I've purchased from them several times. Items always arrive promptly. Their prices are good.
Their website tells you repeatedly that dyes are great for multiple uses, but they are not. They say “splitting” is normal. This means if you want Dutch Chocolate, you will get purple or blue. I’ve been dyeing for years and ice dyeing in particular, and this is a first. No explanation, but many emails saying it’s to be expected.

wow good
There service is excellent. When ordered my first 3 items., ine was out off stock. How ever I contact them . And said it was for my holiday. There straight send the other items by express in 2 days I had the most comfortable cloth I ever had on.
I’ve been using this company for five years. I got in two different colors of light green and both come our black or muddy brown on iced dyed shirts. I already had moss green which I never use either too dark. The answer. That’s your problem……so who’s another dye company?
I have ordered set color from Dharma Trading Company twice. The paint is gorgeous for fabric very good coverage and hiding capability. Plus my first order went to England and so they sent me a new order without charging the extra shipping cost even though it was my fault that it went to England. I didn't fill out the shipping address properly. So I would also include on top of the excellent paint excellent customer service!
More dye for your money. Only catch is I have to order only 3 dyes at a time to get a reasonable shipping rate.
I've been a customer of Dharma's for 20 years and I keep coming back. They have consistently low prices on quality products. They have cheap swatches available for every product so you can know exactly what you're getting before making a large order. Today one of the items I ordered was backordered, and someone reached out to me personally to ask how I wanted that handled, and she was able to substitute a similar item for me so I'd not be delayed in starting my project.
Dharma is my go-to.
They stock EVERYTHING I need to dye anything!
Plus: Their customer service reps actually know how to dye & what works best with what!
My experiences so far:
Dharma stocks it, gets it to me, and offers great dying tutorials.
Had a few experiences with Dharma Trading. Ordered many dye only to find out after purchase they ran out on one order. On another order, paid for 3 day shipping and it wasn’t shipped and delivered until a week later. They seem to have a regular problem where their website does not accurately reflect their inventory so many times orders get cancelled after payment was made a few days pass.
We ordered over a 100 dollars in dye. Like most users we needed ALL the colors. Apparently they was out of stock on a few dyes. They only sent a few and refunded us the rest of money Instead of telling us this and giving us an option to cancel the full order (without all dyes we couldn't complete our order) and had to refund our customer. They shouldn't let you order stuff out of stock and then refund after half the order is already shipped. I will not be ordering from here again.
Dharma trading company has excellent customer service, great prices and the best products for DIY tie dye projects.
This happened awhile ago but I just tripped over this site today so here is my story.
Dharma mailed some very heavy items in the same box as some very fragile jars of dye, predictably resuling in the dye being smashed and the box leaking dye everywhere on its journey to me. Why not send in two boxes, or at least protect the dye from breakage by putting it in a smaller box or layer of bubble wrap, or at least wrap it in bags so it's less messy when it gets crushed? Their argument is that they cut corners on shipping to save customers money. As if they did me a FAVOR by spilling dye all over multiple people's clothing, vehicles, workplaces etc.
I never asked for this "favor". Personally if I were offered a choice to have a greatly lowered chance of dye spilling everywhere, for an extra ten bucks S&H, I'd choose the upgraded packaging. And what about the courier company drivers and sorters who no doubt had a huge fuss to clean up the leakage too, without the benefit I supposedly enjoyed of saving a few bucks? They have a right to work with non-leaky parcels.
The worst part was not the spill but the lack of remorse. If they had said "Oh that should never have happened and sounds unpleasant! We are sorry!" it would be one thing, even if it was insincere! But they did not apologize or acknowledge that they had erred. They seemed to be saying they accept this happening once in awhile, and have no interest in changing, since it would cost a bit more to do things right.
Their product is nice enough but their non-reaction to hearing about the leaky package was extremely unprofessional, so I would never trust them again in the future and warn people against them whenever I can.
Do not order dye from Dharma unless you're willing to have it end up coating some poor courier employees.
