standard adjustment rather than a manufacturing defect and is something optical professionals safely perform every day.

Understanding the customer’s hesitation about adjusting the frame themselves, we recommended a professional adjustment by a licensed optician or an authorized Saint Laurent boutique. We also offered the option to return the item for a full refund by shipping it back using a self-created return label, as we’re unable to generate prepaid international return labels. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response regarding this option.

We took the time to carefully review photos and videos, explain all available options in detail, and offer guidance to help reach a fair resolution. While we regret that we were unable to meet expectations in this case, we appreciate the feedback and remain committed to transparency, responsiveness, and customer care.

Buyers Beware: Item Never Received, No Resolution After Nearly a Month

I placed an order on January 4 for Saint Laurent sunglasses from Designer Daydream via the Shop app. The order in the app shows “Delivered” on January 10, but the package was never received. There is no signature confirmation and no delivery photo.

I contacted the merchant on January 12 and was told by phone that a USPS claim would be filed on my behalf that day. This was later reiterated in writing on January 16, when the seller again stated that a claim had been submitted on my behalf on January 12. However, in a subsequent email on January 17, I was told that USPS does not allow claims to be filed until six days after a delivery scan and that the shipment only became eligible on January 16. This directly contradicts the earlier statements that a claim had already been opened days prior.

In prior written email communication, the seller stated verbatim that a refund or replacement would be provided once USPS completed its investigation and issued a determination. At no point in that correspondence was any ‘no-liability’ policy cited. In a subsequent public response, however, the seller framed the matter as relying solely on carrier confirmation of delivery, without addressing the earlier written assurance that a customer resolution would follow the claim outcome. As of now, no refund, replacement, or final resolution has been provided.

The constant shifting and contradictory statements make the seller’s representations unreliable.

I also contacted my local USPS post office directly, who advised that since the item was not received, the matter needed to be resolved with the merchant.

Nearly one month later, there has been no replacement, no refund, and no resolution. All communication and Progress has occurred only when I initiated contact; the seller has taken no independent or proactive steps to resolve the matter or provide updates.

All responses from the seller were rigid, contradictory, and dismissive in tone, referring to my situation as “alleged non-receipt,” which was inappropriate given that the issue was reported immediately, documented, and unsupported by any proof of delivery.

For a small retailer selling via Shopify, this lack of accountability, and customer-focused resolution is unacceptable.

The seller continues to rely solely on a generic “delivered” scan while providing no proof of delivery to me (no signature, no photo), despite standard e-commerce and consumer-protection practices and Shopify’s own merchant compliance guidance placing responsibility for successful delivery and resolution of non-delivery on the seller, not the customer.

Because of this experience, which is unlike any I have had with other online retailers, I would strongly advise future buyers to purchase elsewhere and from a more reputable platform that provides meaningful customer protection and timely resolution when items are not received.

We’d like to clarify a few important points, as there appears to be some confusion in this review.

As soon as we were notified of the non-receipt, we immediately opened a USPS Missing Mail Search. This is not the same as a USPS insurance claim. A Missing Mail Search can be opened right away and is used to help locate a package that may have been mis-delivered. We also suggested multiple times for you to contact your local post office for a quick clarification on the matter as this has worked out the best in our experience to find the missing package.

USPS does not allow an insurance claim to be filed until six days after a delivery scan. Once the shipment became eligible on the sixth day, we filed the claim promptly on the buyer’s behalf. The claim has since been denied by USPS due to confirmed proof of delivery, which is a determination made solely by the carrier. We are awaiting the formal letter to be mailed to us, which then we would contact you with a scan of this and further steps that you can take.

When a package is scanned as delivered, USPS considers it delivered unless they identify a carrier error. In these cases, the recipient must work directly with their local post office, as merchants do not have access to GPS data, delivery routes, or driver records. We also reference this in our terms and FAQ.

As clearly stated in our delivery policy, Designer Daydream is not liable for items that are marked as delivered by the carrier but are later reported as missing or stolen. Customers may choose to pursue further resolution through their banking institution if they wish, in which we would properly coordinate with them.

We understand how frustrating delivery issues can be and regret that USPS was unable to recover the package. We acted promptly and followed USPS procedures at every step as well as spoke with you thoroughly throughout.
